This post is for a substantive Consultant Radiologist with a Sub-speciality Interest in Musculoskeletal Imaging. This post offers an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Doctor to join a dynamic, rapidly expanding team delivering multidisciplinary acute care in Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals.

The post will be based at Southport and Ormskirk site with option to work across other sites. This is supporting the existing MSK radiologists and the expanding workload. There will be an element of general Radiology workload to support the service.

Applicants will be required to have qualifications i.e MBBS/ MBCHB and FRCR(UK or equivalent.) They will be required to hold Membership of the Royal College ofRCR(UK or equivalent qualifications), to be on the specialist register with the General Medical Councilor due to obtain their CCT within six months of the date of interview.

Overseas trained applicants have to have had a submitted CESR application to be eligible

Main duties of the job

To maintain the expanding workload of the department including supporting the extensive department input into MDT meetings, to meet waiting list targets and to enable the introduction of extended working.

There is currently no on call commitment for this post.

The department receives 3-5 Radiology SpRs from the Northwest School of Radiology Training Scheme. All consultants are involved in supervision and training of trainees both on site.

The degree of subspecialty work to general is flexible depending on the individual's experience. The appointee would be expected to cover for colleagues around study and sick leave and a degree of flexibility within the job plan is expected.

The consultant will be expected to participate in Audit as part of the annual appraisal process. Participation in research activities is actively encouraged and supported. The hospital has a defined programme of medical audit which has recently been restructured. Members of the Department of Radiology are active in the management and promotion of the Trust's clinical Governance Strategy.

We are seeking a Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

CAMHS is part of the Specialist Services Strategic Business Unit in HPFT, managed by the Clinical Director (Dr Shaheen Shora - Fiona McMillian-Shields -non-medical).

CAMHS is managed by a Senior Service Line Leader, Gill Bienveniste supported by Professional Leads and CAMHS Community Managers.

The clinics accept referrals from a number of sources including General Practitioners, SocialWorkers, Health Visitors and Consultant Paediatricians.

Referrals are processed through SPA (the Single Point of Access). The teams are multi-disciplinary including Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Mental Health Nurses, Child Psychotherapists, Systemic Therapists and Social Workers.

These teams work on an outpatient model and currently receive approximately 250 referrals per month across Hertfordshire.

Forest House is a specialist psychiatric inpatient unit providing care to children and young people 13 to 18.

The unit admits children through a planned process of assessment, family consultation and liaison with the local CAMHS Tier 3 team.

The Unit has recently been refurbished and extended to 16 beds to include acute admissions and it is an in-patient adolescent unit for East of England NHS.

There is also a provision for eating disorder admissions under the supervision of a dedicated Eating Disorder Service.
