An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated qualified Health Care Assistant / Nursing Associate to join our team.
You will be joining a well-established successful nursing team of 2 ACPs, 1 trainee ACP, 2 very experienced Practice Nurses, 1 healthcare assistants who work in conjunction with a great wider team of clinicians, a very supportive management team, as well as administrative function.
Main duties of the job
The applicant must be a qualified HCA/ Registered Nurse Associate on the NMC register and must have the Nursing Associate foundation degree qualification.
The ideal candidate would work 25 hours per week ideally Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, but there is some flexibility around this.
You will provide and maintain a high standard of nursing care for patients, as well as providing nursing assistance to the Doctors and other members of the primary healthcare team.
The duties will include all tasks normally undertaken by a HCA/Nursing Associate working in General Practice, including health promotion, room checks (infection control duties).
About us
We have 6 strong GP team which also includes 2 ACPs, 1 trainee ACPs,3 Practice nurses, Practice Pharmacist and Health Care Assistant who work closely to deliver care to our 10,500+ patient population. Our premises also house Community mental health and Social prescribing clinics. We practise from purpose-built premises with easy access to Manchester city centre and the North West motorway network. As an established training practice, we are proud to have trained Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Foundation year doctors and GPST trainees.

Job responsibilities
- To assist and perform routine nursing tasks related to patient care, such as routine BP checks, ECG, BMI and lifestyle advice, as directed and agreed with line manager, registered general nurses and GPs.
- To support patients to improve and maintain their mental, physical, behavioural health and wellbeing by using behaviour change interventions, such as undertaking health checks (physical and mental), smoking cessation services.
- Support the Practice Nurse with the management of patients with long-term conditions/chronic diseases, using a holistic patient centred approach.
- Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care as directed by the Practice Nurse GP or other member of the Primary HealthCare Team.
- Be able to undertake baseline observations and identify signs of improvement, report any deteriorations or concerns, e.g. pulse, blood pressure, respirations, oxygen saturations, peak flow, spirometry, blood glucose levels, diabetic feet check, participate in screening programmes and Annual Reviews for example in patients with Learning Disabilities
- Perform cervical smear screening on completion of additional training as guidance RCN Position Statement on Registered Nursing Associates (RNAs) training in cervical sample taking.
- Administer medications as prescribed and in accordance with NMC standards e.g. via nebuliser or injections using sub-cutaneous or intramuscular route under Patient Specific Directions.
- Following agreed protocols with referral to Practice Nurse or GPs as appropriate assist in the assessment, planning, development implementation and evaluation of programmes to promote health and well-being and prevent adverse effects on health and well-being.
- Deliver opportunistic health promotion using opportunities such as new patient medicals and NHS health checks.
- Document consultations accurately and appropriately, according to NMC guideline
- Ensure awareness of statuary and local clinical adult and children safeguarding protection procedures, including systems of referral. Ability to recognise signs and symptoms of abuse/neglect.
- Ensure infection prevention and control guidelines are maintained.
- To be responsible for providing the appropriate nursing evidenced based care of an allocated group of patients.
- Be an accountable professional who is responsible for their actions, working in line with NMC standards of proficiency and recognise and work within the limits of their competency.

