Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a busy team delivering Radiology Services to people within Essex and surrounding areas. The role is varied and involves being the first point of contact for people wanting to access our services. So, an excellent interpersonal manner is essential.
We are looking for enthusiastic people to be part of the admin team providing a full range of administrative support including bookings clerk and reception duties. The post holder needs to be an excellent team player with excellent organisational skills. Experience of working within a hospital environment would be an advantage but is not essential.
The role will involve being the access point for patients into the service. The ability to maintain an accurate computer appointment system for patients is key.
You will be working alongside other administrative staff in the role. Full training and support / supervision will be provided.
The job role is 37.5 hours per week, x4 days per week., normal working hours are 8-6pm or 10am - 8pm. Some services run 7.30am - 7.30pm therefore some late working will be necessary. You will be expected to work weekends on a rostered basis. Some shifts are 12 hours in duration. The job role is based at Broomfield Hospital although working at sites including Braintree and Maldon is also necessary.

Main duties of the job
The Radiology Admin Team consists of approximately 35 - 40 staff. We are an extremely busy department, covering a variety of different reception areas, appointments office and occasionally working across sites. We are a friendly, supportive and hard-working team supporting our patients needs and clinical colleagues at all times.
Your duties include but not limited to the following
- To work as part of a team providing an efficient and effective computerised appointment system including reception duties within the Radiology Department always ensuring a high quality of servicePatients and visitors are welcomed, and their individual needs met in an appropriate and courteous manner.
- Booking appointments with patients over the telephone, as well as any cancellations and subsequent bookings using the computerised systems .
- Booking clinics from the Radiology Waiting Lists adhering to the Patient Access Plan and breach date

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of the MHRA's Beyond ADMET: AI for Medicines Safety regulatory sandbox. This strategic regulatory science initiative will explore how artificial intelligence can improve the prediction of absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion and toxicity (ADMET) outcomes and integrate clinical and real-world data to support safer, faster and more efficient medicines development, ultimately strengthening patient safety.
Reporting to the Deputy Direct of Benefit Risk Evaluation I, the postholder will provide overall leadership for the programme, including its strategic vision, scientific direction and delivery priorities. The role requires a leader who can operate at the intersection of regulatory science, artificial intelligence, medicines development and patient safety, bringing together expertise from across the MHRA, academia, industry, government and the wider healthcare ecosystem.
The Head, AI for Medicine Safety will be accountable for ensuring that programme activities are scientifically and technically robust, and aligned with the MHRA strategic objectives.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will act as the senior ambassador for the programme, building partnerships nationally and internationally, influencing emerging regulatory thinking, and helping position the MHRA as a global leader in AI-enabled regulation and patient safety science.
Initially focused on leading delivery of the Beyond ADMET: AI for Medicines Safety regulatory sandbox programme, the postholder will also contribute to the MHRA's broader strategic ambitions in AI-enabled regulatory science and innovation, with opportunities to apply their expertise across other priority areas as organisational needs evolve.
Recognising the breadth of expertise required across artificial intelligence, medicines development and safety science, the postholder will lead a multidisciplinary team including technical and regulatory specialists, and programme delivery staff, ensuring the programme benefits from complementary expertise across all domains.

We also have an Ethos Halcyon Linac delivering adaptive Radiotherapy, a Halcyon and CRAD SGRT available throughout the department. You will have the opportunity to rotate through all key areas of the department--including CT, pre-treatment checking, treatment, and brachytherapy--or, if preferred, specialise in an area aligned with your experience and interests.

