Job summary
We are looking for an experienced and highly organised individual with excellent computer, administrative and communication skills to work closely with management and consultants in coordinating a robust and safe medical workforce.
The Rota Coordinator will provide administrative support for the day-to-day management of the General Surgery medical rotas, ensuring safe and appropriate staffing levels across theatre lists, clinics, ward cover and, most importantly, on-call services.
The General Surgery department currently consists of 15 F1 doctors, 20 SHO/F2 doctors and 16 Specialty Registrars (SpRs), alongside ACP cover. The General Surgery rota encompasses resident doctors working across Colorectal, Upper GI, Vascular, Transplant and Breast services. The successful candidate will therefore be responsible for coordinating a large and complex workforce across multiple specialties and service areas.
Main duties of the job
Maintain accurate and up-to-date rota systems, includingMedirota, Excel spreadsheets and E-Rostering.
- Take responsibility for maintaining accurate and comprehensive rotas for resident doctors acrossUpper GI, Colorectal, Vascular, Transplant and Breastservices.
- Processannual leave and study leave requestsin a timely manner, ensuring appropriate and safe staffing levels are maintained.
- Process and recordshift swapsthrough Medirota and Excel, ensuring all changes are accurately reflected on the relevant rotas.
- AllocateSpRs to theatre listsand ensure appropriate resident doctor cover is in place to support each theatre list.
- Advertise and coordinate vacant shifts throughLocum's Nest, ensuring appropriate on-call and other essential service cover is maintained.
- Monitor and ensurelocum timesheets are reviewed and signed offwithin the required timescales.

Job summary
This post is suitable for trainees in Paediatrics or Emergency Medicine who want further experience in emergency care delivered in a tertiary children's hospital Emergency Department setting. Applicants for the post should have at least experience in either paediatrics or emergency medicine (of which at least 6 months was within the UK).
The placement is well supervised with support from Consultants in Paediatric Emergency Medicine, general paediatricians and all the hospital specialists. At the same time, the post holder is allowed the independence of managing a wide range of common paediatric problems including running resuscitations.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for the assessment and management of all patients who present as emergencies to the department, except those who have been referred directly to the RMO or on-call specialty teams. Close liaison with the medical and surgical specialists is an important aspect of good clinical practice and the post holder is expected to maintain the established working relationships.

The Adult ADHD, Autism and Tourette's Team (AAATT Team) offers highly specialised diagnostic assessments and interventions for adults with Asperger's Syndrome, Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Tourette's Syndrome. This is a newly developed post to expand the multi-disciplinary representation within the team and support implementation of forthcoming national directives around service delivery.

We would like to invite applications for a Consultant Neurophysiologist to join our Dorset-wide Neurophysiology team. This posts will be primarily based at Poole Hospital and the successful candidate will work in partnership with our substantive consultants team running clinics across Poole and Dorset County Hospitals.
The Neurophysiology Department is part of the Networked Medicine directorate and offers a wide range of services.
Main duties of the job
The main purpose of the post is to support the provision of highest quality patient care through personal actions and continuous improvement. The Appointee will undertake clinics at Poole hospital. There may be a requirement to cover the service at other sites as the post evolves.
As part of our commitment to delivering high-quality care across seven days, this post may involve participation in an out-of-hours rota, including evenings, weekends, and/or bank holidays, in accordance with service needs. Any work undertaken outside standard hours/PA's will attract remuneration in line with the respective NHS Medical and Dental Terms and Conditions of Service.

Are you an experienced GP or newly qualified GP with a special interest in helping community patients living with frailty?
If so, a rare and exciting opportunity has arisen to join us in our Integrated Neighbourhood Team working with colleagues from community services, GP Practice Clinical Leads, Frailty Matron, Occupational Therapist, Frailty Nurses, Care Co-ordinators, and Pharmacy Technician creating a Multidisciplinary Team Service to manage Frailty in our community, supportings patients in their own homes or in residential care settings.
We are accepting applications from GPs with an interest in frailty and complex patient management, to support patients to remain at home avoiding hospital admission or facilitating earlier discharge from hospital, where clinically appropriate. The model has a strong focus on integration, with partnership working alongside Cornwall Council, Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust, UHP (Plymouth) and CPFT alongside other local charitable and voluntary sector providers.
This role will be working within a multi disciplinary team with options around start and finish times which could include a school hours contract. Ideally covering 5 to 6 sessions per week. We are open to discuss variation of these hours.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide evidence based, comprehensive, person centred and individualised medical care for older people, including completion of a Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment where clinically indicated, and working as part of a multidisciplinary team, as part of holistic community patient clinical pathway management.
The role whilst demanding and challenging will require the post holder to possess the specialist frailty knowledge required to support the medical management of complex and challenging presentations of older frail people and will prove extremely varied and rewarding to the post holder. The post holder will also be able to contribute to service development, local clinical protocols and pathway development and implementation for older people living with frailty, engage in research opportunities, audit and quality improvement initiatives, and clinical staff competency development.

