Reference: 173-46126-EDRS
Job summary
A rare and exciting opportunity has come up for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist who has an interest in working in the community with people with complex mental health problems. You would be working within a multi-disciplinary team of mental health nurses, social work, psychology and psychiatrists
The Assertive Outreach Team (AOT) works with service users in the community who experience psychosis as their main issue, have not been able to engage with mental health services and have had repeated admissions to hospitals.
AOT operates with a team approach to flexibly and responsively support this group of service users in their mental health recovery and the OT role in the team is an essential component of this. As a band 5 in the team, you would not be acting as a care co-ordinator; therefore most of your time is set aside purely to deliver OT interventions with this client group.
We are looking for somebody who is passionate about the core values of Occupational Therapy in mental health, is confident working with a range of diverse service users and environments out in the community, and enjoys being part of a team. There is a well-established community group programme within the service, which you would be an integral part of facilitating and evaluating, as well as important link working with other mental health providers in the city.
Main duties of the job
We work with a client group who can be challenging and come with risk backgrounds which can leave them to be excluded from opportunities. The band 5 OT has an important function to try and work creatively with these factors to help promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for people who can often be left out. A good understanding around the concept of therapeutic risk taking is important- there is a very supportive and experienced MDT, and you would be supervised by a band 6 OT in the team.
AOT are one team that forms the Complex Psychosis Pathway (CPP) along with Newsam Ward 5 (Level 2 Rehab & relocating to Parkside Lodge), Asket Croft and Asket House inpatient settings, (Level 1 Rehab), and the Community Rehabilitation Team
We would welcome any interested applicants to have a discussion either over the phone or to come and visit the team to find out more.

Job summary
University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is delighted to offer a fantastic opportunity to work with us.
Job Title: Consultant in Medical Microbiology
Start Date: October 2026 but depends upon candidate
Contract Type: Fixed term
Duration: 6 months with a possible extension to 12 months
Purpose for Fixed Term: Short term funding
Further details about the role can be found in the job description below.
Main duties of the job
We are looking to recruit a Locum Consultant in Medical Microbiology +/- Infectious Diseases to an 8PA post based at University Hospital Southampton (UHS) NHS Foundation Trust. There is flexibility in the start date depending upon individual requirements. The post is initially for 6 months with an option to extend to 1 year. We aim to convert this into a permanent post in due course. As part of our team, you will work collaboratively with colleagues, helping to deliver excellent services and ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
You will join the Integrated Department of Infection, whose clinical services include an inpatient and outpatient Infectious Diseases service providing end-to-end care for patients with complex infections, Medical Microbiology, Medical Virology, Infection Prevention and Control, OPAT and a 24/7 on-call Microbiology service. It is envisaged that you will work predominantly within Medical Microbiology with the opportunity to be involved in the OPAT service for an appropriately qualified candidate.
UHS provides both secondary and tertiary care to the population of Southampton, as well as to approximately three million people across Wessex. The Trust is a leading centre for Infectious Diseases research, including metagenomics, and is a key partner in the Southern Counties Pathology network.
About us
As one of the largest acute teaching Trusts in England, we offer learning and development opportunities to help you achieve the career you aspire to. UHS is rated 'Good' by the CQC and in the latest national NHS Staff Survey, we were in the top 10 acute trusts for staff engagement and for staff recommending the hospital as a place to work or receive care.
We support flexible working and will consider requests taking into account the needs of the service. UHS employees are able to access a range of NHS discounts, are entitled to a minimum of 35 days paid holiday (pro rata), and we offer a generous pension scheme.
Southampton is an attractive place to live and work situated on the south coast, with an international airport and direct trains to London. The New Forest National Park and beaches of the Jurassic coast are also right on our doorstep. The city offers living costs 30% lower than London and 17 schools rated outstanding by Ofsted.
We believe that using technology wisely shows strong time management and commitment to innovation. However, personalising your recruitment application to highlight your unique skills and experiences is crucial. Relying too heavily on generic, AI-generated content instead of drawing from your own strengths and accomplishments may lead to your application being rejected if multiple candidates present identical or similar information.

Job summary
Are you looking for the opportunity to join a well-organised, friendly and forward-thinking Wiltshire training practice?
Would you like the chance to develop an interest in any of our additional services? Delivering GP care to a local large co-educational boarding school or involvement with medical services for an inpatient eating disorder unit perhaps?
We offer a competitive salary, reimbursement of indemnity fees, 6 weeks of annual leave plus 1 week of study leave (pro rata) and ongoing mentorship with one of our Partners.
KAMP would welcome GPs at any stage of their career so if we have piqued your interest please give us a call or contact us via email for a chat and to discuss this opportunity further.
Main duties of the job
Kennet and Avon Medical Partnership is looking for a Salaried GP to start as soon as possible, and we are happy to be flexible regarding the number and timing of sessions and working patterns for the right candidate.
Keeping our workload manageable is important to us. Duty sessions are well supported by an excellent team of Nurse Practitioners and Paramedics, who undertake the majority of home visits. Workload is protected with pathology results and post all dealt with on your days off. Our very capable non-clinical team support GPs with the growing admin burden of processing letters, etc.

The practice is situated within the heart of the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty; has a range of excellent local schools and is close to the M4 and mainline railway services to London and the rest of the country.
We're a friendly supportive team of 9 Partners, 3 Salaried GPs, 1 Retained GP and a GP Registrar. The wider multidisciplinary team within the practice includes Nurse Practitioners (who looks after our care homes), Paramedics (who undertake almost all accute home visits), Triage Nurses, First Contact Physiotherapist, Practice Nurses (who specialise in long term conditions management), Clinical Pharmacists, Social Prescribers, a dedicated team caring for over 75s, and Care Co-ordinators.
We would be happy to offer visa sponsorship for the correct candidate.
KAMP has a clear mission to deliver high quality healthcare by happy and motivated staff and to develop a sustainable future for the local community within a framework where all staff and patients are treated with dignity and respect.