The role will include participation in shift patterns and extended hours to meet service capacity and patient demand. Job summary
Our Acute Medicine team at Southend University Hospital, providing an integral role in the management of medical referrals from both the Emergency Department and direct from Primary Care, has received funding to recruit Senior Clinical fellows ST3+
Although this post is not recognised for training, we offer support in developing a Learning Portfolio and regular educational appraisal with a Consultant Educator. Multi-disciplinary team work is envisaged as a key component of the working of this Trust and will involve Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) discussion with other colleagues.
The Acute Medical Service comprises of an Acute Medical Unit with 24 assessment beds, a 7 day Same Day Emergency Care Unit (SDEC) and our Short Stay Unit. Patients are referred either by Primary Care, Community nursing teams, outpatient clinics or the Emergency Department.
You will receive, in addition to your base salary a supplement at a rate of 50% (1A) of your base salary when actively added to the full shift duty rota including late, nights and weekend working.
Main duties of the job
Your role will involve continuing responsibility for the care of patients in your charge, including all administrative duties associated with patient care, undertaking ward duties under the direction of senior colleagues, providing evidence-based care for patients in a multi-disciplinary setting and conducting suitable duties in cases of emergencies and unforeseen circumstances.
As part of a team, you will work with the Consultant Physicians and a team of junior doctors to manage ward in-patients, may be called upon to see General Medical referrals on other wards, be expected to take part in Clinical Governance Meetings and be involved in Audit within the Department and be expected to supervise junior medical staff and have continuing inpatient responsibility in conjunction with the members of junior doctors' medical team, CMTs, FY2s and FY1s.
All staff in each Directorate are managerially accountable through their Lead Clinician to the Clinical Director, who has overall responsibility for the services within the Directorate and will work in partnership with colleagues in other Directorates within the Trust.

Main duties of the job
In your role you will be expected to provide a Thoracic surgical service of the highest quality, participate in the out of hours on-call rota for thoracicsurgical emergencies, work flexibly with colleagues to achieve the hospital agreed planned activity for inpatient and outpatient services and ensure that standards are developed through clinical audit, evidence based research and appraisal.
As our Locum Consultant, you are responsible for and expected to ensure effective coordination of all post-operative and ward based clinical care in the absence of colleagues and whilst on call provide input into the discussion and management of patients from external referral sources.
You will ensure that new techniques to the CTC or those new to your practice are ethically approved and introduced after compliance with the Trusts approval and regulatory policies which may require appropriate training, with approval by the clinical service unit lead and clinical governance process with arrangements for evaluation and clinical audit.
You will participate in annual appraisal and contribute to the supervision and training of other staff members where appropriate including Theatre staff and Surgical Care Practitioners.

The Deputy Director of Midwifery and Neonates will lead the strategic direction of the Perinatal Health Clinical Service Unit (CSU) which includes maternity services and neonatal services. Join the Haematology Pharmacy Team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and become part of a specialist multidisciplinary team delivering services across inpatient, ambulatory, day unit and outpatient settings. The post holder will support pharmacy services within the Haematology Day Unit and Ambulatory Care Unit, providing specialist pharmaceutical care for patients with complex haematological conditions. They will contribute to the implementation of new therapies, service development and quality improvement initiatives. The role includes responsibilities across inpatient and outpatient haematology services, including HSCT, CAR-T therapy and ward-based clinical pharmacy services. Working closely with consultants, nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team, the post holder will deliver high-quality, patient-centred care and support ongoing service development. Suitably qualified independent prescribers may have opportunities to utilise and develop their prescribing skills within outpatient services, in line with service requirements. Main duties of the job
- Lead and develop specialist clinical pharmacy services for the Haematology Day Unit and Ambulatory Care Unit.
- Provide expert pharmaceutical care to patients with complex haematological conditions, including those receiving systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT), CAR-T therapy and haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT).
- Clinically verify and optimise high-risk medicines, ensuring their safe, effective and cost-efficient use.
- Work as a key member of the multidisciplinary team, providing specialist advice to consultants, nurses, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals.

Job summary
Successful candidates will have a clinical background with excellent knowledge and skills in musculoskeletal issues as well as an understanding of both the NHS and military culture and environment and have excellent administration skills. They will be used to managing a clinical team and overseeing clinical pathways of care. The postholder will be responsible for overseeing and final sign off of clinical plans to support veterans ongoing physical health and presenting them at a virtual MDT for agreement. They will have good problem-solving skills and be used to working in a changing environment with different patients requiring different strategies within a developing service. Whilst the postholder will not have face to face contact with veterans, this role will include liaising with GPs, hospital consultants, military charities and other stakeholders to ensure those more complex referrals are supported with a holistic overview, coordination of other stakeholders and liaison with the MOD and Personnel Recovery Units (PRUs) for personnel leaving the Armed Forces who meet the criteria of the service.
Please note this is a home-based post - the expectation is that the postholder will be based at their home with occasional travel into London or other parts of England.

