This is a part time post for 26.25 hours per week.
We are currently in the position to recruit a Health Care Assistant to ICAR (Intermediate Care and Rehabilitation) unit.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with an interest and desire to contribute to the delivery of high-quality care to patients with complex care and rehabilitation needs.
ICAR is a 24 bedded nurse led rehabilitation unit, offering medical, nursing, and therapy assessment and providing patient centred care to optimise independence, recovery and patient wellbeing.
You will be part of the multi-disciplinary team, consisting of medical staff, Pharmacists, Nurse Practitioners, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Nurses and Health Care Assistants providing high quality holistic care to patients and support to their families.
Health Care Assistant (HCA) role is a patient-facing position designed to provide high-quality care under the supervision of qualified nurses or clinicians. This role bridges the gap between personal care and clinical tasks, requiring staff to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
The team is welcoming, friendly and supportive and the successful applicant will be fully supported.
You will be expected to maintain agreed standards of care, directly protecting and promoting patients dignity, choices, self-esteem and well-being at all times with compassion and commitment.
Main duties of the job
Applicants are expected to display the required behaviours and attitudes needed to provide safe and compassionate care to our patients and possess the required skills for this role.
It is essential you have good communication and organisational skills and can work under pressure. You must be able to demonstrate a caring and compassionate attitude in all aspects of care delivery.
We provide a comprehensive Care Certificate Programme (which consists of both classroom-based and self-directed study) that will support you in achieving the competencies and skills required to deliver high quality and safe patient care.

We are delighted to invite applications for a full-time Cognitive Behavioural therapist to work with people who have disordered eating but who may not meet the criteria for specialist Eating Disorder services. Applicants may already be trained in CBT-ED, or they may have a general CBT qualification (plus BABCP accreditation) and have an interest in this area. There will be an opportunity to apply for the 1-year top up training via the University of Sheffield CBT -Eating disorders training programme and the successful applicant will be given protected time to undertake this course of study. In addition, they will join the CONNECT Specialist Eating Disorder Service on placement to gain experience of working with more complex Eating Disorders.
The training course begins in January 2027.
Main duties of the job
Joining the service as a CBT psychotherapist working directly with service users and supporting the work of the wider Primary Care Mental Health Service, through training consultation and supervision. The aim of the service is to provide a flexible and creative therapeutic offer, tailored to individual need and complex needs. A particular priority is to address health inequalities and ensure equitable access to psychological support and interventions.
Undergoing the training, you will be supported to develop CBT-ED competencies within the workplace in conjunction with the academic support offered by the course team. Benefitting from clinical supervision on the course and in the workplace, with opportunities for peer support. You will have time for study and assignments built into the job plan.
Joining two other professionals providing a specialist disordered eating pathway within the Primary Care Therapies team. Our team sits between NHS Talking Therapies for Anxiety and Depression (formerly IAPT) and community mental health teams and supports the work of the multidisciplinary teams in primary and secondary care. In addition to work with disordered eating, the post holder will provide assessment and therapy for people other complex mental health issues, particularly complex trauma. The post holder will provide advice, consultation and supervision to colleagues in the wider mental health service to support their knowledge and skills in working with this patient group.

Main duties of the job
Children's Inpatient Unit (Ward 30)
Ward 30 is a Children's Inpatient Unit that was purpose built in 2016. The unit includes 35 inpatient beds and a two-bedded stabilisation area. The ward has an adolescent room, school room, play room and we are currently designing a new sensory room.
Children's Urgent Care
The Children's Emergency Department (ED), Children's Clinical Decisions Area (CCDA) and Short Stay became one unit in November 2023. The Urgent Care nursing team work across the 3 areas.
Children's ED is a busy department who currently see large volumes of children every year in an area specifically dedicated to children. Children who are attending with urgent care complaints are streamed straight to this area.
The CCDA sees children referred from GPs, children with direct access and children sent from ED requiring a further assessment. The short stay area is for children who require a prolonged period of observation but who are unlikely to need a full admission to hospital, this could include fluid challenges, spacing of inhalers and review by other specialities.
A team of clinical skills educators will be on hand with a supportive and robust training package across both inpatients and urgent care, including:

Trauma skills
Care of complex inpatients
Safeguarding
Enhanced Paediatric nursing skills
Palliative care
Wound care/minor injuries

We offer a 2 week supernumerary period to all new starters with an option to extend the period. A bespoke training package is offered to all staff.

Clinic-based position supporting nurse lead clinics across Locality - applicants must have an active NMC PIN number as essential to role.

This is an exciting chance to join the East Locality to work as a Clinic, supporting non housebound patients that require clinical interventions that are deemed complex and do not meet practice nurse criteria. You will need to be able to travel to the clinic sites. You will provide a holistic approach to individuals, that includes, assessment, planning and implementation of care along with review. The successful candidate will act as an autonomous practitioner providing a comprehensive clinical assessment service to patients resulting in a safe and appropriate clinical decision.
The successful candidate should have experience of wound care, with a particular interest in leg ulcer assessment, treatment and follow up care including compression therapy and lymphoedema care as well as catherisations. Prescribing or a willingness to complete nurse prescribing essential. You will also support with triaging of referrals.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as part of the integrated Multidisciplinary team under the supervision of the Clinical Team Manager. The post holder will advise and/or train parents, carers, Flying Start workers, childcare staff and others in the child's environment on facilitating and enhancing the child's communication development and environment.
The post holder will contribute to the ongoing development of the Flying Start Speech and Language service.
The post holder will offer supervision to Band 5 SLT's and Band 4 Speech and Language Technical Instructors as well as providing placements toSpeech and Language Therapy Students.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
