We have an exciting opportunity for Registered Nurses to join our specialist palliative care inpatient unit in Warwick. Full time and part time positions are available.
You will help our patients and their loved ones to get on top of difficult symptoms, deal with any physical pain and reduce emotional distress.
We provide an in-house training programme to support your professional development, including progression opportunities.
Main duties of the job
Our Registered Nurses:
- Deliver high quality, evidence-based palliative care
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate programmes of patient care
- Work in a multi-disciplinary team with doctors and other healthcare professionals
- Act as a mentor for junior staff and students
We would love to hear from Registered Nurses with:
- NMC registration
- Post-registration experience
- The right to work in the UK (we cannot support with sponsorship)
This is a nursing role, providing adult healthcare, so it will require an enhanced DBS check, including the adults' barred list. We will cover the cost of this check.

At The Myton Hospices, we provide specialist care and support for people with life-limiting illnesses, and their loved ones, from the point of diagnosis to end of life. - Act as a positive role model to others and ensure that practice of specialist palliative care is evidence-based and promoted within the clinical area.

- Act as a clinical resource and mentor so students, junior staff and those on placement to Myton achieve their learning needs and expertise is shared with the wider health economy.

Job summary
An opportunity has arisen at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Gateshead to appoint a locum consultant for six months to address the demand for knee surgery / arthroplasty surgery. We anticipate that the appointed surgeon will be competent in performing both primary knee and primary hip replacement surgery.
The department consists of 12 consultants, 9 middle grades, 3 surgical care practitioners and one surgical first assistant. 3 ST trainees are allocated to our unit as well as 2 core trainees.
The successful candidate will be based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Gateshead with occasional off-site clinics. This is a 6 month locum opportunity in primary hip and knee arthroplasty. The successful candidate will participate in the on call rota.
Main duties of the job
Applications are invited for an enthusiastic lower limb primary arthroplasty colleague to join our friendly department at Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust.
There is a dedicated 15 bedded ring-fenced elective ward which has successfully delivered a robust elective programme through the pandemic. There is also a 28 bedded trauma unit delivering high quality trauma care alongside our Orthogeriatric team. We have 4 dedicated state of the art elective laminar flow orthopaedic theatres located in our modern surgery centre and one dedicated laminar flow trauma theatre. The trauma theatre delivers 7 days of full day operating.
The Orthopaedic department has consistently performed well in all metrics of the neck of femur care and our theatre is one of the most productive in the country.
The provisional on call rota is 1:10 with a job planned trauma list once every three weeks. The allocated PA's will be 10.0
It is expected that there will be at least one elective and one fracture clinic a week. There will be at least two sessions allocated for elective surgery the delivery of which may be flexible depending on the theatre scheduling. Adequate time will be allocated for CPD activity.
The job plan is flexible and an illustration is shown in the attached job description document.
The post holder will work flexibly with their Consultant colleagues within the wide remit of the Department's activity. A formal job plan will be agreed on appointment.