Bleep Holder Anaesthetist Rota:
The successful candidate will join the bleep holder anaesthetist rota based at the Heatherwood Hospital. The BHA shift commences at 10.00 hrs and finishes at 22.00 hrs when all patients have been discharged from PACU. The BHA is contactable over the bleep phone till 22.00. This rota is only for the weekday daytime. There is no service over the weekends, nights and bank holidays.
The successful candidate will also be involved in preoperative assessment of patients, pain ward rounds and trouble shooting in PACU and DSU in addition to providing support to theatres. The role would also entail facilitating the flow in theatres, supporting emergencies in theatre and assist with transfer of patients to the acute site.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly skilled clinician to join the Single Point of Access (SPA) team as a Band 6 Therapy Clinical Decision Maker. The post holder will provide clinical assessment, triage, decision-making and leadership for referrals with identified therapy needs, working within a complex and fast-paced service. The role will be 2 days, 8-6 (Monday to Friday), based at the Community Response Hub.
The Single Point of Access provides a centralised route into community services, ensuring patients are assessed and directed to the most appropriate service based on their individual needs. The Therapy Clinical Decision maker will play a key role in delivering safe, responsive and effective clinical triage, supporting timely access to community-based care, to prevent avoidable deterioration, hospital attendance and admission.
This is a telephone-based clinical role, requiring the post holder to undertake comprehensive clinical triage and assessment remotely. The post holder will use clinical reasoning and professional judgement to identify clinical risk, determine urgency and make autonomous decisions regarding the most appropriate pathway of care.
This opportunity would suit an experienced registered clinician with strong assessment and decision-making skills who is confident managing clinical risk remotely and is motivated to contribute to the development of an integrated, responsive and patient-centred Single Point of Access service.
Main duties of the job
Undertake comprehensive, predominantly telephone-based clinical triage and assessment of patients identified as having therapy needs, with a wide range of acute, complex and changing health and care needs.
Complete triage and/or screening of urgent and more routine therapy referrals, filtering referrals for UCR and Neighbourhood team, identifying the most appropriate onward service.
Work alongside a Senior Triage Clinician, HUB GP being part of a MDT clinical decision-making team. Using clinical reasoning, professional judgement and evidence-based practice to determine clinical urgency, level of risk and the most appropriate course of action.
Recognise signs of acute deterioration, red flags and safeguarding concerns, taking immediate and appropriate action as required.
Work collaboratively across organisational and professional boundaries, liaising with community teams, primary care, ambulance services, acute providers, social care and other system partners to identify and coordinate the most appropriate pathway of care.
Contribute to the development, implementation and review of clinical pathways, triage frameworks, protocols, standard operating procedures and service guidance.
Participate in clinical audit, quality improvement, service evaluation and other clinical governance activities, using findings to support improvements in the quality, safety and effectiveness of the SPA service

The gynaecology team we have the exciting opportunity for a fulltime (10 PA) consultant post, within the gynaecology service at Gloucestershire Hospitals Trusts.

Job responsibilities
The ACNP crosses the clinical boundaries between nursing and medical care, using advanced clinical knowledge and skills to work independently, with support provided by a Consultant Neonatologist for clinical supervision. This includes working out of hours with telephone support from a Consultant Neonatologist.
The post holders will promote a high standard of advanced clinical nursing and medical care by initiating and co-ordinating the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of the holistic needs of babies, parents/carers and families through evidence based clinical practice following agreed policies, protocols and guidelines.
An advanced clinical practitioner exercises independent judgement to provide all elements of clinical care using an holistic, family-centred approach, which may include assessment; planning; provision of care and treatment; diagnosis; investigation and referral; evaluation; transfer; discharge; follow-up.
ACNPs contribute to Tier 2 (Middle Grade/SpR/ST 4-7) or Tier 1 (SHO/ST1-3) rota and clinical nursing shifts, the work pattern of each individual being determined by their level of experience and competence. There will be the opportunity as experience is gained to progress from Tier 1 to Tier 2.
The post-holders will be expected to work on average 37.5 hours per week in a shift pattern. The shift patterns will be compliant with the European Working Time Directive and will involve shifts not more than 13 hours in length and will include working weekends and night shifts on a regular basis. Approximately 25% of the post holders time will be used for nursing development and service development, education and training.
The ACNPs will work within the multidisciplinary team to deliver advanced clinical neonatal nursing and medical practice, education, support and clinical leadership. They will be easily recognisable by uniform and badge.

