We are recruiting for an enthusiastic Administration and Clerical Officer for our Breast Screening Unitwho wishes to join #TeamIOWNHS. You should share our passion and drive to ensure that our patients and staff receive quality and compassionate care.
Thenew CDC centre has the ability to deliver joined up diagnostic care, and with increased capacity this will ensure our patients will have faster access to treatment, earlier diagnosis, and improved outcomes.
By becoming part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in innovative ways and play a central role in how we improve patient pathways, delivering the right test, at the right time, in the right place.
We are looking for a highly motivated individuals to provide comprehensive clerical support to the breast screening unit using a high level of initiative and discretion.
Excellent communication skills are vital as the post-holders will be required to liaise directly with patients, consultants and other hospital/external colleagues face-to-face, on the telephone and in writing.
Main duties of the job
The role involves being able to process all telephone enquiries from GPs and departments within this hospital for Radiology appointments and availability of examination reports.
The successful candidate will deal with patient and general enquiries, both in person and on the telephone, keeping relevant records.
You will be required to enter request forms onto the CRIS system and cover the reception desk, booking in patients and dealing with enquiries and opening and distributing the post for the department.
This role requires a willingness to work as part of a team as well as the ability to work unsupervised.
The ability to work under pressure, pay attention to detail and have excellent organisational skills are also necessary to manage the pressures of a very busy role.

Main duties of the job
As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for providing effective care, with an approach based on recovery and rehabilitation, to Service Personnel (SP) and entitled civilians, with timely access to skilled and effective assessment, treatment and occupational recommendations that meets the needs of the individual and the Chain of Command (CoC).
The team expects to receive on average 10 new referrals a week and will see urgent cases by the next working day and routine cases within 15 working days. The consultant psychiatrist is expected to carry a compact caseload of the most complex and unstable cases but will also be available at short notice to provide consultation and advice to other team members. It must be stressed that the caseload contains far lower levels of morbidity and risk than a National Health Service (NHS) general adult population and there is not a high emergency burden.

Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join our friendly team of 6 Orthoptists, 2 Orthoptic assistants, 3 Optometrists and 2 Paediatric Consultant Ophthalmologists, working across two main sites at Singleton Hospital and Neath Port Talbot Hospital.
The caseload is diverse including core orthoptic, one stop refraction, adult ocular motility and paediatric clinics. There is support and encouragement for advanced/extended roles. Advanced roles currently include specialising in stroke, traumatic brain injury and visual function clinics. Our Orthoptist are also actively involved within the medical retina, glaucoma and botulinum clinics.
We are passionate about teaching, providing education and training for undergraduate orthoptists, medical and nursing students.
We provide regular CPD sessions through monthly Ophthalmology audits, regular team meetings and journal clubs, with scope for funding for external courses.
This is a Band 6 post but newly qualified Orthoptists are welcome to apply and will be supported by the BIOS preceptorship programme.
Main duties of the job
Duties will include using a wide range of orthoptic skills in order to assess, diagnose and manage a variety of both paediatric and adult ocular motility conditions. You must be able to work as part of a team and show enthusiasm. You will have support and supervision but will be expected to work autonomously. Flexibility to adapt to different situations and work under pressure is necessary.
You will be based at the Orthoptic Department, Singleton Hospital, Swansea, but may be required to work at other Orthoptic units within the Health Board so ability to travel is desirable but not essential.
Applicants must hold a degree/diploma in Orthoptics and state registration with the HCPC. Previous experience is not essential as supervision and mentorship will be given.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking to recruit a Locum Consultant in Palliative Medicine on a 6 month post, expected to start in October/November. Successful candidates will join the Palliative Medicine team that consists of three consultants.
Candidates should be fully registered with the GMC and MRCP or equivalent is essential. The post-holder will provide a Palliative Medicine advisory service to the clinical teams within Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.
As a Trust we have been actively involved in developing the training program for students from the Three Counties Medical School based in Worcester which opened in September 2023. We also have a long-established role in training medical students from the University of Birmingham and undergraduates from the University of Warwick.

Main duties of the job
The Department of Palliative Care provides an advisory specialist palliative care service for hospital patients at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Trust. The Hospital Palliative Care Team are based at Worcestershire Royal Hospital (WRH) and the Alexandra Hospital, Redditch, with close working with the other Consultants in Palliative Medicine based at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust (WHAT).
A component of this WTE post is to support the COMPASS service. The COMPASS service is due for launch in late 2026 / early 2027 and a consultant has been recently appointed to lead this service.
COMPASS - This is a new initiative seeking to guide patients and professionals to the right care in the right place at the right time. Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital The Exeter Nuffield hospital is based next to the RD&E hospital in Wonford, Exeter. The hospital has 2 theatres, as well as a hybrid cardiac catheter laboratory/theatre and an Endoscopy suite. There are two ward areas: an inpatient area with 21 beds and a day-case ward with 12 beds. We also have a busy outpatient department, pharmacy, physiotherapy, and radiology department including an MRI scanner. We specialise in elective orthopaedic and spinal surgery, cardiology including invasive procedures, general surgery, plastics and cosmetic surgery, ENT, and gynaecology. The Hospital has a MAKO robot that undertakes some of the joint replacement surgery which we have become well known for in this field of surgery.

