Job summary
We are a small but busy department providing a wide range of non-invasive cardiac & respiratory investigations and are currently looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and hardworking person to join the team.
The successful candidate should have a positive can-do attitude and be able to thrive in a busy but often challenging environment, must have a friendly approach to dealing with our patients and visitors to the department. The post holder should be able to show a high level of professionalism whilst providing a consistently high-quality service to patients, staff and users of the Cardio-Respiratory Department.

This role is split between working within the cardio-respiratory team as a healthcare science assistant. You will play a crucial role in assisting our cardiologists, respiratory consultants and cardiac physiologists with the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. The department covers a variety of non-invasive diagnostic tests, such as electrocardiograms (ECG), Spirometry, Ambulatory Holter recordings which you will perform as part of your cardiographer role, you will also work within the echocardiography section of the department, transferring patients from the wards to the department, helping patients to undress, explaining the procedure and having general responsibility for the patient whilst within the department. A large percentage of the role will be computer based to include maintaining patient digital information via the hospitals electronic records system full training will be given for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will require:
- GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or above, ideally also have GCSE in a science subject
- Level 2/3 Healthcare Diploma or equivalent.
- Have previous healthcare experience in Cardiology, preforming ECG and fitting Ambulatory monitors would be desirable
- Excellent communication, organisational and team skills.
- Be able to demonstrate their ability to work as a team player and able to contribute to our multidisciplinary team, working closely with our Cardiology Consultants, specialist nurses and cardiology team members.

Working Pattern: We care for our patients around the clock so we will need you to work a range of shift patterns. These range from short shifts, day shifts between 8am and 8pm and 12.5-hour day and night shifts with an hour break in the ward areas. Please do check this at your interview.

The Trust is seeking to appoint part-time, fixed-term and maternity-cover locally employed ST3-level doctors to join the Emergency Department (ED) at Peterborough City Hospital.
The post is designed to provide support to the Consultant staff and to enhance the clinical supervision of junior doctors (FY2 and ST1-2's). The post holder will join middle grade rota and make a significant contribution to the service delivered to patients within ED.
The applicants should have at least 6 years post registration experience, of which 24 months will have been spent in an Emergency Medicine setting at ST3 level equivalent or higher with a commitment to a career in Emergency Medicine, demonstrated by completing parts of MRCEM/ FRCEM.
Main duties of the job
- The post holder will be part of the ST3 rota providing 24/7 on site cover within Peterborough Emergency Department.
- The post holder will work across the full range of emergency services delivering patient care.
- Initial assessment and treatment of adult & paediatric patients arriving in the department by ambulance or other means.
- To carry out manipulation of fractures and dislocations, together with other minor procedures such as suturing and regional block anaesthesia
- An integral part of in-service training for resident doctors.
- Supervision of FY2 and ST1-2 doctors. In addition we have medical students from Cambridge, ACPs and EP trainees who are provided supervision and shop floor teaching.
- Participation in the department's teaching programme and appraisal.
- Audit and administrative roles, e.g. Police Statements, Clinical Audits and service development (6hrs per week on average will be allocated for CPD, teaching and administrative work)
- Cover for colleagues during annual and study leave will be integrated in the rota.
- The post holders will work with the audit lead supervising the audit projects of the resident Doctors and will be required to conduct their own independent audits together with producing action plans as required.

Applications are invited for a Specialty Doctor in Dermatology to join our friendly and enthusiastic team of 13 Consultant colleagues serving a population of ~949,000 across South Essex and based at the purpose-built Arthur Rook Centre for Dermatology. This is a vacant post based at Basildon Hospital as part of the South Essex Dermatology Service which covers Brentwood, Basildon, Thurrock and Southend on Sea.

Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and enthusiastic Shoulder and Elbow Surgeon to join the expanding Trauma and Orthopaedic Service at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Hospital.
Main duties of the job
The post is for shoulder and elbow surgery. There will be an expectation to perform elective and trauma surgery, and provide specialist expertise in hip and knee trauma. Fracture and elective clinics are held in Tunbridge Wells, Maidstone and peripheral hospitals. Day surgery lists and inpatient elective lists occur in Maidstone, and trauma lists at Tunbridge Wells.
There is an expectation that the successful candidate will join the existing on call rota.

