As one of our many rotational specialist clinical pharmacist, band 7 you will be part of a large, friendly and supportive team dedicated to excellent patient care and staff development. Our Pharmacy team includes numerous experienced, advanced specialists who support and nurture the junior pharmacists to learn and develop the clinical knowledge, skills, and experience to equip you for a wide range of career options. The band 7 rotational specialist pharmacist role is complimented by an extensive pharmacist rotation and our Band 7 development pathway. Main duties of the job
Our Band 7 programme includes a band 7 development pathway which aligns with the national Core Advanced Pharmacist Curriculum. The rotations include Acute Medicine, Critical Care, Haematology/Oncology, Paediatrics, Antimicrobial stewardship, Neurology, Cardiothoracics, medicines information, formulary and medicines safety. All rotations are 6 months in length and include clinical and dispensary commitments plus speciality project and development work. Our pharmacy department has excellent links with the Keele University Pharmacy and Medical Schools and there are opportunities to gain experience in delivering formal and informal teaching to pharmacy and medical students and to undertake research. We support every one of our pharmacists with opportunities to explore and develop their own individual interests as part of building their own, unique, career portfolio. Training time is allocated for a wide range of courses and opportunities. Main duties of the job
The post rotates across a variety of specialist inpatient and outpatient areas which include:
- Critical Care - early rehabilitation of trauma, surgical, medial and neurological patients, including cognitive assessment, functional assessment, splinting and casting.
- Palliative Care - oncology/renal conditions, fast track D/C planning & complex manual handling assessments & equipment provision. Long term life limiting conditions and challenging conversations.
- Frail Elderly - frailty management, patients with dementia, falls management, complex discharge planning.
- Emergency Portals - rapid decision making in relation to d/c planning and equipment provision & admission avoidance. Working across A+E and same day discharge wards.

The Children and Young People's (CYPS) Directorate in Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is offering an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist to join the well-established multi-disciplinary NEH CYPS Community Team. You will be based in Aldershot with an expectation to travel to Leatherhead or other bases if needed.
This post will be suitable for a highly motivated Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist interested in ensuring excellent psychological care is accessible for children and young people with complex mental health needs from diverse backgrounds. This is a permanent full time (37.5 hours) post. Applications are invited from Child & Adolescent Psychotherapists registered with the Association of Child Psychotherapists and to those currently in training who expect to become registered in 2026.
The post-holder will be part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering specialist interventions for children and young people experiencing complex, chronic and/or severe mental health difficulties. The post-holder will provide evidence-based psychotherapy interventions. The post-holder will contribute to service-development through service-evaluation and audit, taking into consideration service-user participation.
All our staff have regular supervision and access to a wide variety of CPD opportunities.
Main duties of the job
To provide specialist psychoanalytic psychotherapy, parent/child psychotherapy, short-term psychodynamic psychotherapy, state of mind assessments, psychoanalytic parent work and psychoanalytical consultations.
To supervise and teach trainees and colleagues within the service.
To provide advice and consultation to schools and other organisations as required.
To lead therapeutic groups for parents and children.
To work autonomously within ACP guidelines and trust policies.
To develop audit and research activities and to propose and implement policy changes within the area served by the team.