An exciting secondment opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Band 6 health professional to join our experienced Specialist Movement Disorder Team as a Dystonia Specialist Nurse. This is a 12-month full-time secondment opportunity, working alongside a highly skilled and experienced team of Dystonia Specialist Nurses.
If you have experience working with dystonia, movement disorders or long-term neurological conditions, and are enthusiastic about developing your skills in this specialist area, this role could be an excellent opportunity for you.
This is a highly specialised area of practice within movement disorders, and full training and support will be provided. Following completion of the training programme, you will use your knowledge, skills and experience to deliver a specialist dystonia service and provide high-quality patient care. The role will involve working both autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team under the direction of the Band 7 Nurse and Consultant team.
This is a diverse and rewarding role that requires sound judgement, discretion and decision-making skills to support and guide clinical care across a variety of settings. You will work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team across the Trust to provide specialist advice, support and education.
Main duties of the job
Provide specialist assessment, treatment and ongoing management for patients with dystonia and hemifacial spasm
Deliver nurse-led clinics and specialist interventions in accordance with agreed protocols, guidelines and scope of practice
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised care programmes for patients accessing the service
Act as a key point of contact for patients, carers and healthcare professionals, providing expert advice, guidance and support
Provide education, support and health promotion to patients, carers and healthcare professionals to facilitate informed decision-making and self-management
Undertake specialist procedures and support the safe delivery, administration and monitoring of treatments, including botulinum toxin therapy where appropriate

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated nurse to join the Colorectal Team at Ipswich Hospital as aStraight to Test - Colorectal Nurse. You will play a key role in the early colorectal cancer pathway, supporting the delivery of a safe, effective and timely Faster Diagnosis Standard (FDS) service. The role will involve clinical triage of referrals, telephone assessment, assessing fitness and suitability for investigation, identifying appropriate diagnostic tests & coordinating patients through the diagnostic pathway. We are seeking a nurse with a good clinical background & an understanding ofcolorectal disease, comorbidities, anticoagulation, frailty, functional status & overall fitness for investigation. Knowledge of the colorectal FDS pathway, suspected cancer referral criteria, clinical triage & the ability to apply guidelines & protocols is desirable. You will use electronic systems to assess referrals, request investigations & communicate with the multidisciplinary team, including colorectal consultants, CNSs, Endoscopy, Radiology, Cancer Hub and GP practices. Excellent communication skills are essential, with the ability to explain investigations clearly to patients, provide appropriate advice & recognise when senior clinical support is required. The role requires good organisation, independent working within agreed competencies & accurate documentation.Full training, competency development & clinical supervision will be provided.
Main duties of the job
The STT Colorectal Nurse will play a key role in the early assessment & management of patients referred through the colorectal suspected cancer pathway. Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and clinically triaging referrals in line with the colorectalFaster Diagnosis Standard pathway, referral criteria, local protocols and national guidance.
- Assessing clinical information and undertaking telephone assessment where required to establish relevant history, comorbidities, medication, anticoagulation, frailty, functional status and fitness for investigation.
- Identifying the most appropriate diagnostic investigation and arranging or requesting this through electronic systems in a timely manner.
- Recognising patients requiring further assessment or senior clinical review and escalating appropriately.
- Applying clinical guidelines, protocols and agreed pathways while working within professional competence and scope of practice
- Maintaining accurate electronic records & monitoring patients through the diagnostic pathway, identifying and escalating potential delays.
- Liaising effectively with patients, GPs, colorectal consultants, CNSs, Endoscopy, Radiology, Cancer Hub, booking teams and other members of the MDT.

What is a Theatre Support Worker?
This is an entry role into theatres that provides essential support to the surgical team by caring for the patient accompanying them throughout their surgical journey. You will support colleagues with tasks, essential to the smooth running of the theatre, and help to ensure each member of the team is able to do their job effectively.
You will be a friendly reassuring face, making a vital difference to patients by helping them to feel as calm, comfortable and prepared as possible when they may be anxious about going into the operating theatre.
Working flexibly as part of the team, youll be responsible for undertaking movement of patients, cleaning and general duties, helping to check the theatre and open equipment and items needed by the operating theatre team.
As a member of the theatre support staff, you'll also:
- move patients on trolleys
- reassure family members
- prepare patients for anaesthetic
- set out instruments and equipment ready for surgery
- make sure the department has stocks of items needed
- clean and tidy theatre areas after surgery
You'll be part of the supportive team of colleagues including; theatre nurses, anaesthetists, surgeons, operating department practitioners, and administrative staff.