Job summary
Applications are invited for the post of Locum Consultant in Respiratory Medicine and Acute Medicine (10PAs) to start as soon as possible for a period of 12 months. This Locum post is to cover Respiratory Medicine (50%) and Acute Medicine (50%).
Main duties of the job
The holder will support care of inpatients in General Respiratory Medicine (4-5 ward weeks per year including weekend), and outpatients in General Respiratory Medicine, with a focus on caring for people with COPD as the team roll out biologic therapy for eligible patients with COPD.
The post is joint with the department of Acute Medicine, and the holder will undertake up to 15 weeks (with approximately 5 weekends) per year of Acute Medicine ward Consultant work.
You will be fully registered with the GMC and have a CCT in Respiratory Medicine and either general Internal Medicine or Acute Medicine or be within six months of award of CCT at the time of interview. The Breast Services department is strongly supported by a Lead Breast Specialist Nurse and Specialist Nurses in Primary and Secondary Breast Cancer, as well as an Surgical Care Practitioners. There is also a dedicated Breast Clinical Governance and Risk Management Lead.
We offer a wide range of Oncoplastic Breast Surgery, Including Implant based reconstruction, Therapeutic Mammoplasty. Latissimus Dorsi Flap reconstruction, Local artery perforator flap surgery and both wire and magseed guided surgery.
There are weekly countywide MDT meetings for the Breast Cancer, which are well supported by the MDT coordinators, specialist nurses, Histopathology, Radiology and Oncology Consultants.
There are close links between the Plastic Surgery Department at the university Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire and the other Directorates within the Trust.
Main duties of the job
DUTIES OF THE POST
- Under the guidance of the consultants, the post holder will be responsible for the clinical care of Breast patients.
- There is not expectation of on call
- To assist in Breast Out-patient clinics
- Perform Breast surgery within his/her capability sometimes without supervision and if difficulties arise beyond his/her competence to consult the relevant or on call Consultant.
- To be responsible for the maintenance of proper case records and investigations on patients, and correspondence with General Practitioners and others as required
- Duties will be arranged with the consultant to whom you are responsible, and you must discuss and understand these duties as soon as possible as you take up your appointment. With a retirement from the team we are looking for a successful applicant to work alongside our team of 2 hepatologists, a GPwER, 3 specialist nurses and a dietitian to maintain our well regarded Hepatology service. The post holder is expected to have broad experience of gastroenterology, hepatology and endoscopy, contributing to the core Gastroenterology elective and emergency service but with special emphasis on delivering hepatology services.
Main duties of the job
The post would be well suited to a dedicated Hepatologist or a Gastroenterologist with an interest in Hepatology. The successful applicant will join a broader team of 11 WTE gastroenterologists fully supported by specialist nurses and advanced diagnostic services. The Hepatology team also maintain close links with the Leeds liver transplant unit. They will participate in a 1 in 11 category A out of hours GI bleed on call rota.
The department offers Complex IBD, Nutrition, Hepatology and hepato-biliary expertise in addition to advanced therapeutic endoscopic services and a bowel cancer screening service. The applicant will have the opportunity to further develop a special interest alongside our existing team.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Senior Practitioner Psychologist on Fixed term/ Secondment contract to join our community Forensic Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (FCAMHS). The FCAMHS community team base is in Peterborough and there is also a second base in Cambridge. The service is regional covering the East of England region (Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire).
This dynamic service will work in partnership with wider agencies to ensure integrated care provision across health, social care, education and youth justice to optimise the outcomes for children/young people who present with high risk and/or concerning behaviours and where mental health and/or neurodevelopmental concerns are suspected. The job will involve a mixture of advice and consultation and direct assessment work.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for the everyday delivery of our Mentalization-Based Therapy research pathway. Working closely with a research assistant, the postholder will insure the delivery of the research is in-line with Good Clinical Practice standards and adherent to the research protocol. They will responsible for supervising the assistant and reporting to the service Clinical Lead, and National team.
The post holder will be part of a multi-disciplinary team and will have the support of a Senior Leadership Team that includes a Consultant Psychologist and Consultant Psychiatrist. The postholder will have the opportunity to be part of psychology networks across the Trust and a specialist forensic peer supervision group. The post holder can offer Trainee Psychologist placements.
The post holder will provide a highly specialist psychology service to children/young people and their families/carers. The post holder will provide specialist psychological assessments for children/young people with highly complex presentations and psychological consultation to other professionals involved in their care. The postholder will also be expected to undertake service development projects and research as agreed with the Psychological Therapies Lead and Senior Leadership Team.

Job summary
This is a development post, if you are appointed as a Band 5, you will be provided with a list of competencies to complete and an agreed timescale in which to complete these, up to a maximum of 12mths. We are currently looking to recruit a Podiatrist to join the CPFT Podiatry Service working in the community in Cambridgeshire. The successful applicant will work primarily in their locality podiatry team but will be required to support the service across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough when needed. We operate out of key sites in Oak Tree Centre/ Doddington Community Hospital/Princess of Wales Hospital/ North Cambs. Hospital/ Chesterton Medical Centre/ City Care Centre.
We are open to Podiatrists from various professional backgrounds including newly qualified staff and staff looking to join the NHS from private practice. We have developed a comprehensive preceptorship program for newly qualified Podiatrists, and a structured competency framework for more experienced Podiatrists to ensure those joining the team experience a structured, supportive onboarding experience.
There is scope for the positions to be full or part-time alongside potential for compressed hours (e.g. full-time hours over 4 day weeks or 9 day fortnights).
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will be competent across all core areas of Podiatry and have a strong team work ethic and sense of accountability. The successful candidate will work within the Podiatry team to support our core cohort of patients, with scope for specialist practice dependant on the individuals skillset.
We are keen to support and develop our staff through a clear career pathway and encourage promotional opportunities within the Trust. Within the service there is ample opportunity for professional growth and development across the variety of specialisms we offer; from diabetic and high risk foot management, in both the community and acute settings, to assisting in our community-run Podiatric Surgery unit. Alongside this there is also opportunity to specialise within our MSK or Nail Surgery teams. There are opportunities to develop line management and mentoring skills through supporting of Podiatry students, our apprentice Podiatrists and Footcare Assistants.