We are a well formed Integrated Neighbourhood Team covering the 3 Harbours and Bosvena geographical footprint in mid-Cornwall, we are looking to enhance our team to support frail patients to achieve better outcomes.
Our supporting GP practices are: Bosvena Health (Bodmin), Lostwithiel Medical Practice, Middleway Surgery and Fowey River Practice and the population covered is 43,500 patients.
Our frailty team including care-coordination, pharmacy technician, nurse consultant, occupation therapist and frailty nurses, working closely with our Community Provider and VCSE colleagues, are working closely to support this work.
This post will build on a team working in an MDT approach which will include liaising with our local Geriatrician through bi-monthly MDT reviews and other related consultants to maximise care and efficiency for our patients.

We are currently advertising for a highly motivated Consultant Gynaecologists to join our St Mary's Managed Clinical Services team who can help support in the future developments of our services (previous experience at consultant level is desirable but not essential) with great care having been undertaken to ensure that there is appropriate access to professional development opportunities.
The post offers the successful applicants the opportunity to enhance their skills further by undertaking practises across all 5 areas of the St Mary's Hospital Managed Clinical Services.
Successful applicants will join the Gynaecology on call rota which provides care at Oxford Road Campus, North Manchester General Hospital and Wythenshawe sites along with delivering elective outpatient/inpatient and Emergency care for our patients.
St Mary's Hospital is a centre of excellence and always strives to look at ways to further improve and transform the way we deliver care to our patients.
Given recent developments and the exciting new role out of the Da Vinci Robotic system within Gynaecology, robotic surgery here at St Mary's Hospital is soon to become embedded. Along with further exciting developments such as dedicated elective operating at the Trafford Elective Hub and the implementation of the Tier 2 service, there isn't a better time to consider joining the team!
Main duties of the job
A representative job plan to follow, subject to confirmation of weekly timetables. St Mary's Managed Clinical Services Gynaecology Consultant job plans run on a 4-week cycle. All job plans will be 10 programmed activities (PAs) initially, including 1.5 essential supporting PAs. Successful applicants will also be encouraged to contribute to additional roles within the service (e.g., educational supervisor, lead roles, governance responsibilities), based on appointment within the Division.

Main duties of the job
Each day will bring a new duty and test your knowledge. You will undertake robust estates maintenance and repair works on hospital equipment which will include installation of electrical, mechanical, carpentry, landscaping and constructive service and hardware. You will have the basic skills that the properties are maintained in accordance with the service level agreements and to the appropriate quality and standards expected.
You will use your knowledge and experience to prioritise your workload to affect change within the hospital to build a safe environment for clients, visitors, and staff. The multi skilled demands of the role will include carrying out planned preventative maintenance, and reactive maintenance and repair of mechanical systems as well as being trained on new systems.
You will ensure the safe and responsible use and manual handling of equipment, whilst working in potentially hazardous environments (switch/plant rooms and workshop) and/or environmental conditions (confined spaces, heat, cold, wet, and dirty) observing H&S and Codes of Practice

