The Cellular Pathology Department has a vacancy for a Cancer Pathway Tracker/Admin Medical Laboratory Assistant to work full time hours supporting the Biomedical Scientists and Consultant Histopathologists.
The post-holder will monitor cancer pathway samples and facilitate their progress throughout the Cellular pathology department to ensure timely and efficient turnaround, liaising with Cancer services, Biomedical Scientists and Consultant Histopathologists. As this is a combined role the time will be split between this duty and an admin MLA role, whose main responsibilities include, archiving slides and blocks, answering phone calls and emails, preparing MDT's and general administrative tasks.You must possess good organisational skills and be able to work as part of a team as well as under your own initiative. The work is interesting and varied and the emphasis is on accuracy and attention to detail. Full training will be given.
Main duties of the job
- To update Cancer Services Pathology Escalation spreadsheet as appropriate, ensuring all relevant information is available for the PTL meetings.
- General clerical duties associated with the work of the Laboratory, including filing, telephone answering, photocopying etc.
- To ensure Pathology diagnostic tests have been correctly identified as "Cancer Pathway" and prioritised accordingly.
- To work closely with cancer services and Cellular Pathology technical and clinical team.
- To ensure office policy is adhered to, i.e. telephones answered promptly, queries dealt with promptly and being courteous at all times to all members of staff.

Job summary
Consultant Upper GI Surgeon
Division: Surgery and Anaesthetics
Care Group: Surgical Services
Salary: £113,565 - £150,569 Per annum/pro rata
Interview Date: TBC
The new appointment would perform these benign upper GI procedures listed together with the already employed UGI surgeon. Both UGI surgeons will cover any patients in the hospital following UGI procedures. They will be contactable at weekends for discussion about this. As a cohort of general surgeons we will look after these patients as per the on call rota.
Main duties of the job
This job plan is a 10 PA job plan for an average of 8.5 PAs for DCC (including 1 PA per week for on-call) and 1.5 PAs for SPA. There is the possibility of additional PAs (e.g. Leadership roles) being available but this is by mutual agreement with the successful applicant and will be discussed at the job planning meeting that will take place within three months of commencement.
Week 3 includes a 24 hour on call
Week 6 includes Friday evening 5pm until 8am Saturday on call
Week 12 will include on call 8am Saturday - 5pm Monday
Departmental Mortality and Morbidity/ Clinical Governance Meetings will take place on variable days once a month for half a day in place of the days usual activity.
Consultants have even equitable spread of activity.

Job summary
This role is for candidates looking to specialise themselves within the diabetesspecialist nursing mainly the in-patients services. We are at the forefront of advances in diabetes care and provide number of specialist services. The Diabetes centre at CHFT deliver specialist diabetes care to people with complex needs which includes running weekly Antenatal clinics, weekly foot clinics, insulin pump clinics, Transition clinics and providing excellent in-patient diabetes services. We work very closely with all the members of the multi-disciplinary team which includes Diabetes consultants, Renal & Surgical consultants, diabetes dietitians and our diabetes foot team. We are a well-established DAFNE and Insulin Pump Centre and providing integrated diabetes services, working in close partnership with our Primary Care Team. The diabetes in-patient service continues to expand in response to the increasing number of people with diabetes.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed nurse who wishes to extend their expertise in this field and be a part of this innovative service. A commitment to further learning and development is required. Applicants must be a Level 1 registered nurse. Experience in care of people with diabetes is desirable, however not essential. The role will require the successful applicant to become proficient in assessment, counselling and teaching skills. The successful candidate must be passionate about working together with people with diabetes and their families. You will also provide comprehensive, evidence-based diabetes care for people with diabetes mainly Inpatients and support health care professionals. You must be able to support the implementation of changes in practice and have the ability to work collaboratively at all levels and across disciplines and agencies. You will need to be passionate about nursing and the important contribution nurses make for patients, carers and family.

Job summary

Job summary
1. To work as an experienced, SVT accredited Clinical Vascular Scientist able to work unsupervised and autonomously to perform a wide range of vascular diagnostic investigations selecting appropriate methods depending on patient need

Applications are invited for a 7-month locally employed doctor post within the department of Acute General Medicine (AGM) and Gastroenterology at the Horton Hospital. This post is an exciting opportunity for an energetic, forward-thinking trainee, who wishes to develop higher level clinical skills in AGM and gastroenterology within an active district general hospital, taking full advantage of the links held with other Oxford teaching hospitals and university institutions. The post will be for 7 months in total depending on a 3month probationary period to ensure that the job and person are the correct fit. By 3 months, we would expect engagement in a training portfolio process with satisfactory work placed based assessments, as well as supportive feedback from placement supervision groups.
Main duties of the job
The post is aimed at senior medical doctors (those who have completed MRCP) and should appeal to those who not only wish to pursue a career AGM and/or gastroenterology, but also Anaesthetics, Emergency Medicine or Intensive Care Medicine. This post is not recognized for postgraduate medical training but will allow competencies to be gained that may count towards eventual CESR accreditation or competency based CCT. Main duties of the job
The role will involve being the allocated key worker (formerly known as Care Coordinator) for a caseload of patients with severe and enduring mental illness. You will also be expected to undertake bio-psycho-social assessments for patients referred to the team, and this may include offering brief evidence based interventions for up to eight weeks, ensuring to work in partnership with service users and their families/carers to ensure the development of a treatment plan to facilitate their safety, promote their well-being and support their independence and inclusion in the community.

Paediatric Diabetes is a small, dedicated team within the Paediatric Service, comprising a Consultant Paediatric Diabetes Lead, PDSNs', Children's' Paediatric Specialist Dietitian, Child Psychologist, and administration support.
