Job summary
The purpose of this post is to provide specialist Occupational Therapy rehabilitation intervention for patients on the acute stroke ward at Scunthorpe General Hospital.
The post aims to support effective discharge planning as part of a wider MDT. You would be expected to undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner ensuring the service delivers excellent care to patients.
This ward provides initial care for suspected stroke patients for the Northern Lincolnshire area via a Hyper acute stroke unit and then acute rehabilitation in the initial stages post stroke. The team offer some initial follow up on discharge and they also liaise closely with the community stroke and neuro team in NL for ongoing interventions for patients on discharge.
The post would ideally suit an experienced Band 6 Therapist or a Band 5 wishing to progress into a more senior role. Development roles would be considered with the applicant supported to achieve work-based competencies in order to progress from Band 5 -Band 6.
There will be an expectation that you will participate in the 7 day working rota.
Main duties of the job
Perform advanced Occupational Therapy assessment of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions. Use advanced clinical reasoning skills to provide a diagnosis and to develop and deliver an individualised treatment programme.
Responsible for managing own caseload and a defined area of the service, working without direct supervision.
Supervise, educate and assess students, assistants and Band 5 staff and provide specialised advice to other health care professionals in the specific clinical area.
Undertake evidence-based audit and research projects to further develop own clinical practice and development of the service area. Make recommendations on changes to practice to the clinical lead/manager. May lead the implementation of specific changes to practice or contribute to development of service protocols.

This is a rare opportunity to lead one of the Alliance's core programmes at a moment of real ambition for cancer care. The National Cancer Plan for England sets out the goal that three in four people diagnosed with cancer should survive five years or more by 2035, with all cancer waiting time standards met by 2029. The Diagnosis and Treatment portfolio is how we deliver that locally.
As Programme Lead you will hold overall responsibility for the delivery, resources and funding of the Diagnosis and Treatment portfolio. You will make sure that once a patient is referred, their diagnosis and treatment is as quick, effective and consistent as possible -- working principally through our acute providers and our tumour-specific Expert Reference Groups, and with patients and carers through the Patient and Carer Voice in Cancer group.
You will also provide senior leadership within the Alliance team, deputise for the Managing Director as required, and represent the Alliance at pan-London and national forums.
Main duties of the job
What you will be responsible for:
o Leading the Diagnosis and Treatment portfolio, with overall accountability for resources, funding and delivery.o Delivering and sustaining the three national cancer standards across our acute providers: the Faster Diagnosis Standard (28 days, 75%), the 31-day treatment standard (96%) and the 62-day treatment standard (85%).o Establishing a clear programme framework in line with recognised methodologies and the Alliance's governance structure -- programme plans, milestones, risk management and Board-level reporting.o Reducing unwarranted variation and tackling health inequalities in cancer diagnosis and treatment across our boroughs.o Identifying and scaling innovation -- including AI-enabled diagnostics, robotic and community diagnostics -- and applying quality improvement methodology and data to target improvement.o Negotiating with and holding to account executive and clinical leads within acute trusts, in politically sensitive and sometimes conflicting environments.o Managing a delegated budget, building business plans, and identifying cost savings and revenue opportunities while protecting equitable access.o Leading and line-managing the Diagnosis and Treatment team, and programme-managing cross-disciplinary teams including clinicians, nurses and AHPs, finance, digital and estates colleagues.

Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking two motivated and compassionate Tobacco Dependency Advisors to join our Community Mental Health Teams.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing physical health programme focused on tackling one of the biggest causes of health inequalities for people living with severe mental illness. Smoking rates remain significantly higher among people accessing mental health services, contributing to poorer physical health and reduced life expectancy. As a Tobacco Dependency Advisor, you will play a key role in helping people make positive changes that improve both their physical and mental wellbeing.
Working as an integrated member of a Community Mental Health Team, you will provide evidence-based tobacco dependency treatment and behavioural support, helping people reduce or stop smoking through personalised interventions, harm reduction approaches and ongoing encouragement. You will work closely with nurses, social workers, psychologists, occupational therapists, pharmacy staff, peer support workers and medical colleagues to embed physical health improvement within routine mental healthcare.

As a successful applicant you will gather and analyse information from a range of sources to support ADHD and autism assessments, contributing to diagnostic formulation within a multidisciplinary team. You will prepare high-quality assessment reports, maintain accurate clinical records, and communicate assessment outcomes in a clear, compassionate and accessible manner. The role will involve working collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies, contributing to service improvement initiatives, participating in supervision and continuing professional development to maintain high standards of practiceMain duties of the job

