Job summary
This role will be recruited to and involve working at Ancora Medical Practice.We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual to this 6 session salaried GP vacancy. The working days for this role will be agreed at interview.
Main duties of the job
The position is available as a 6 session post working 3 days, including CPD allowance. An excellent remuneration and holiday package will be offered, plus payment of Medical Protection Insurance fees.Informal visits and telephone enquiries are welcome.Main duties of the job In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations, triaging, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion. JOB SUMMARYThe post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.
CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES: In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make him/her-self available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations, triaging, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion. Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation. Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems. Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness. In consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols, developing care plans for health. Providing counselling and health education. Admitting or discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriate. Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards. Collecting data for audit purposes. Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions (avoiding hand-written prescriptions whenever possible). Prescribing in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate. In general the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES WITHIN THE ORGANISATION Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies and guidelines, eg prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety. A commitment to life-long learning and audit to ensure evidence-based best practice. Contributing to evaluation and audit and clinical standard setting within the organisation. Contributing to the development of computer-based patient records. Contributing to the summarising of patient records and Read-Coding patient data. Attending training and events organised by the practice or other agencies, where appropriate.

The Operations Manager will lead the day-to-day delivery of PCN services, ensuring teams are appropriately staffed, supported, and operating effectively. An exciting, temp opportunity has arisen for a part time Band 4 Support Time and Recovery Worker to work in partnership in Primary Care as part of the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS). The post sits within the Meir Primary Care Network MDT working alongside the Senior Mental Health Practitioner and GP surgery teams.

Job summary
This is a 6-month Locum post pending substantive recruitment based at the Lister Hospital in Stevenage and comprises 10 programmed activities (PAs) including an on-call commitment to the emergency endoscopy rota. The successful applicant will work closely with the existing 12 Gastroenterologists and 4 Hepatologists to provide a high standard Gastroenterology service to the Trust. This post is based at the Lister Hospital in Stevenage; however, clinics can be at any of three sites, Lister Hospital, the New QEII Hospital in Welwyn Garden City or Hertford County Hospital, Hertford.We enjoy a reputation for our commitment to the highest standards of care, but also for our friendly and supportive approach.We have a high quality endoscopic service. There is a 4 roomed state of the art endoscopy unit at the Lister Hospital site and a two roomed endoscopy unit within the New QEII Hospital at Welwyn Garden City. Both units are JAG accredited and are fully kitted with state-of-the-art equipment. The National Bowel Cancer Screening Programme was implemented in 2008. There is endoscopic sub-specialisation with ERCP, video capsule endoscopy and upper GI cancer services including provision of a regional GI Laser service based at the Lister Hospital. We have recently implemented an endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) service. We have a leading upper GI service and are one of the largest cytosponge services in the UK.
Main duties of the job
The Gastroenterology and Hepatology Department has a strong and expanding research portfolio, actively participating in multiple clinical and commercial studies, including IBD BioResource, IBD Response, Prospero and Best4. The department also leads its own commercially funded studies, such as COSIE, investigating the use of Cytosponge in the diagnosis and management of eosinophilic oesophagitis, and IBD Movement, an observational study examining activity levels and fatigue in patients with IBD in remission. Strong academic links exist with the University of Hertfordshire, where two consultants hold honorary positions. The department has also secured significant funding from the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation for the multi-site VECTOR trial, exploring the role of vibrational exercise in Crohn's disease. Research consultants regularly present at national and international meetings, supported by a dedicated Research Fellow. Registrars are actively encouraged to engage in research, with many serving as Associate Principal Investigators.
The department has recently achieved Level II Hepatology Training Accreditation, becoming only the third trust in the region to receive this status. The Hepatology team includes four consultants, specialist nurses, a dedicated registrar and a Fibroscan Technician, with established links to the Royal Free Liver Unit.

