Job summary
If you are an enthusiastic clinical psychologist who is passionate about clinical work, high quality mental health services and supporting people who are struggling with their mental health in an inpatient setting, we would love to hear from you.
Working as the psychologist providing input to Juniper Ward (our adult acute unit) you will work as part of the ward team and provide specialist psychological assessment and therapy, group programmes, as well as consultation training and support to ward staff. You will also be responsible for supervising the ward Assistant Psychologist.
The ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams will be essential to developing your role. You will need to be well organised with the ability to prioritise your work according to clinical need and liaise effectively with team colleagues and other professionals.
The post is available as either an 8a post or as a Band 7/8a developmental post, dependent on experience. You will be supported in your role by the Head of Psychological therapies and the Divisional Inpatient Lead Psychologist.
North Somerset PTS services work across all community, acute and inpatient services within North Somerset. The service is staffed by a multidisciplinary team comprising of clinical psychologists, arts psychotherapists, family therapists, CBT therapists and psychotherapists. We are a friendly and supportive team, who are highly valued within local services.
Main duties of the job
- To provide highly specialist psychological assessment and therapy and group programmes service users and their families on Juniper Ward.
- To provide highly specialist advice and consultation on clients' formulation and psychological management to other non-psychologist colleagues.
- To use highly specialist psychological knowledge and skills to contribute to the more effective management of patients by the multidisciplinary team on Juniper ward.
- To clinically supervise/line manage trainee clinical psychologists, assistant psychologists, Clinical Associate Psychologists (CAPs) and less experienced psychology staff, and other professionals.
- To contribute to audit, research, policy and service development
- To develop and deliver training in psychological therapies for multidisciplinary staff.

- To formulate and implement plans for the formal psychological treatment and/or management of clients mental health problems, based upon an appropriate conceptual framework of the clients problems, and employing methods based upon evidence of efficacy, across the full range of care settings.
- To be responsible for providing a range of psychological interventions for individuals, carers and groups, within and across teams employed individually and in synthesis, adjusting and refining psychological formulations drawing upon different explanatory models and maintaining a number of provisional hypotheses.
- To provide at least one specialist evidence based psychological intervention as dictated by the needs of the service.
- To provide highly specialist consultation to members of the multidisciplinary team and beyond regarding formulation and psychological management of service users on Juniper Ward.
- To be involved in the development and delivery of training to multidisciplinary staff on Juniper and other wards in North Somerset.
- To use highly specialist psychological knowledge and skills to contribute to the more effective management of patients by teams.
- To participate in clinical and caseload supervision arrangements provided by the Service.
- To maintain accurate records and to monitor clinical workload using agreed systems.

MANAGEMENT

PROFESSIONAL
- To fully adhere to the Policies and Procedures of the HCP. To fully observe the BPS (1996) Code of Conduct and the DCP Guidelines for the Professional Practice of Clinical Psychology (1995).
- To be aware of, adhere to, and where appropriate, contribute to the formulation and review of Trust, Area, Clinical Psychology policies and procedures.
- To participate in local psychological therapy and psychology meetings and trust wide meetings as appropriate.
- To maintain and develop high standards of clinical psychology practice by engaging in continuing professional development and co-operative working/networking with other clinical psychologists.
- To participate in an annual performance appraisal.
- To participate in clinical supervision.
SERVICE GOVERNANCE
- To participate in service governance processes in the profession and in the LDU to maintain a safe, effective service which responds to Service User feedback.
- To support and participate in multidisciplinary clinical audit.
- To liaise with other disciplines and agencies to ensure that best practice is shared.
- To promote the use of effective interventions in the service.
- To provide supervision for clinical psychology trainees from regional training courses and Clinical Associate Psychologists (CAPs) and elsewhere as appropriate.
- To provide training, supervision and consultation in psychological approaches to other staff in multidisciplinary teams. This is to include joint assessment, formulation of psychological problems and planning of interventions to be implemented by other team members with service users.
- To contribute to the development of a psychologically based framework of understanding and care across service settings through providing teaching, training, consultation and supervision.
- To provide training and supervision to assistant psychologists.
- To participate in peer supervision arrangements for psychologists in the area.
- To collaborate with colleagues to develop and offer training courses, workshops and supervision groups to develop psychological skills for staff in the area.
- To contribute to the teaching of students and trainees in psychology, medicine, nursing and other health care disciplines.
- To agree a plan of personal development with the line manager and professional lead for the service.
- Provide inclusive, compassionate and effective leadership for your team by setting clear vision and direction.

- Seek support from the HR Team to tackle any worries regarding matters of discipline, including both conduct and capability concerns, supporting a just and restorative culture. Take prompt action regarding serious concerns and ensure clear plans are in place for problems which are less serious in nature but prove difficult to resolve.

Job summary
Quality Assurance and Testing is an important part of the delivery of digital systems within the HRA. We have a team of skilled test professionals who make sure quality is delivered in the most effective way. We are looking to add automation engineering skills to our existing team as we value automating as much of the test effort as possible allowing our team of specialists to undertake better evaluations of the overall product set.
As a Senior Test Engineer, you will create and drive the automated test engineering approach within the RSP working closely with the Head of Test and others in the Agile development team. You will determine and implement automation approaches using Playwright(typescript) to assure, measure and build quality into every phase of the software life cycle. This involves developing or enhancing automation frameworks that help deliver scalable tests which are faster, frequent, and continuous. Job also involves performing manual testing where automation is not suitable.
The interview will contain a mandatory technical test for playwright/NFT coding skills where you will be expected to write and share code in the interview. You should demonstrate your knowledge of this on your CV.