Estates Building Operations Manager - Band 7 Fixed term contract 15 months
The Estates Building Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of building maintenance services across the Trust estate, ensuring that buildings are safe, compliant, and fit for purpose. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Heart Failure Specialist Nurse Service on a 12-month fixed-term / secondment maternity cover. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Emergency Department nurse to join our leadership team as a Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse on a 12-month fixed-term basis to provide maternity cover.
This role offers the opportunity to further develop clinical leadership, operational management and workforce development skills while contributing to the delivery of safe, high-quality emergency care.
We are seeking an individual who can demonstrate strong clinical expertise, effective leadership skills and the ability to coordinate a busy emergency care environment. Applicants should have substantial Emergency Department experience and be able to evidence experience in shift coordination, supporting junior staff and managing patient flow within a fast-paced setting.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse team to support service delivery, staff development and patient experience, ensuring the department continues to provide safe, effective and compassionate care.
The new state-of-the-art Emergency Department includes:
- 8-bedded Resuscitation Area
- 29 Majors Cubicles
- 3 Mental Health Assessment Rooms
- Rapid Assessment and Treatment Area
- 6 Cubicles within the Children and Young People's Emergency Department
Main duties of the job
As a Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse within the Emergency Department, the post holder will provide strong clinical and operational leadership, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and high-quality patient care within a fast-paced and challenging environment.
The successful candidate will be expected to undertake the role of Shift Coordinator/Nurse in Charge, taking responsibility for the day-to-day operational management of the department. This includes overseeing patient flow, managing departmental escalation, and ensuring the safe deployment of staff to maintain appropriate skill mix and safer staffing requirements throughout the shift.
The post holder will provide expert clinical support to the multidisciplinary team, acting as a role model and demonstrating professional leadership in the management of patients requiring urgent and emergency care.

Hsdu Endoscopy Technician - Band 2 Permanent - 37.5 hours per week
The Decontamination Technician is responsible for providing effective safe and efficient collection, decontamination (washing, disinfection and sterilization) and distribution of re-usable medical devices.
Technicians must comply with the essential requirements of MDR 2017 and UKCA, the decontamination units maintain a quality system (I.S.O 13485:2016), this is a legal requirement under the consumer protection act.
To carry out the receipt, disassembly, cleaning, disinfection, reassembly, packing and sterilization of reusable medical devices. Record all processes in the tracking and tracing database. To reprocess Endoscopes, record all processes of each Endoscope in the tracking and tracing database and to ensure all Endoscopes are placed in a dryer cabinet within 1 hour prior to use.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Team MWL as a Apprentice Systems/RA Administrator in our Systems Admin team based at Jubilee Court, St Helens.

Main duties of the job

The Systems Administrator / Registration Authority (RA) Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and integrity of clinical and corporate system data, ensuring that information is accurate, secure, and maintained in accordance with NHS standards and local policies. The post holder provides essential support for user access management, Registration Authority services, and smartcard administration, enabling staff to securely access the systems required to deliver patient care and operational services.
Working as part of the ITOperations Team, the post holder will maintain reference data, system configuration records, and supporting documentation across a range of healthcare applications. They will liaise with clinical, operational, and technical staff to ensure systems remain up to date, access controls are appropriately managed, and changes are implemented accurately and efficiently. Active Together is a multimodal oncology prehabilitation and rehabilitation service developed by the Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre (AWRC) at Sheffield Hallam University and funded by Yorkshire Cancer Research. It aims to help people prepare for cancer treatment, recover more effectively, and maintain healthy lifestyles beyond diagnosis.
Reporting to the Service Therapy Manager and Lead Physiotherapist, the post holder will deliver the physical activity component of the programme, contributing to a high-quality, inclusive, multidisciplinary service.
Key responsibilities include leading group exercise sessions, delivering one-to-one support, carrying out clinical assessments, and completing administrative tasks. Collaborative working across the multidisciplinary team is essential.
Daily access to a car is required.
Based at Skipton Hospital, the team is small and supportive, with a strong focus on delivering excellent patient care and experience throughout the cancer journey.
Main duties of the job
- Work under Physiotherapist guidance to deliver prehabilitation and rehabilitation for people living with and beyond cancer.
- Manage a caseload across all stages of the cancer pathway.

The CAMHS Single Point of Access team are recruiting an Assistant Psychologist post at Band 4 within Community CAMHS.
This post holder will support the CAMHS Single Point of Access by screening the incoming referrals, tasking them to the correct clinician for thorough triage, triaging some referrals, and completing any follow up actions for families and young people.
The post holder will also support with quality improvement projects on SPA including developing our signposting guide, obtaining feedback about the SPA service from young people and families, and developing and maintaining relationships with our community partners, including all the local CAMHS Teams (First Steps, Specialist CAMHS, CAMHS Disability), our 16-25 year old services (Off Centre and Growing Minds), our other NHS Children's Services (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech and Language Therapy), and our voluntary sector organisations in Hackney.
We will provide opportunities for shadowing and joint working with our CAMHS teams depending on the learning and career goals of the post holder.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will:
- Conduct and evaluate outcomes for duty by being directly involved at every stage of the process including screening.
- Duty tasks involving liaison between all clinicians and staff to ensure referral process are scheduled to fit with service targets
- Attend and contribute to team meetings, involving recording relevant information for the purpose of tracking referrals, maintaining robust data collection and overseeing assessment/triage clinic operations.

Community CAMHS is part of Community Services at Homerton University Hospital. Community CAMHS is situated within Hackney Ark. The Hackney Ark is a specialist multi-disciplinary service for children and young people with developmental delay and disabilities in Hackney and the City of London.

Main duties of the job
The post holder ensures the delivery of a high-quality, safe, and efficient imaging service, acting as a technical specialist, team leader, and professional role model.
To act as an assessor/mentor to the medical photographers, contributing to the development and delivery of specific training programmes
Photography will primarily be used for patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, research, teaching and publication.
To provide valuable clinical imaging/information that will be used for virtual evaluation of patients and planning of the patient's care pathway
Accountable for the Ophthalmology Photography Department's team, finances and physical resources.
To work with the manufacturers to maintain the efficiency and clinical effectiveness of imaging systems.
