Provide and deliver a high standard of compassionate nursing care recognising and meeting the specific needs of the patients Following training and assessment, competently undertake clinical activities relevant to the post and clinical area as agreed Acknowledge any limitations of competence in accepting care activities outside agreed limitations and inform a registered practitioner Assist in planning, implementation and evaluation of individual programmes of care for patients Document interventions performed and care delivered, ensuring that record is countersigned by a registered practitioner where appropriate. The conditions managed in our service include colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, conditions of the anus such as piles and haemorrhoids, and problems with continence.
We have developed expertise and become a centre of excellence for treating advanced and recurrent colorectal cancer, performing minimally invasive and robotic surgery, conducting complex pelvic floor surgery, and engaging in academic research. Our research is linked to regional bodies like the Yorkshire Cancer Research Network and national organizations such as the NIHR HTC- Colorectal Therapy

Job summary
The Luton and Dunstable Hospital is looking to recruit a Trainee Frailty Advanced Clinical Practitioner into their frailty service on a 9 month secondment to cover maternity leave. This role would be an opportunity for an individual who is already on the Advanced Clinical Practice MSc Pathway but is looking for an opportunity to gain clinical experience and supervision on acute frailty to further their clinical skills and experience.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a team who provide expertise in frailty as required by the Same Day Emergency Care programme for the acute setting of A&E and the assessment areas of the Trust.
Successful candidates for the post must meet the academic entry requirements set by the University for the master's programme (already have a degree), be flexible, innovative, highly motivated and above all be committed to improving the care and assessment of frail older people within the Trust.
This post will develop to a Band 8a upon completion of a Masters in Advanced Clinical Practice, and completion of an Independent Non-Medical Prescribing qualification, incorporating the competence of autonomous decision making.

Main duties of the job
Deliver and participate in the clinical care of patients recognised as frail, working within Gold Standards, and performing a Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment.
Priorities health needs and intervenes appropriately.
To be professionally and legally accountable for all work undertaken to practice at an advanced level of professional autonomy and accountability that is within Trust policies and the Nursing and Midwifery Code of Conduct (2008) or Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Provide a level of advanced and comprehensive health assessment based on a specialist body of knowledge.
To appropriately assess, examine, investigate, diagnose, and treat patients, resulting in the safe management and appropriate referral or discharge of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed presentations.
Ensure patients are informed and consent is gained prior to treatment, investigation, and management as appropriate. When patients are recognised as being incapacitated to make decisions about their own health needs, to be able to make decisions in the patient's best interest to enhance their care and well-being.

Job summary
The Clinical Lead provides clinical leadership across I:HUB, ensuring safe, effective and high-quality patient care whilst supporting service development, innovation and transformation within a changing commissioning environment.
Main duties of the job
Working in close partnership with the Operations Manager, the postholder will lead clinical governance, workforce development and service improvement activities and will act as the CQC Registered Manager for the service.
The service is delivered through a multidisciplinary workforce comprised predominantly of sessional clinicians. The Clinical Lead will be responsible for fostering a consistent clinical culture, maintaining high standards of practice, and promoting engagement across a workforce that operates outside traditional line-management arrangements.
In addition to the I:HUB responsibilities, one protected session each week will be allocated to IGPF-wide clinical quality responsibilities. Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust are looking for newly qualified, quality focused and patient centred Operating Department Practitioners (awaiting pin registration), to join our Elective theatre team in main theatres, to support with our vision of high quality surgical care and interventions.
You will be expected to work alongside and communicate with all members of the multidisciplinary team and actively contribute to assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care. You will work as a member of our theatre teams on circulating scrub and/or anaesthetic duties and opportunities will be provided to gain experience and further training in both these areas as your registration supports.

The successful applicants will be covering elective activity, working Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 18:00, and will also be expected to contribute to on-call commitments.
Main duties of the job
As a Theatre Practitioner you will work alongside the Anaesthetist or Surgeon, to provide first class, patient centred anaesthetic or surgical care. You will at all times work in accordance with the 'Codes of Professional Conduct' (HCPC) and ensure at all times your practices reach the required professional standard.
Provide the correct surgical instruments and materials to the surgeon and be responsible for all surgical instruments, equipment and swabs during the operation.
Act as a link between the surgical team and other parts of the theatre and hospital anticipating the requirements of the surgical team and responding effectively to ensure that all required instrumentation and equipment are available at the appropriate time.
As a newly registered practitioner you will be a responsible and compassionate patient advocate and act in their best interest at all times.