The postholder will be the lead People and Organisational Development (POD) project manager and will support projects across the full range of the POD function. A vacancy exists in the department for a Courier / Biomedical Sciences Support Worker to be based at our Laboratories at Morriston, Singleton and NPT Hospitals.

Main duties of the job
The Laboratory Medicine Department has its Central Laboratory at Morriston Hospital with satellite laboratories at Singleton, Princess of Wales and Neath Port Talbot Hospitals. These are busy laboratories carrying out blood tests from patients from Hospitals, clinics and GP's in the Swansea, Bridgend and Neath districts.
As a courier you will be required to transport Pathology samples and reagents throughout this Health Board. You will be collecting samples from GP surgeries and delivering them to the relevant laboratory. Laboratory transport vans/cars are provided by the department for work purposes. As a courier you will be part of a team, covering different schedules on a rotational basis. You will often be carrying out laboratory based tasks.
We are looking for a well organised person with excellent communication skills. They must beable to work to tight schedules, be part of a team but also use their own initiative where needed .
When working in the laboratory, you will be required to carry out laboratory-based support tasks to include the preparation of patient samples prior to analysis and to input patient details into the Laboratory computer system. Good keyboard skills for data entry are required.
You will be part of a seven day week rota, including evenings.
A full valid driving licence for the UK is essential.

On 1 October 2021, ELM Alliance Ltd, the local GP Federation, took responsibility for Ravenscar Surgery.Ravenscar Surgery is a small dedicated team looking after the health and wellbeing of approximately 3800 patients, with the aim to grow in both size and services provided. The practice is a member of the Redcar PCN. We are in purpose built premises at Redcar Primary Care hospital and co-located with the Urgent Treatment Centre, GP Beds and other primary and secondary care services. Main duties of the job
The Intensive Support Team (IST) work intensively with adults (18+) with learning disabilities who are experiencing significant mental health difficulties or whose behaviours pose a challenge.
The Occupational Therapist will provide high quality, comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention for specified service user group with complex needs
They will work in an interdisciplinary way to assess service user's needs, devise care plans and evaluate outcomes and to carry a caseload as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
Provide clinical advice and support for service users that present with behaviour that challenges and require support with their mental health.
Work directly with service users, carers, colleagues and other service providers.
Deliver training and education to other professionals/carers/family.

Main duties of the job
As a Senior Substance Misuse Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, prioritising patient care to develop individualised packages of care through comprehensive assessment and recovery planning
- Deliver a range of treatment options including clinical and psychosocial interventions in both a group and 1-1 setting with recovery at the centre of our healthcare wellbeing model
- Be able to carry out comprehensive assessments, initiate and review individual recovery plans and confidently communicate the full range of treatment options available to service users.
- Monitor therapeutic responses to medication and potential side effects and liaise with prescribers. You will work with individuals, on a 1-1 basis, providing advice and information
- Support in group work delivery and liaise with prescribers and Recovery Practitioners on clinical interventions. You will occasionally be required to support dispensing

- Ensure that decisions made at the drop in MDT and home round have been actioned, making and chasing ongoing referrals.

- Liaise closely with the manager to produce monthly activity reports
- Support the MDT in liaising with multiple agencies to coordinate care for patients.

New to care? We have the right role for you! We are recruiting for Nursing Assistants to join our growing team of Healthcare Support Workers right across the Trust. We have a fantastic training package designed to train you in everything you need to know about becoming a Nursing Assistant. Just bring along your caring approach, supportive attitude, great communication skills and empathetic nature and you will really thrive in our hospitals.
This role is supported under Agenda for Change Annex 20 provisions. You will start in a Band 2 Nursing Assistant role, and will be supported to undertake a 12 month competency assessment that will facilitate you moving into a Band 3 Nursing Assistant role without the requirement to undertake a further selection process.

Main duties of the job
We have a huge geographical area and have a range of hospital settings that you can work in to expand your knowledge of healthcare. We work a 24/7 rota pattern so can offer flexibility to all of our staff.
Being a Healthcare Support Worker is a wonderful role - we know this because our teams tell us all the time. You will play a vital role in the care of our patients, helping with the day to day needs of our patients through the provision of help with personal care, bathing/showering, toileting, mealtimes and supporting them with their mobility as necessary.
You will also perform observations etc and confidently update our electronic patient records accurately to ensure all the information about our patients is captured for our clinical colleagues to use. Accuracy of information and teamwork are essential parts of the role.
