Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Sunderland Talking Therapies to appoint a Qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner. The position is full time hours (37.5 per week) for either a qualified PWP who holds a PWP accreditation or a Trainee PWP who is nearing the end of training due to be ratified, and wants to develop their skills and experience within our team. The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities.
The successful candidate should:
- Have successfully completed an academic course of study in line with the IAPT Low Intensity National Programme and be qualified as a PWP (e.g. PG Cert Low Intensity Psychological Therapies)
- We are also interested in receiving applications from current Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners who are enrolled on a PG Cert in Low Intensity Psychological Therapies and are due to qualify. If you are a current Trainee PWP you would initially be employed at Band 4 and once marks have been ratified by your university examination board, and you have gained PWP registration this would be uplifted to a Band 5.
- Have a current registration with the BABCP or BPS, or be able to immediately apply for this once in post (PWPs will remain at band 4 until registration has been submitted and confirmed).
Main duties of the job
In this role you will:
- Undertake triage screening assessments and make onward referrals
- Provide a range of low intensity interventions e.g. guided self-help (both telephone, online consultation and face-to-face), psycho-educational courses and computerised CBT
- Have the opportunity to contribute to a number of innovative service improvement projects, champion roles and specialist interest groups
- Liaise with external agencies and services to promote Sunderland Talking Therapies
- Have the opportunity to act as a mentor to trainee PWPs
- Work closely with other PWPs to support one another and utilise skills and knowledge
- Work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team and engage in team huddles

The post-holder will be required to work Bank Holidays and weekends as part of a rota.
The base for this role will be Pilgrim Hospital in Boston, with an expectation to travel to and work at least one other site--most likely Lincoln County Hospital.
Main duties of the job
The role requires the successful candidate to work as part of a team to manage a designated workload (within a scope of practice), maintain appropriate records, accept accountability and responsibility for their own actions. The post holder will need to be able to work autonomously, with close supervision/support from a qualified team member, and as part of the wider multi-disciplinary team.
There will be opportunities to engage in service developments and training and the post holder will assist with the supporting and skill development of Occupational Therapy staff including assistants, apprentices and students.
Support the Respiratory Team and work alongside Physiotherapists and other health care professionals.
To evaluate patient's progress and use own judgement to make amendments to the treatment programme within their scope of practice.
To undertake administrative and some house-keeping duties to support the Therapy service.
To work closely with MDT with treatment and safe discharge planning in a high - pressure environment.
Assessment and treatment that includes patients with a wide variety of conditions across Respiratory within a competency framework.

The post is 22.5 hours per week and will support both the General Practice and Pharmacy and Optometry teams. The base location is Stella House, although we are open to reconsider this on successful appointment. However, attendance at Stella House on Tuesdays is required where this falls within the postholder's working pattern, with remaining hours able to be worked in line with the hybrid policy, including remote and flexible working options. The GPOD team works across the ICB, therefore there will be a requirement to travel to different locations as needed.

Main duties of the job

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic team as a Screener for the Northamptonshire Diabetic Eye Screening Programme.
Can you demonstrate the ability to work both independently and as part of a small team? Are you computer literate and do you have excellent interpersonal skills?
Previous health service knowledge is essential. You will need a technical or similar qualification and be prepared to undertake the Health Screener qualification.
You will be expected to run eye screening clinics, to include administering eye drops and taking an accurate patient history. You will also be responsible for capturing high quality digital retinal images using both fundus and OCT cameras for diabetic patients within the county of Northamptonshire.
In addition you will be responsible for your own clinics, by reminding patients of their appointments and ringing DNAs in the clinic.
The Retinal Screener will responsible for triaging and recognising diabetic abnormalities for fast track referral.
You will be required to drive between the 9 screening venues in the Northamptonshire, based in Corby, Kettering, Wellingborough, Irthlingborough, Northampton x 2, Daventry, Towcester and Brackley.
This is a countywide post and the successful candidate will be expected to work on a rota basis. The screening clinics run Monday - Friday with a minimum of one Saturday morning per month.