You dont need experience, but need a good level of English and Maths. What is a Theatre Support Worker?
This is an entry role into theatres that provides essential support to the surgical team by caring for the patient accompanying them throughout their surgical journey. You will support colleagues with tasks, essential to the smooth running of the theatre, and help to ensure each member of the team is able to do their job effectively.
You will be a friendly reassuring face, making a vital difference to patients by helping them to feel as calm, comfortable and prepared as possible when they may be anxious about going into the operating theatre.
Working flexibly as part of the team, youll be responsible for undertaking movement of patients, cleaning and general duties, helping to check the theatre and open equipment and items needed by the operating theatre team.
As a member of the theatre support staff, you'll also:
- move patients on trolleys
- reassure family members
- prepare patients for anaesthetic
- set out instruments and equipment ready for surgery
- make sure the department has stocks of items needed
- clean and tidy theatre areas after surgery
You'll be part of the supportive team of colleagues including; theatre nurses, anaesthetists, surgeons, operating department practitioners, and administrative staff.
Full training given.
You dont need experience, but need a good level of English and Maths. You will have the ability to remain calm and reassuring, be able to follow instructions and procedures, be organised, a good communicator and enjoy being part of a team but also able to take responsibility for your own work. Microvascular Surgery Clinical Fellow post (SpR / ST6+ Level) in Lower Limb Reconstruction
We wish to appoint a 1x Clinical Microsurgical Fellow - Specialty Registrar Level in Plastic Surgery with a special interest in lower limb and microsurgery in general. 1x post will commence on February 2027 for a 6 month fixed term contract.
Main duties of the job
Expectations of the position - The successful candidate will be in year 7 / 8 of plastic surgery training (or equivalent), have passed FRCS (Plast) or equivalent and will have special interest in microsurgery reflected in the application form.
The successful candidate will be expected to be involved in teaching and to undertake clinical audit projects. The successful candidate will be expected to attend specialist clinics in ortho - plastic surgery.
This post is recognised for training by the Specialist Advisory Committee in Plastic Surgery and has Royal College Approval.
Candidates must have GMC registration that allows them to work in posts that are not recognised for training. It is essential that candidates have experience and familiarity with UK hospital systems and practices or equivalent.

There is an exciting opportunity to join, the Mental Health Assessment and Intervention Team. The service was set to provide high quality care for people experiencing mental health problems in Plymouth and has proved a success across the city. The service will offer evidence-based treatment pathways for people that require more support than can be offered in Primary Care Services and voluntary agencies within the community. The role will develop more effective links with primary care and third sector agencies to support those people.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking to recruit experienced and flexible with excellent networking skills to join the team. This post will offer a challenging and exciting opportunity to gain experience of working across Livewell's Core mental Health Service, working across a variety of settings such as GP surgeries, and Community hubs developing relationships with Primary Care, partner agencies and secondary mental health services. You will have the opportunity to deliver evidence-based recovery focussed mental health interventions.
The CMHS pathway provides a variety of opportunities for clinical support and development, including a tailored induction programme, regular multi -disciplinary team meetings, monthly individual supervision, and regular multi-disciplinary caseload supervision. As a member of the Core mental health teams, you will also contribute to service developments at the quarterly meetings.

The role will support the care of those patients who are:
Referred into the team by internal services, GP surgeries for support with their mental health, to provide signposting.
The role will offer mental state monitoring and risk assessment.

