Job summary
Cleveland Terrace Dental Practice in Darlington is looking for a Dental Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team on a permanent basis.
This is a great opportunity to join a busy 5-surgery practice where you’ll work alongside a variety of experienced clinicians and gain exposure to a broad range of treatments. We are ideally looking for a qualified Dental Nurse, but we’re also happy to consider someone currently undertaking their dental nursing training who is looking for a supportive practice to develop their career.
We provide a mix of general and specialist dentistry, including endodontics, implants and visiting specialist clinicians, giving you plenty of opportunity to build your skills and experience.
Main duties of the job
As a Dental Nurse at Cleveland Terrace, you’ll work across our 5 surgeries alongside a range of clinicians. Our nurses move between surgeries, giving you the opportunity to develop a broad range of clinical experience rather than working with the same clinician every day.
Your role will include supporting dentists and clinicians during a variety of treatments giving you exposure to more advanced areas of dentistry.
You’ll be responsible for maintaining high standards of infection prevention and control, supporting the smooth running of the surgeries and taking part in our decontamination room rota.
Most importantly, you’ll play an important role in making sure our patients feel comfortable, supported and well cared for throughout their visit.
Our reception team is kept separate from the nursing team, allowing you to focus on your clinical responsibilities and patient care
About us

We provide a mix of general and specialist dentistry, including endodontics, implants and visiting specialist clinicians, giving you plenty of opportunity to build your skills and experience.
What We Offer

- Working hours: 8:25am – 5:10pm
- Competitive pay
- Pension
- Paid day off for your birthday
- Funded postgraduate qualifications
- Exposure to implants, endodontics and specialist dentistry
- Structured support and training for trainee nurses
- Dedicated staff room
- Opportunities to develop your clinical skills and progress your career
About the Role
Our reception team is kept separate from the nursing team, allowing you to focus on your clinical responsibilities and patient care.
About You
We’re ideally looking for a qualified and GDC-registered Dental Nurse, although we’re also happy to consider someone who is currently completing their dental nursing training.
You’ll be friendly, approachable and professional, with a reliable and organised approach to your work. You’ll be a confident communicator who genuinely enjoys working with patients and colleagues and takes pride in providing excellent care.

If you’re a qualified Dental Nurse or trainee looking for a permanent opportunity with a supportive team, varied clinical experience and opportunities to develop your career, we’d love to hear from you.
The Envisage Dental Group is certified B-Corp, we celebrate collaboration and transparency. We are proud to be an inclusive equal opportunity workplace.