Job summary
Are you an outstanding Junior Doctor looking for new challenges, career development and a competitive salary?
As Resident Medical Officer, youll play a crucial role providing on call cover for Cygnet Churchill. This is an inpatient mental health hospital for men. Cygnet Churchill has four wards including two emergency acute admissions services (Juniper Court and Palm Court) as well as bespoke care packages on Elm Court.
The RMO is the doctor onsite covering on calls between 5pm and 9am and weekend shifts. Generally the RMO will work on a rota of 4 days on / 3 days off.
Main duties of the job
- Assess all patients on admission by completing a thorough history and examination including physical examination.
- Ensure physical health and mental health care of patients are being met with reviews with the nursing staff whilst on call.
- Carry out physical examinations including ECGs & Bloods
- Conduct risk assessments and mental health assessments for patients
- Liaise with the Consultant Psychiatrists on call when necessary for advice.
- Prescribe and review medication with the support of the Consultant Psychiatrist on call when required.
- Be supervised by the Consultant Psychiatrist weekly to ensure training needs analysis and personal development plan.
- Ensure the Responsible Clinician is kept updated in a timely manner regarding all clinical matters arising whilst on call by submitting appropriate handovers.
- Liaise with all members of the MDT, GPs, relatives and other professional agencies as needed.

We are looking to appoint to a whole-time Consultant Neurosurgeon with an interest in Paediatric Neurosurgery & Adult Epilepsy to the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, based at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield, with clinical sessions at the Sheffield Children's Hospital. This is a substantive post for which 10 PA's are available.
This post would provide consultant psychiatric input to the team for the 10 PAs (6 PA's GMAIC, 4 PA's Crisis service) across the week. Out of hours, the consultant input comes from the medical on call rota. The post holder will join a dynamic and supportive Directorate and CAMHS Consultant peer group.
This is a new post, and the successful candidate will develop the role with the acute care team and liaise with the community CAMHS and inpatient services collaboratively.
Main duties of the job
Role Summary:
The consultant psychiatrist will provide medical oversight within which they will provide clinical consultation to the Crisis team and GMAIC for assessment, management and treatment of the young people who present with mental health disorder.
They will join the team and contribute to face to face assessments for complex, uncertain and significant risk presentations including YP requiring assessment under the framework of the mental health act and inform clinical judgments on appropriateness and suitability for admission to inpatient services. Where this not deemed to be clinically required or appropriate, they will provide guidance and make alternate recommendations including on the use of crisis services and offer follow up.
They will provide supervision to NMP within Crisis and GMAIC service.
The role will encompass collective working and strengthened relationships with community CAMHS and inpatients in Pennine and CAMHS services across Greater Manchester.
They will collectively work with adult mental services for transition of YP reaching 18 and require ongoing care.
They will liaise with Inpatient services, attend escalation meetings and provide second opinion to neighboring GMAIC teams when required.
A pivotal role is the need for excellent communication and liaison with key professionals providing an interface between community and inpatient services.

The Kent Interventional Radiology Centre, a purpose-built unit at the Kent and Canterbury site, fitted with the latest Siemens Artis Pheno angiography system with robotic assistance, full anaesthetic facilities and a dedicated 6-bedded Day Case Unit opened in May 2022. The unit supports the regional reconfiguration of Vascular services.It runs alongside a hybrid Endovascular Theatre which has been fully refurbished and updated with a Siemens Artis system. The Trust plans to open a third imaging suite, fitted with a Siemens Icono unit, by June 2024 in order to support the delivery of the regional Stroke Thrombectomy service.
The Radiology department is a large and successful department with 5 CT scanners and 5 MRI scanners with mobile MRI and CT increasing capacity further. The Trust has recently introduced two SPECT/CT units in Nuclear Medicine.

This post is for an Interventional Radiologist with specialised training in Vascular and Non-Vascular Radiology, including EVAR and peripheral intervention. There is a thriving practice in non-oncological embolotherapy including uterine artery embolization, prostate artery embolization, varicocele embolization and treatment of pelvic congestion. There is an ongoing consultation process for the centre to become the hub for a Kent wide Vascular network which would bring many opportunities to develop special clinical and research interests.

The Consultant will have a continuing responsibility for the care of patients in their charge and to undertake the administrative duties associated with their care. They will be expected to co-operate with the Clinical Director and Care Group Management on organisational and budget issues.
In addition to inpatient and outpatient duties there are flexible commitments, including administration, management, committee work, relative interviews etc.
About us
The successful applicants will be joining a team of 10 Consultant Neurologists, 2 Consultant Neurophysiologists and a Rehabilitation Consultant.
There are close links with the King's College Hospital Regional Neuroscience Centre at Denmark Hill in London. The Consultants will be expected to develop specialist interests, and to make contributions to service development, research and teaching.
Applicants with postgraduate degrees, significant experience or specialist interest in movement or peripheral nerve disorders, motor neurone disease or epilepsy would be particularly welcome.
