<p>Are you a compassionate Healthcare Assistant who enjoys making a real difference to people in their own homes?</p><p>An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Urgent Care Response and Intermediate Care Team, supporting patients across the community in North Kent.</p><p>Our service plays an important role in helping to prevent avoidable hospital admissions, support timely hospital discharge and enable people to recover and maintain their independence at home.</p><p>Working alongside Nurses, Therapists and other members of our multidisciplinary team, youll provide hands-on care and rehabilitation support to patients with a range of needs. This could include supporting someone with their rehabilitation programme, helping them regain confidence with everyday activities or providing short-term personal care while longer-term support arrangements are put in place.</p><p>Youll work independently on delegated activities while remaining fully supported by experienced clinical colleagues. With access to mobile technology such as tablets, youll be able to work effectively while out in the community and maintain accurate and timely patient records.</p><p>This is a varied and rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering compassionate, person-centred care and helping people achieve the best possible outcomes within their own homes.</p><p>The service operates across seven d

The Integrated Community Paediatric Service (ICPS) is looking for enthusiastic, flexible and motivated Healthcare Support Worker's (HCSW) to support the Children's Care Package Service. Candidates must have excellent communication skills and demonstrate empathetic sensitive and compassionate approach to all children, young people families and carers.
The Care Package Service supports children and young people with complex health needs and their families across all community settings- home, school and social activities. There may be times when this support is also required within the hospital or hospice setting. Care is delivered as commissioned by the Integrated Care Boardthroughout a 24 hour period, 7 days a week.
Upon appointment, a 6 week induction period will be offered, with training and competence assessments to prepare staff for this role. Upon completion of induction period and training, HCSW's will expected to work with children and young people as part of a team as well as autonomously as a lone workers, indirectly supervised by registered nurses, following care plans and trust policies and procedures.
Main duties of the job
Work in partnership with the family, professionals and other agencies in providing holistic care for the child. Follow individualised plan of care provided by a registered children's nurse to children with complex and continuing health care needs, some of which may be life limiting.
To undertake training and competency based assessment of clinical skills to enable the delivery care to children with complex health needs including: mechanical ventilation, tracheostomy care, airway management, oxygen therapy, suctioning, gastrostomy feeding and medication administration. The development of these competencies and skills will be supported by the services training team.Administer prescribed medication working within Bolton FT medicines management policy.
Provide personal care, continence management and assistance with mobility on an individual basis, ensuring at all times infection control and safe moving and handling practices are adhered to.

Job summary
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a specialty doctor in Gynae Oncology at the Hampstead site of the Royal Free Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This post is for a 1-year fixed term.The post will include working closely with the Gynae cancer team supporting the clinics, theatre sessions, inpatient reviews, triaging new referrals, preparing and participating in the gynae oncology MDT and working with operational managers in managing the cancer PTL.
There will also be a commitment to deal with emergency gynaecology and training more junior trainees. The candidate will be required to have had some ultrasound scanning experience, the team can support further training for specific gynaecology ultrasound training for post menopausal bleeding clinics. There will be weekend working.
There is currently no obstetrics or on-call component, but this is subject to change as the requirements in the department changes.Candidates are advised contact Mr Shakir for further details. As this is a new post the job plan will be designed by Mr Shakir and Miss Heather Evans and will depend on the individual's skill set and service requirements.