Job summary
We provide a comprehensive Paediatric Audiology service including assessing babies referred from the Newborn Hearing Screening Programme, the behavioural and objective assessment of children of all ages and the habilitation of children with hearing loss. We also provide a specialist bone conduction hearing implant (BCHI) service. The Paediatric Audiology Service sits alongside Adult Audiology Services and the Newborn Hearing Screening Programme.
The department is a training centre for Scientist Training Programme through the National School of Healthcare Science. The post holder will be a Training Officer for trainees undertaking the Scientist Training Programme, providing clinical supervision, training and mentoring to junior members of staff and trainee's. It is therefore, imperative for the post holder to continue maintaining professional development.
The post holder will be expected to demonstrate a positive and caring attitude that is patient-centred and maintain a calm and organised approach when working under pressure. They will work in an environment that undergoes constant challenges, and will need to adapt to service needs within the clinical environment ensuring that all aspects of the service are developed and delivered to high standards.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right applicant to build on their existing skills to help us make a difference to the lives of children and families who experience hearing loss across North West London.
Main duties of the job
- To provide a diagnostic service for the Paediatric Audiology Department both on the hospital site and in the community, performing diagnostic Audiological assessment mainly on neonates and children. To include children with learning disabilities, challenging behaviour and additional disabilities or special needs.
- This includes carrying out ABRs in clinic, under sedation and in theatres.
- To provide aural habilitation for babies and children which includes providing counselling to distressed parents/guardians about their children's hearing loss and associated problems, and to have the ability to make decisions about the most appropriate course of treatment for the patient in their care.
- To deputise for the clinica lead in the day to day running of the Paediatric Audiology Service. To include maintenance of highest levels of health and safety.
- Be a line manager, including conducting regular 1:1s, PDRs, wellness reviews.
- To lead in the education and training requirements of the department and provide clinical supervision of trainee and assistant audiologists in Audiological techniques. To offer support to trainees studying for professional exams and existing staff.
- To carry out general duties and maintain a programme of continuing professional development working towards high levels of professional competence.
- To be involved in maintaining IQIPS accreditation process and service development.

The Clinical Haematology service based at Hammersmith Hospital offers nurses a unique and exciting opportunity to select a career pathway that will provide a wide range of malignant and non-malignant haematology experience working at the cutting edge of technological and therapeutic advancements in care. Nurses will have the opportunity to work in a leading specialist haematology centre, which runs one of the largest stem cell transplant (SCT) programmes in Europe, whilst also gaining experience in caring for patients with blood diseases such as leukaemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, sickle cell disease, aplastic anaemia, as well as, clotting disorders including haemophilia.
The haematology department operates innovative treatment pathways that include extended day care provision, day pain service, ambulatory care, apheresis and chemotherapy services, triage and assessment providing direct access to in-patient wards. Within this framework, nurses will have the opportunity to develop advanced skills in managing acute patients undergoing SCT that will include administration of stem cells, managing severe immunosuppression and neutropenic sepsis, developing essential skills in chemotherapy, symptom control and end of life care, as well as, being exposed to research and clinical trials. We embrace a collaborative and patient focused approach to care and take pride in developing and promoting a skilled nursing workforce.
Main duties of the job
- To work accordingly to the Nursing and Midwifery Code of Professional Conduct and relevant professional guidelines and as a named nurse for a defined group of patients and work within boundaries recognising personal accountability.
- Deliver and promote high quality, effective, individualised holistic patient care that is evidence-based with minimal supervision from senior staff.
- Develop specialist skills and knowledge within the field of acutehaematology/haematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT) nursing to develop competence and performance.
- Demonstrate effective communication with patients, relatives and carers that is responsive, respectful and promotes a sense of well-being.
- Maintain accurate, legible and contemporaneous patient records in accordance with Trust policy and NMC professional standards.
- Ensure changes in patient status and any other concerns are promptly escalated to relevant senior staff.
- To assume responsibility for undertaking tasks delegated by the line manager, including mentor/preceptorship, link nurse responsibilities, auditing, clinical governance and local Trust-wide/national initiatives that safeguard clinical care standards, including supporting quality regulatory/accreditation processes, e.g. Care Quality Commission (CQC), Ward Accreditation (WAP)Safety Thermometer, Commissioning for Quality and Innovation (CQUIN), Quality Accounts, NHS Litigation Authority, as well as, statutory bodies (e.g. JACIE, National Cancer Standards, Peer Review ,CHKS).