Main duties of the job
- Identify new and implement existing test automation frameworks

To provide sexually transmitted infection testing and be aware of referral policies
Develop skills of integrated sexual health assessment for both males and females including physical examination.
Following appropriate in-house training participate in the results management of sexually transmitted and reproductive tract infections
Carry out venepuncture for specific sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing
Assess clients for STI risk and advise accordingly

Job summary
The community respiratory service consists of the respiratory virtual ward, long term respiratory management, home oxygen and pulmonary rehabilitation. The team provides urgent care to people in their homes.
Within the respiratory virtual ward, the team aims to deliver holistic assessments and interventions to individuals who are at risk of hospital admission. The aim of the team is to enable people to stay at home, recover, and re-engage with the important aspects of their life and prevent admission to acute sectors.
Following assessments and intervention, if patients require further support to help keep them at home, patients will be admitted to the virtual ward. The virtual ward provides a safe alternative to hospital for patients living with long term respiratory condition through community-based acute health and care delivery
The home oxygen team is a community assessment service for predominantly respiratory adult patients who require assessment and ongoing management of their oxygen requirements in line with BTS guidelines and key standards of practise.
Pulmonary rehabilitation is a prescribed and progressive exercise and education programme designed for people with long term respiratory conditions who experience symptoms of breathlessness and helps them better understand their condition and symptoms to support effective self-management.
The team acts as an expert resource for other healthcare professionals dealing with complex respiratory patients.
Main duties of the job
A key aspect of this role is to support the Clinical Lead with Leadership and Management tasks, Clinical Expertise and Caseload as well as Quality and Governance.
As a team lead you will ensure each team member has access to a clinical supervisor and arrange time for staff to undertake Clinical Supervision, within available resources.
Delegate appropriate tasks and roles to other members of the nursing team, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to undertake them.

Actively participate in clinical audit and service improvement activity to improve patient care and patient outcomes

Lead the development of other therapists within the defined specialist area offering support, mentoring, training and specialist advice, as well as defining core competencies for staff to work towards.
Share knowledge and expertise and act as an advisor within the area of specialism across the CYPF division and with wider MDT partners and parents.
Support the overall development of community paediatric OT clinical skills and lead in the development of key clinical skills in a defined area of clinical specialism with clinicians, assistants and students. This will include the use of mentoring, training and informing the appraisal process ensuring staff members have the competencies required to carry out their role safely and effectively.

Please note this role is currently only being advertised to staff members who are currently working within the Kent and Medway ICS
The Trust is looking for a clinical commercial specialist to work as a conduit between procurement and theatres. The key responsibility of the role will be to identify and manage the delivery of financial savings and efficiencies within clinical areas. This will include product trails and switches, key supplier relationship management, and commercial contract management. The successful candidate will have expeience of working within both a commercial and clinical environment with stronmg knowledge of a lareg range of clinical products. Ideally the commercial environment will have been within the healthcare sector and the clinical expeinece will have been gained in the theatres setting.
Main duties of the job
- develop and deliver the procurement savings strategy in theatres (target of £500,000 per annum)
- Facilitate trials of alternate products
- negotiate favourable contractual terms with suppliers
- monitor and manage supplier performance against agreed terms
- produce and present analysis on spend data to clinical leaders
- act as a conduit between procurement and theatres
- collaborate with peer organisations across Kent & Medway to drive standardisation and benefit from economies of scale.

Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of our stroke service offering support to patients /families in our acute and rehab stroke wards in beautiful South Devon, with easy access to wonderful beaches and moors.
As part of our dynamic and fast paced stroke service the post holder will manage a caseload of adults with complex acquired disorders of speech, language, and swallowing following stroke.
The post holder will function as a core member of the stroke multidisciplinary team including doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social services personnel, dietitians and discharge co-ordinators.

We screen across the region in the 11 boroughs of Bolton, Bury, East Cheshire, Heywood, Middleton & Rochdale, Manchester, Oldham, Salford, Stockport, Tameside & Glossop, Trafford and Wigan.
This role involves communicating with patients and their families/carers daily, therefore the successful applicant must be friendly, empathetic and helpful.

Job summary
The Outpatient Administration team work in collaboration with the Referral and Booking Service, Outpatient Nursing, Switchboard, Phlebotomy and the Robotic Process Automation teams. Together we form the Outpatient Clinical Service Unit. The Infectious Diseases Directorate at MFT is delighted to invite applicants for Senior Clinical Fellow (SCF) posts in the Infectious Diseases Managed Single Service based at Wythenshawe Hospital, with the potential to undertake infection related clinical activities at other Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) sites.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain a breadth of experience across the inpatient and outpatient services in Infectious Diseases. They will work closely with the senior medical team to deliver high quality care to patients referred to the team.

The post holder will supervise the work of junior colleagues and provide advice & support as necessary. - Primary medical qualification (eg. MBChB, MBBS)
- Demonstration of acquisition of the level of knowledge and skills necessary for the completion of Foundation training or equivalent training and experience