As a Consultant Psychiatrist at Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust, you'll lead a collaborative team and provide high-quality care to the vibrant communities of Deal and its surrounding villages.
This is a community-based post where you will work flexibly and collaboratively with two other consultants in the South Kent Coast Community Mental Health Teams. Please note, we also have vacancies based in Dover and Folkestone. Please apply for each vacancy you are interested in.
Successful applicants will ideally have MRCPsych or equivalent and be on, or within six months of inclusion on, the Specialist Register. - To provide clinical leadership within the South Kent Coastal Community Mental Health Team alongside two other Consultant colleagues.

The GP PCME is responsible for delivery of quality assured education at Programme and Postgraduate School of General Practice levels across the Macclesfield GP Programme.

Main duties of the job
You will be joining a team of three full-time equivalent Consultant Haematopathologists, five Consultant diagnostic Haematologists and a Consultant Clinical Scientist, allowing the provision of a consultant-led service with sub-specialty responsibility and clinical leadership. The HODS Consultants contribute to seven regional or local MDTs through digital video-conferencing facilities. The routine working day is from 9am-5.30pm on 5 days per week. A member of the Consultant team is available 24 hours a day for discussion of urgent cases and a member of the laboratory team is on call at weekends for urgent flow cytometry requests.
You will be fully registered with the GMC and ideally have a CCT in Histopathology or be within six months of award of CCT at the time of interview.

We are seeking a Band 6 Learning Disability Nurse to join our Community Learning Disability Team based in Brighton. As a Learning Disability Nurse in our team you will be a key member of our multi-professional health team, integrated with our Social Services colleagues to support people who have a learning disability, but who also have complex physical and mental health needs including behaviours that challenge.
Our community learning disability team provides specialist community support for adults with a learning disability, their families and carers. Our teams include SaLT, occupational therapists, clinical psychologists, physios, psychiatrists and behaviour practitioners.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be providing high-quality assessment, support and advice to people with learning disabilities and their carers'. You will provide and/or arrange access to specialist focused health interventions and monitoring as identified in health care and treatment plans, for example; related to complex physical health, epilepsy, challenging behaviour and mental health.
You will be managing your own diary and own case load, working across Brighton and Hove to support our service users in the most efficient and effective way possible. An ability to be able to travel around the city is essential, as you will need to complete home visits and meetings.
Although this is an autonomous role, you will have ample support from our multi-disciplinary team, senior nursing team and our wider Learning Disability Nursing Service across the Trust. Peer support and CPD are at the forefront of how we operate, with your development goals being highly valued and encouraged.

We are recruiting for a full-time Consultant Psychiatrist to join Marlborough Community CAMHSand work with a well-established multi-disciplinary team at Savernake Hospital in Marlborough.
You'll provide psychiatric clinical input and leadership within a recently redesigned service delivering targeted mental health care to children and young people with severe and enduring mental health needs through our Getting More Helppathway.
You'll work in partnership within the multidisciplinary team for the clinical management of patients. This will include risk assessment, the assessment of the needs of carers, and the development of services to meet the needs of patients and families for whom the team is responsible.
You'll work 10 programmed activities with a job plan typically comprising 75% direct clinical care and 25% supporting professional activities, in line with Royal College of Psychiatrists' guidance. Opportunities are available to develop interests in service development, quality improvement, and teaching and training within a well-established, supportive multidisciplinary team and consultant peer group.

Main duties of the job
- Provide clinical leadership and medical input to the team
- Responsibility for those patients you see yourself, together with those patients seen by medical staff directly supervised by you
- With other consultants in the team, have responsibility for the clinical governance of the team as clinical leads for the team
- The team will assess all emergencies referred to it within a day of referral. When necessary, this will include responsibility for Mental Health Act assessment of patients. The Consultant is not expected to make initial assessments, except in certain circumstances. The Consultant psychiatrists will work in partnership within the multidisciplinary team for the clinical management of patients in relation to the Trust Key working model. This will include risk assessment, the assessment of the needs of carers, and the development of services to meet the needs of patients and families for whom the team is responsible.
- Be a clinical leaders in your team and ensure excellent systems of clinical governance so that their team provides high quality, safe care to patients. Consultants are expected to encourage a Restorative Just and Learning Culture of Learning, participate in safety huddles and investigations and participate in identifying improvements in practice where appropriate.