Job summary
Applications are invited from individuals who are dedicated, enthusiastic, energetic, skilled and confident in their technical abilities to apply for the post of Biomedical Scientist (Band 5) within our Clinical Microbiology Laboratory based at Leicester Royal Infirmary.
The post holder will be required to work on sites as appropriate for the delivery of the service and may be asked to work across sites within the trust. The post holder will be required to support a 24/7 service including on-call (out of hours) provision as required. Early, core, late and night shift patterns will operate which includes weekends and bank holidays.
Applicants must be HCPC registered and with relevant laboratory (UKAS ISO 15189) experience. Applicants without HCPC registration need not apply as you will not be considered for this post.

Main duties of the job
To participate in the routine work of the laboratory in accordance with laboratory procedure in an efficient, cost effective and safe manner.
- Infection Control:To maintain a clean, safe environment, ensuring adherence to the Trust's standards of cleanliness, hygiene and infection control.
- Health and Safety:To co-operate fully in adhering to the Trust policies and procedures with regard to health and safety.
- Governance:To actively participate in governance activities to ensure that the highest standards of care and business conduct.
- Equipment maintenance: Check the safety and functioning of all equipment.
- Stock Control:Maintain sufficient stocks of reagents, supplies etc. for the day-to-day operation of the laboratory. Maintain stock control records.
- Information and IT:Ensure that the Standard Operating Procedures for own work area are kept up to date and displayed appropriately. Assist in proposing, developing and implementing new procedures. Use word processing and spread sheet packages to produce draft SOPs, audit reports and laboratory data.

Job summary
Widnes Highfield Health GP Federation and WA8 Collaborate Primary Care Network (PCN) are seeking to recruit an experienced and highly motivated Clinical Pharmacist to join our well-established and friendly team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside an experienced team of practice-based Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians and wider multidisciplinary colleagues, supporting the delivery of high-quality care across Widnes.
The post will be directly employed by Widnes Highfield Health GP Federation, while working collaboratively with practices across WA8 Collaborate PCN. The successful candidate will support the delivery of the Primary Care Network DES, local prescribing priorities such as the Prescribing Initiative Scheme, and our innovative at-scale hub model clinics delivered from Highfield Hospital in Widnes.
We are committed to supporting the successful candidate's continued professional development and career progression. The role offers a salary of £53,000-£56,500 per annum, depending on experience pro rota for 30 hours per week, together with NHS Pension, a discretionary bonus and other company incentives.
This is a permanent position with the potential to develop into a more senior role with additional leadership responsibilities as our services continue to grow.
Main duties of the job
As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team committed to improving health outcomes for our local population. There will be an opportunity to contribute to the development of new services, schemes and projects across the Federation and PCN.
You will provide expert professional advice on medicines optimisation and governance, including prescribing safety, drug monitoring and Patient Group Directions. You will help resolve medication-related queries, undertake structured medication reviews and work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes and access to healthcare.
The role will also support the development and delivery of long-term condition services, including clinics for heart failure, chronic kidney disease, frailty and other areas of integrated care.
Delivering integrated care clinics, Structured Medication Reviews (SMRs), Extended Access services, frailty clinics and ADHD clinics.
Conducting and overseeing SMRs for patients with complex polypharmacy, including patients living in care homes.

- Minimum of five years' post-registration experience.
- Good understanding of the nature of general practice and the primary care environment.
- Strong understanding of primary care prescribing, rational prescribing and approaches to improving prescribing quality and safety.
- Excellent interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to plan, manage, monitor and review medicines optimisation issues, particularly in relation to long-term conditions.
- Good IT skills.
- Ability to obtain, interpret and analyse complex clinical and technical information.
- Ability to recognise clinical priorities, identify deviations from expected patterns and escalate appropriately to senior clinicians or GPs.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to influence, motivate and gain agreement for recommendations, including where there may be significant barriers to change.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider multidisciplinary team.
- Strong professional accountability and commitment to delivering high-quality clinical services.
- Ability to produce timely, clear and informative reports.
- Experience of mentoring and providing clinical supervision to peers.
- In-depth therapeutic and clinical knowledge, with a strong understanding of evidence-based healthcare.

Qualifications

- Master's degree in Pharmacy (MPharm) or equivalent.
- Completion of the CPPE Primary Care Pharmacy Education Pathway, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Independent Prescribing qualification.
- Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), including ongoing revalidation requirements.