The Haematology Trial Unit data management team is an integral part of Haematology research team, responsible for the accurate and complete capture of detailed clinical trial research data from medical records and other sources. Main duties of the job
This post will involve an independent caseload.
The post holder will be practising as a retina specialist practitioner within Ophthalmology, providing patient-centred and evidence-based clinical care, within an agreed scope of competence and practice. The role will encompass the skills of history taking, slit lamp examination, image acquisition and/or interpretation, diagnosis and treatment of intra-vitreal injections. As a specialised practitioner, the post holder will collaborate with patients, carers and colleagues and assist with future service demands planning. Suitable candidates will be considered who may require additional training to meet the requirements of the role, in which case the post will commence at a band 6 and progress to a band 7 once all training is completed.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced speech and language therapist to work within our All Age Forensic Community Service. The post holder will work in our Forensic Child and Adolescent Service. This newly established role will be pivotal in establishing a high-quality speech and language therapy pathway offer, providing specialist assessments and interventions to patients currently receiving care in FCAMHS. The role will also involve providing day to day support and clinical leadership to SALT staff working within service.
You will have experience of working with individuals with a range of mental health conditions and either experience of, or transferrable skills to work with individuals with identified learning and communication needs. You will have the ability and motivation to develop and shape the direction of the speech and language provision, ensuring it is evidence based and meets the individuals needs. You would work as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside partner agencies to keep people well and safe, promoting the communication and independence of our service users. You will inform risk assessment and management in the community alongside partner organisations. You will also be confident in upskilling staff in the understanding and delivery of communication strategies to ensure that the service is inclusive and accessible to all individuals.
Main duties of the job
The post holder would provide a highly specialist speech and language therapy service, using expert skills to assess, advise and provide appropriate intervention to ensure individuals holistic health needs are met, informing risk assessment and management and promoting quality of life.
The post holder will be required to liaise effectively with all relevant professionals, carers and family members to ensure the needs of the individual are met.
We are looking for a flexible, confident, enthusiastic and proactive speech and language therapist with established or developing leadership skills. Effective communication, organisational and IT skills are essential.
The successful candidate will be passionate for improving the lives of vulnerable children and have a strong understanding of local and national drivers and legal frameworks relating to FCAMHS.
You will provide supervision to the speech and language staff.
You will provide training and development in line with the speech and language pathway and inform service development.

Responsible for overseeing compliant administration and operation of a range of BEMS, monitoring performance, advising on proposed installations and upgrades, ensure quality commissioning of BMS controls, and investigating anomalies and faults
Responsible for inspecting commissioned BEMS systems and recommending courses of action where faults or anomalies are identified
Lead role with design and commissioning teams and ensure that projects comply with agreed metering and controls specifications
Responsible for the compliant administration of the BEMS, to ensure up to date licensing and updates (including software, security updates, and user access to the BEMS)
Work closely with inhouse engineering and maintenance colleagues and external service providers to manage lifecycle planning, replacement and upgrades of the BEMS
Support the Energy Team in development and delivery of energy efficiency improvements, asset management, digitisation, and compliance with statutory energy and carbon obligations as required, in line with the Groups sustainability commitments, and work closely with the team to analyse performance of the Groups Energy Centres and onsite power and heat generation, and support with recommendations for optimising energy centre operations.

Ensure the Building Energy Management Systems are optimised and aligned to the departmental operational times a temperatures.
Use the BEMS and energy management software to routinely analyse performance of energy plant and equipment.

Assist with provision of technical information and insight to support development and implementation of the Groups decarbonisation strategy, agreed KPIs, and other management team requests.

Manage BMS updates including license, software and security updates, working with Estates & Facilities Colleagues, PFI Partners & FM Service Providers and IT as required.
Manage security access for the BMS, i.e. maintaining up to date user access, purging obsolete profiles, ensuring security updates where required.

In collaboration with other Estates & Facilities colleagues, develop a system for appropriate alarm schedules and responses.
