Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Respiratory Physiotherapist to join the Acute Respiratory Medicine team at the Bristol Royal Infirmary for a 0.6 WTE (22.5 hours perweek) Band 6 Physiotherapist.
The post-holder will act as an autonomous practitioner, providing Respiratory Physiotherapyassessment and treatment to complex patients including; ITU step down, trache weaning, acuteNon-Invasive Ventilation (NIV) and neuromuscular patients. They will also occasionally beexpected to cover non-respiratory areas within the Hepatology, Gastroenterology and General Medicine areas. The post holder will manage their own caseload within the acute medicalrespiratory specialty. They will be part of an interdisciplinary team working alongside Occupational Therapists, Technicians and the wider MDT. They will supervise and train Band 5 Physiotherapists (including on-call competencies), Therapy Technicians and Students as required.They will have support from the Band 7 Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapists within theteam.
Main duties of the job
The team cover a range of wards including Respiratory High Care and a number of acute medical wards. The post holder will work closely with the Band 7 Physiotherapist alongside the NIV Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner. The team works together with the Home Ventilation Service managing ventilation patients during their acute admissions.
We are looking for a Physiotherapist who is already a skilled clinician withprevious related experience in a Medical Respiratory setting as well as a broad range of other rotations. They will be naturally empathetic, demonstrating good communication skills to facilitate close working relationships with both service users and the wider MDT. They will need to be creative and flexible to meet the changing needs of the caseload and service.
They will possess excellent communication skills, demonstrate emerging leadership qualities and take an active interest in teaching and development of others.
In service training programs and staff appraisal systems are in operation to help you develop to meet the demands of the post.

We have an exciting opportunity for Sonographers to join our very friendly and dedicated multi-disciplinary team at Bristol NHS Foundation Trust.
Our busy and dynamic departments are responsible for the delivery of a wide case mix including Obstetric, General Abdominal, Gynaecology, Small Parts and Musculoskeletal examinations. Applications from Sonographers with skills in any of the above areas are welcome.

Included within the trust's hospital sites are St Michaels' Hospital, which provides obstetric care as well as being the South West's referral unit for fetal and maternal medicine, Bristol Royal Infirmary, which provides acute and emergency services, and is a Tertiary referral centre for upper GI cancer, and a regional centre for complex liver disease, and Weston General Hospital, which is a district general hospital offering ultrasound services across a broad range of specialties.
Main duties of the job
Your role will include (but will not be limited to):
- perform a wide range of ultrasound examinations.
- provide diagnostic report of examinations according to the level of authorisation agreed.
- participate in service provision across the different sites.
- Communicate and liaise with patients, clinicians and other healthcare professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Clinical Effectiveness and Compliance, the post holder will provide Trust-wide leadership for regulatory compliance, accreditation programmes, external assurance, inspection readiness and governance of regulatory action planning.

We are seeking an experienced, compassionate and inclusive leader to join our integrated Patient Experience and Voice leadership team as Head of Complaints and Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS). Reporting to the Associate Director of Patient Experience and Voice, you will hold delegated operational accountability for the Trust's Complaints and PALS services and act as the senior specialist adviser on NHS complaints handling.
This is a significant leadership role with the opportunity to ensure that concerns and complaints are managed compassionately, fairly, consistently and in line with statutory, regulatory and Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman requirements. You will champion accessible advice, timely resolution and meaningful learning, helping the Trust translate feedback into safer, more effective, inclusive and responsive care.
The successful candidate will bring substantial recent senior management experience leading Complaints and PALS services in an acute NHS provider Trust, alongside expert knowledge of NHS complaints legislation, regulation, national guidance and the PHSO NHS Complaint Standards. You will be an assured communicator with strong analytical, negotiation, mediation and conflict-resolution skills, able to work sensitively with patients, carers, families, staff, senior leaders and external partners.
Main duties of the job
- Provide visible operational leadership and accountability for safe, compassionate, accessible and effective Complaints and PALS services, including workforce, performance, resources, information quality, resilience and continuous improvement.

Job summary
We are delighted to offer a exciting opportunity for NMC registered nurses or midwives to work within the Health Visiting Service as part of our skill mix team. The role supports the delivery of integrated, evidence-informed services for children, young people and their families, with a focus on prevention, promotion, and early intervention.
This is a primarily developmental role and we provide further opportunities for your professional development within the team, including for chance to apply for the Specialist Community Public Health Nurses (SCPHN) Health Visiting programme at UWE.
Applications are welcome from experienced and newly qualified nurses and midwives or students nearing the end of their training.
Whilst posts are available across Bristol and North Somerset successful candidates will be required to be flexible to work within and across a defined locality.
We have four 12-month fixed term posts available, ranging from 22.5 hours per week to 37.5 hours per week (starting circa December 2026)
Main duties of the job
- Work in partnership with parents/carers to understand the developmental needs of their child, including the importance of the home learning environment, and early brain development, enabling all children to be ready to learn at transition to school.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, empathy, cultural sensitivity, resilience, and adaptability when working in diverse community settings. Empowering families and advocating for those who face barriers to accessing services.
- Support the implementation of the Healthy Child Programme, and specific public health programmes including Maternal Early Childhood Sustained Home-visiting (MECSH) and UNICEF BFI.
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with multi-agency partners, including early years settings and community organisations, to promote health and well-being, improving early identification of needs and risks to child outcomes.
- Use group facilitation skills at Baby Hubs and lead structured, evidence-informed groups in community venue such as Family Hubs which supports parental confidence and self-compassion
- Actively participate in supporting students of all levels through the provision of placement support, supervision, assessment, and development opportunities.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as a Custodial Flow Coordinator to provide quality healthcare to those incarcerated in prisons.
Your primary job role will be toprovide safe and effective care pathways for all offenders identified for transfer to external NHS or independent in-patient services.
You will be working alongside the prison clinical team, and will act as the link between external providers and the prison teams to ensure a co-ordinated approach to transfer planning, which results in effective and timely transfers in accordance with national time scales (e.g. 14 days for mental health transfers).

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Nurse to develop both clinically and professionally by joining our Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy (OPAT) service.

This will minimise institutionalism, reducing healthcare associated complications including infections, significantly improving the quality of life of both the patients and their carers at all stages of the care pathway.

Main duties of the job
In this role, you will work as a valued member of the maternity team, delivering the newborn screening programmes and providing postnatal care to families across the Bath Clinical area on day 5. Main duties of the job

You will need to be able to supervise and help lead the team on a day to day basis working with the assistant health records manager to ensure department processes are followed. This is a physical and fast paced job often working to tight deadlines in support of patient care, where you and the team will be handling patients' health records, negotiating their return from other departments as well as updating their location on the dedicated records tracking system.
The successful candidate will be motivated to positively impact the leadership of the team and in turn patient care by ensuring records are available when and where they are required.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the post include assisting in the day to day running of the health records team. The post holder may be required to work across site providing supervisor cover and support for each department on different days of the working week and establishing working relationships across both teams.
The work involves the movement of heavy files, therefore this would ideally suit someone who has a high level of personal fitness.
The Health Records team routine hours are 08:00 to 20:00, Monday to Sunday, with a reduced number of staff providing cover as part of the weekend and Bank Holiday rota.
The post holder will be required to work 08:30am - 16:30pm Mon - Fri.