As an ENT Nurse Practitioner with InHealth, you will provide expert, patient-centred care within our community ENT service across Greater Manchester. We would like to invite you to apply for an exciting opportunity that has arisen in our division of Urgent & Emergency Care. We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated candidates to apply for Senior Clinical Fellow posts (equivalent to minimum CT3/ST3 or higher). These roles are not recognised as a formal training post, however, the training opportunities will be similar to those at ST3+ level training posts.
The post holders will gain a wide range of experience in all aspects of work within the Acute Medicine Department. During this time, the post holders will work primarily in the Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) unit and the Clinical Assessment Unit (CAU) plus GIM on-call rota.
Applicants must have at least 6 months experience working in the UK at middle grade level and comfortable in running medical take independently.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be part of the medical team, supporting acute medical units. The service is multi-disciplinary, and the post holder is expected to work as part of a health professional team under the supervision of a Consultant Physician.
You will be appointed an Educational Supervisor and are able to fill in a portfolio. There is an in-house training program for junior doctors as well as grand rounds and specialty training.
The post holder will:
- Be mainly based in SDEC and CAU
- Work at the level of a middle grade doctor and contribute to the day to day running of CAU and/or SDEC
- Take part in a middle grade on-call rota in and out of hours
- Professional development through attendance at Acute Medicine and local speciality teaching, core medical training and grand rounds
- Undertaking audit and quality improvement projects
- Developing interests in Acute Medicine specialty
- Work closely within the multidisciplinary teams to provide a high quality daily and general medicine services to patients in the local area and to support the Trust in achieving all national targets.

Hwb iechyd Cybi is looking for experienced, organised and enthusiastic Receptionist/administrators to work in our Health Board managed GP Practice.
Previous experience of working within a GP Practice would be beneficial and knowledge of the EMIS clinical system is desirable, however training can be given. The demands of a GP practice can change on a daily basis and therefore this role will be challenging.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be booking appointments and dealing with patient queries therefore excellent communication skills and a confident telephone manner is required.
Proficient IT skills (including experience of Microsoft office) is also required as the post holder will also be undertaking a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth day to day running of the practices, including some data inputting.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a healthcare setting or a customer service environment but full training can be given to the right candidate.
The post holder will also be expected to work at other Health Board managed GP practices in the west area on an ad hoc basis to meet service needs and to cover staff absences. This will be discussed at interview.

We are delighted to offer this opportunity to join our team of paediatric emergency physicians at Cardiff's University Hospital of Wales (UHW). These posts are aimed at middle grade doctors in Emergency Medicine or paediatrics with an interest in Paediatric Emergency Medicine.
The post is available from 4th August 2027 to 2nd August 2028.
Appointees can have up to 30% of their time devoted to one or more of the above activities which will be facilitated through links with the EMAC at Cardiff University with use of an office based in the university
Appointees will have 70% of their time allocated to clinical duties in Paediatric Emergency Medicine. They will participate in the out-of-hours rota.
Main duties of the job
You will provide a service in the speciality to the hospitals so designated, with responsibility for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of accidents and acute emergencies.
You will have responsibility for the care of patients in your charge and for the proper functioning of the department in line with the Department's Operational Policy.
You will be responsible for the professional supervision and management of junior medical staff.
You will be responsible for undertaking the administrative duties associated with the care of patients and the administration of the department in the UHB.

Main duties of the job
The role includes scanning and coding of documents on to patient records and general administration office tasks such as registering patients to the practice, responding to emails and dealing with admin queries from patients and outside agencies.
About us
Marsh House is a friendly teaching GP Practice. Our team consists of 5 GPs, a nursing team, a reception team and an admin team. We host medical students from Newcastle and Sunderland University and also welcome GP Registrars and foundation doctors on placements.
We are a busy practice based inside Abbey Health Centre in Billingham.

Job responsibilities
The post holder will work within their competencies to provide a high standard of work whilst being professional.
The post holder will need to be proactive and manage some aspects of the Quality and Outcomes Framework and enhanced services offered by the practice.
Work with the practice team to ensure full compliance with Care Quality Commission standards for safe and effective care.
Answering internal and external phone calls.
Dealing with administration queries for the practice.
Ensuring all post delivered to the practice is uploaded to records and actioned daily.
Completing workflow documents folder daily.
Monitoring the generic email account daily and redirecting appropriately.
Scanning on all relevant documents to patient notes in a timely manner and disposing of old scanned documents.
Re-assigning unmatched documents on the system daily.
Keeping the practice DNACPR record up to date.
Stock monitoring and ordering stationery.
Tasks box for all coders monitored daily.
Coders will cover each others holidays in full. There should be a minimum of 1 coder per day Monday-Friday. Any extra hours worked will be paid as over time.
Any other administrative team duties deemed suitable by your Supervisor / Line manager
