This is an excellent opportunity to make a tangible impact on the quality, effectiveness and responsiveness of mental health crisis care.

Deliver expert clinical consultation regarding managing crisis presentations.
Provide structured consultation and supervision to IRS staff.
Support NHS 111 clinicians with formulation, risk assessment and psychologically informed decision-making.
Develop and align psychological practice across IRS, CRHT and NHS 111 to evidence-based and best-practice standards.
Provide training, reflective practice sessions and post-incident reflections to multidisciplinary teams.
Support the delivery of trauma-informed, autism-informed and psychologically informed care.
Contribute to patient safety processes, after-action reviews and the production of reports.
Develop integrated pathways with system partners including NHS 111, primary care, crisis services and acute care pathways.
Lead and support urgent care service transformation, pathway development and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Promote a standardized approach to safety planning, clinical decision-making and risk formulation across services.
Work collaboratively across organizational and system boundaries to improve access, reduce duplication and enhance service user and carer experience.

Job summary
NSFT are delighted to be recruiting an Assistant Psychologist to work within our services across Norfolk and Suffolk, under the widening access scheme funded by NHS England. This is a part time (1.5 days per week) position, for 12 months.
This scheme for aspiring psychological professionals is part of a nationally funded programme that aims to improve equity of access to training in the psychological professions. Some psychology graduates experience a range of barriers which reduce the chances of making a successful application to undertake postgraduate training, and we are passionate about supporting local people in overcoming these barriers.
This disadvantage affects certain groups such as first-generation graduates and care leavers; those who receive additional financial aid or with caring responsibilities. It is also likely that this impacts additionally across other socio-economic groups significantly under-represented in psychology including psychology graduates from ethnic groups who may experience marginalisation within the communities which we serve. We therefore particularly welcome applications from people fromallthese backgrounds.
It is essential that candidates read the attached application guide before applying. Applicants MUST have a BPS accredited degree in Psychology to be eligible for this post - you can check this on the BPS website: BPS > Accredited Courses

The South East Postgraduate Medical and Dental Education (PGMDE) team sits within the Workforce, Training and Education (WT&E) Directorate and is responsible for the commissioning, quality management and oversight of postgraduate medical and dental training for over 10,000 doctors and dentists in training across the region.
The PGMDE function provides strategic leadership and operational oversight to ensure the delivery of high-quality postgraduate medical and dental education. This includes supporting the management, quality assurance, sustainability and continuous improvement of training programmes, enabling trainees to successfully complete their training and progress into the future healthcare workforce.
The team works collaboratively with a wide range of regional and national stakeholders, including:
- Trainee representative groups and forums- Integrated Care Systems (ICSs)- NHS provider organisations and independent sector providers- Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), Royal Colleges and Faculties- General Medical Council (GMC) and General Dental Council (GDC)- National NHS England teams and professional bodies
Main duties of the job
The Senior Business and Education Manager provides strategic and operational leadership across a portfolio of postgraduate medical and dental education activity. The postholder is responsible for leading complex programmes of work, supporting education commissioning and investment decisions, managing significant budgets and resources, and ensuring robust quality, performance and governance arrangements are in place.
Working across organisational boundaries, the role requires close collaboration with senior stakeholders to influence decision-making, manage risk, drive continuous improvement and support the delivery of workforce and education priorities across the South East region.
About us
NHS England has a wide range of statutory functions, responsibilities and regulatory powers. These are focused on supporting the wider NHS to deliver high quality care, as well as doing those things that are best done once for the whole NHS.
Our staff bring expertise across clinical, operational, commissioning, technology, data science, cyber security, software engineering, education, and commercial specialisms -- enabling us to design and deliver high-quality NHS services.
In March 2025, the Government announced that NHS England and the Department of Health and Social Care will increasingly merge functions, ultimately leading to NHS England being fully integrated into the department.
If you currently work within the NHS and if successful at interview, we will initiate an Inter Authority Transfer (IAT) via the Electronic Staff Record (ESR).This retrieves key data from your current or previous NHS employer to support onboarding, including competency status, Continuous Service Dates (CSD), and annual leave entitlement. You may opt out at any stage of the process.
Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in our offices.
Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.
We cannot offer visa sponsorship for any vacancies.