JOB PURPOSE
The role will support the care of those patients who are:
Referred into the team by internal services, GP surgeries for support with their mental health, to provide signposting.
The role will offer mental state monitoring and risk assessment.
The role will provide a range of brief psychotherapeutic and social interventions, appropriate to the band of the role, for people experiencing mental health difficulties. via telephone or video call, occasionally face to face visits where this is deemed as the only appropriate medium.
The role involves working with people experiencing mental health concerns / complex emotional needs via a number of different means i.e. face-to-face, telephone and/or video call.
The role will also include an effective working knowledge of the voluntary sector as well as an understanding of the needs of carers and family.
The role will require working collaboratively with key partner organisations, service users, carers, clinicians and other practitioners within a multi-disciplinary team in delivering services.
There is a requirement for substantial periods of concentration and sitting and accurate and timely record keeping.
3. SCOPE AND RANGE
For people experiencing a mental health crisis, Video/Tele-coaches Intervention Practitioners will provide:
Mental state assessments
Clinical risk assessments
Clinical formulations
A range of recovery focussed interventions.
Validation and de-escalation of crisis
Distress tolerance and emotional regulation strategies
Brief psychological interventions to people experiencing fluctuation in their mental health state.
Consultation and advice to carers and families and other agencies to enable them to effectively support service users.
Effective liaison with other parts of the mental health pathway and partner agencies

Main duties of the job
Work closely with the ED nurse coordinator(NIC), Emergency Physician in Charge (EPIC) and the wider team to support patient flow, in line with national Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Utilise the electronic patient record system (Meditech) to ensure accurate tracking of the patient journey throughout their time within the ED,
Demonstrate effective communication skills in the assistance of patients, relatives and staff members, both in person and over the telephone.
Handle incoming telephone calls in a professional manner, directing callers to the appropriate source of information
Provide regular tannoy announcements to communicate current waiting times to patients for both minors and majors. Main duties of the job
The purpose of the post is to assist the GP and nursing team in the delivery of a safe and high-quality primary care services for the practice population.
The post holder will undertake delegated tasks and duties under direct or indirect supervision.
The post holder will work within clear parameters and lines of accountability after appropriate training and assessment of competencies.
The post holder will be responsible for performing venepuncture to obtain blood samples from patients only as the result of a direct referral from a GP or clinician, or as part of medication reviews.

We have an exciting opportunity for experienced and newly qualified band 5 Operating Department Practitioners/Anaesthetic Trained Nurses to join our Children's and Obstetric Theatres services at the Royal London Hospital.
We have 4 Children's theatres and 2 Obstetric theatres at the Royal London Hospital covering a diverse range of both elective and emergency work in a variety of specialties including major trauma, via the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS). Our paediatric elective work includes a range of clinical specialities; ENT, Dental, Trauma and Orthopaedics, Plastics, General and Neonatal Surgery, Ophthalmology.
As part of your development you will have the opportunity to work in our adult inpatient theatres on a three month rotation. During the rotation you will gain invaluable trauma experiences and increase your knowledge and skills. As an Anaesthetic Nurse/ODP in children's and obstetrics theatres you will also be rotated to work in our paediatric recovery areas, allowing our department to work together as one team.

Main duties of the job

NHS South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board is seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion for improving outcomes for children, young people and care leavers to join our Safeguarding Team as Deputy Designated Nurse for Safeguarding Children and Looked After Children.
This strategic role provides safeguarding leadership, advice and assurance, supporting the ICB to meet its statutory responsibilities in line with the NHS England Safeguarding Accountability and Assurance Framework (SAAF). Working with designated professionals, commissioned services and system partners, you will strengthen safeguarding governance, provider assurance, partnership working and quality improvement. You will support learning from reviews and audits, identify risks and help ensure childrens voices inform commissioning and system improvement.
We are looking for an experienced safeguarding practitioner with strong leadership, analytical and influencing skills, able to provide advice and professional challenge.
Main duties of the job

The postholder will:
- Support the Designated Nurse in providing strategic and professional safeguarding leadership across the South Yorkshire health and care system.
- Provide expert advice, guidance and constructive professional challenge on complex, sensitive or contentious safeguarding matters.
- Support the ICB to fulfil its statutory safeguarding responsibilities and provide assurance in line with the NHS England Safeguarding Accountability and Assurance Framework.
- Develop and maintain robust safeguarding governance and assurance arrangements across NHS-funded and commissioned services.
- Work collaboratively with designated professionals, NHS providers, local authorities, safeguarding partnerships and other system partners to strengthen safeguarding arrangements and improve outcomes.

- Analyse complex qualitative and quantitative information to identify themes, risks, gaps and opportunities for system improvement.