Job summary
The primary purpose of this role will be to support the Consultant Psychologist to provide line management and clinical supervision to the team of psychologists, therapists and psychiatry and psychology trainees. The team of clinicians provide high quality, specialist clinical psychology services to people experiencing gambling harm with complex presentations. The post holder will participate in the development of a high quality, responsive and accessible service, delivering valued outcomes for clients and their families and carers. This includes the development of new and/or specialist psychological interventions for people experiencing gambling harm and additional needs which may require multiagency and indirect work. This role will support the development of a brand-new treatment service, using a digital psychotherapeutic informed approach to treat people who experience problem gambling.
The service will operate from 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. However, an out of hours clinic is planned in the future (one evening a week until 8pm). Therefore, the postholder will be expected to work outside of normal working hours as part of their role. Treatment options offered to patients would include treatment workshops, evidence-based psychological therapy (short and long term) and pharmacotherapy.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder is a member of the multi-professional team. As a senior clinician, with substantial clinical experience and post-qualification training, the post-holder will provide a high level of expertise within the Southern Gambling Service.
Working with the senior management team, clinical staff and peer support staff, to take a supporting role in the creation, development, containment and support of a multi-professional therapeutic environment and trauma-informed approach which can provide the highest quality psychologically informed care for adults experiencing harmful gambling and associated mental health problems.

Job summary
Problem gambling defined as endorsing at least some diagnostic criteria for gambling disorder, and having functional impairment is common, and associated with untoward outcomes including other mental health conditions, unemployment, and relationship breakups. At present, there are draft NICE guidelines open for consultation. Through secured NHS funding, we are establishing an exciting new regional treatment service for people with problem gambling. The service started to accept referrals from September 2022, initially covering the geographical area of Southampton for referrals, but then expanding with a view to providing coverage across the Southeast region as the service develops and expands.
The service will operate from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. However, an out of hours clinic is planned in the future one evening a week until 8pm. Postholder will be required and supported to complete required training in relation to gambling, this will be fully provided.
To provide high quality specialised psychological input to patients of the Southern Gambling Service.
To provide specialist psychological assessment and treatment to patients in these settings. Work will also involve working with other people involved in patients' care e.g. family or named carers. A recovery focused approach is essential.
To offer advice, consultation and supervision on patients' psychological care to other members of the multi-disciplinary team. Emphasis here is on having an understanding/appreciation of the complex nature of the acute mental health care system and to develop insight and understanding to all others involved in patient's care.
To participate in the delivery of therapy by attending consult, facilitating skills groups, providing individual therapy and coaching.
To utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development, and research in line with service need; to contribute to a research culture in the clinical team.
To record patient outcomes via approved automated digital frameworks.

Job summary
We are excited to offer the trainee post at the University of Exeter, studying towards a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychological Therapies Practice (CYP CBT Practitioner). This is a British Association of Behavioral and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) level two accredited course where practitioners will gain skills and knowledge in delivering evidence-based CBT for children and young people for the treatment of depression and anxiety.
As a Trainee High Intensity CBT Therapist, you will work with a diverse team offering both clinical and non-clinical support to children, young people, and their families across Swindon.
You will deliver high quality focused, evidence-based interventions for children and young people under expert supervision and as part of a dynamic and multidisciplinary mental health team.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will assess and, under supervision, deliver evidence-based, outcome-focused interventions to children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties, working collaboratively with them and their families to develop appropriate intervention plans and agreed outcomes. The role will involve completing assessments, managing risk and safeguarding concerns, providing evidence-based psychological support including guided self-help, managing an agreed caseload and maintaining accurate clinical records and outcome data. Job summary
To work with patients included in the Southern Gambling Service scope, providing psychological assessments and therapy. This will include working with functional and mental health and organic presentations including neuropsychological assessment. This includes work with carers and families and collaboration with appropriate community services and voluntary sector organisations.
Main duties of the job
To work as an autonomous, independent practitioner responsible for own work and intervention and for the interpretation of agreed guidelines and policies in providing a highly specialist Psychological Therapies Service. To undertake complex assessments and consultancy, providing expert advice to Psychological Therapies Services colleagues and the wider clinical multi-professional team. To provide specialist treatment for complex cases and plan and prioritise own clinical workload. To comment and propose change to policy or service development within the area psychological service and team. To provide specialist supervision for trainee psychologists and to provide psychological guidance and supervision for multi-professional clinical colleagues. To undertake research and development and develop and encourage a research culture within the wider clinical team. To utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research.
The service will operate from 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. However, an out of hours clinic is planned in the future (one evening a week until 8pm). To provide a comprehensive administration service to the clinical team. Main duties of the job

Catering service also provided on ward areas.