Job summary
Musculoskeletal Radiology Fellowship - August 2027 Two 12-month post-CCT fellowship positions are available from August 2027. We are looking for enthusiastic radiologists wishing to develop advanced subspecialty expertise in Musculoskeletal Radiology within a busy tertiary teaching hospital environment. The Liverpool MSK Imaging Fellowship offers broad experience across the spectrum of adult musculoskeletal radiology, with particular emphasis on developing the skills and confidence required for independent consultant practice. A particular strength of the fellowship is hands-on experience in MSK intervention. Fellows have the opportunity to develop their skills in diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound-guided procedures, image-guided biopsy and fluoroscopic intervention, alongside more advanced CT-guided procedures. One session each week is protected for research, with fellows expected to complete at least one project suitable for peer-reviewed publication during the fellowship year. Opportunities are also available to become involved in audit, quality improvement, teaching and presentation of work at national and international meetings. The fellowship is based principally across theLiverpool University Hospitals. The programme is designed to provide a supportive transition from radiology training to independent MSK consultant practice, while allowing fellows to develop particular areas of subspecialty interest during the year.
Main duties of the job
The successful fellows will work as integral members of the MSK radiology team, developing advanced skills in diagnostic and interventional musculoskeletal radiology with appropriate consultant supervision and increasing independence throughout the year. Key duties will include:
- Reporting a broad range of inpatient and outpatient MSK imaging, including complex orthopaedic, sports, rheumatological and tumour cases.
- Performing diagnostic MSK ultrasound and a range of image-guided procedures, including therapeutic injections and bone and soft tissue biopsy, with opportunities to gain experience in more advanced CT-guided and spinal interventions.

Job summary
We are looking for a dynamic and forward thinking pharmacist with experience in Neurosurgery to join our pharmacy team. You will work as part of the neurosciences pharmacy team to provide pharmacy services to The Walton Centre, a specialist Trust which provides tertiary neurology, neurosurgery, spinal and pain management services to a wide catchment area.
The Pharmacy Department in LUHFT delivers a full pharmacy service to The Walton Centre (WCFT; based on the same site). This post will be based within WCFT but work closely with colleagues within other Trusts to standardise services relating to medicines management where appropriate, and to maximise quality, safety, productivity and efficiency.
This will include a commitment to Neuro ITU, developing/updating policies, clinical guidelines, and involvement in quality improvement projects relating to medicines within the Trust.
The role includes representing supporting the WCFT at Cheshire and Mersey Area Prescribing Group subgroups when required and the North Wales Medicines Management Group, and participation in the Walton Centre Drugs and Therapeutics Committee.
You will also participate in in the well established pharmacist prescribing service for patients newly admitted on the morning of their elective neurosurgery.
Experiential learning along with experience of medicines management or governance roles, and current (or imminent) registration as a prescriber. Experiences working in a tertiary centre would be an advantage.

You should be literate and numerate, with excellent organisational, time management and IT skills and an ability to work without supervision and to tight deadlines and under pressure.

Main duties of the job
IT skills are essential including knowledge of Microsoft packages. You should have a secretarial/administrative background including dealing with the general public on a face to face basis and by telephone often around sensitive issues.

The Directorate of Women's Services comprises the clinical departments of Maternity (including obstetrics) and Gynaecology at GSTT and the academic department of Women's Health at King's College London. St Thomas's Hospital hosts the largest single site maternity service in London. The state of the art maternity unit includes a midwife led birth unit co-located to a Hospital Birth centre. A 19 bedded antenatal ward and a 38 bed postnatal ward. The Trust delivers 6000 to 7000 women annually, with a 3% homebirth rate. The birth centres are supported by the busiest maternity day assessment unit in London, an obstetric high dependency unit and an active ultrasound and Fetal medicine unit. Liaising with both internal and external users of the service, by phone and in person.
To take part in daily meetings with the bereavement supervisor to discuss daily deaths.
To assist the bereaved by answering any questions they may raise, arranging for them to speak or contact the most appropriate person or agency. To deal with bereaved persons who may have difficult family situations or circumstances.
Liaise with the Anatomy office, regarding donation of bodies left to medical science.
Liaise with the hospital chaplaincy team for spiritual support for the bereaved.
Liaise with the bereavement midwife, delivery suite and SCBU following the death of a baby.
Liaise with funeral directors or authorised persons
Ensure cultural and religious beliefs are respected and complied with at all times.
Notify General Practitioners of deaths.
To be familiar with Q-Pulse quality system and ensure all documents are read and acknowledged when reviewed and updated.
To be familiar with Eden and ensure that all communication is recorded on Eden.
To take part in the writing of condolence cards and ensure these are sent to families within 4 weeks of the death.
