An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Clinical Support Worker within WARD 4We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is keen to work within the acute setting and be a support to both the Clinical Support Workers team and the Nursing team alike.
You will be encouraged and supported to assist with patient care and safety.
This advert will potentially close before advertised date once therequired number of applications have been received.
Main duties of the job
You will have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills and receive structured appraisal, support, mentorship and training.
The main role of the Clinical Support Worker will include providing fundamental nursing care to our inpatients with all activities of daily living, to act in emergency situations and to support the registered nursing staff to deliver a high standard of care to all our patients.
As a Clinical Support Worker you will:
- Direct patient care- this includes all activities
- Work in support of and under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), providing nursing care and assistance to patients within defined parameters specified by the Registered Nurse.
- Perform clinical skills ie. observations, recording blood sugars, ECG etc.
- Record patient information.
- Provide basic patient care and document that care in the patient records.
- Helping to ensure the unit is clean, safe, tidy and a comfortable environment.
- Work effectively with the multidisciplinary team in order to achieve desired outcomes that promote the well being of patients.
- Assist the RN's in the delivery of care to a designated patient group, demonstrating an ability to prioritise such care.
- Assist in the implementation of direct clinical care.
- Determine the comfort of patients by talking and listening to them and building up a rapport.
- Assist in feeding of patients who are unable to do so themselves and complete food charts where necessary.
About us
We operate from three main hospitals - Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community health care premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.
FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.
WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.
All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
Our community services for adults are provided in people's homes, community centres, clinics, GP Practices, community hospitals and our main hospitals. Our aim is to work with people to help them remain independent, improve their health and manage their conditions through high quality care, advice and support.

This new substantive post has been created in response to increasing demand across glaucoma services and will play a vital role in expanding capacity, improving patient access and supporting the Trust's elective recovery ambitions. - Deliver specialist glaucoma clinics and treatment services.

Bassetlaw Hospice is a newly commissioned provider of palliative and end of life services. Bassetlaw Hospice, Retford, North Nottinghamshire has 6 inpatient beds supported clinically by established Advance Clinical Practitioner roles.It also provides clinical nurse specialist support to the community as well as day therapy and outpatient clinics. We work closely with acute medical colleagues to work in innovative ways to ensure we deliver the best possible outcomes for our patients and have recently opened a new Same Day Emergency Care service which is nationally recognised.

We work closely with acute medical colleagues to work in innovative ways to ensure we deliver the best possible outcomes for our patients and have recently opened a new Same Day Emergency Care service which is nationally recognised.
The successful applicant will be expected to participate in teaching both under and postgraduate students associated with the University of Buckingham and will also be expected to support colleagues doing these activities as part of his or her arranged job plan.
The duties of the Senior Clinical Fellow doctor are those of a doctor functioning at the middle grade level within the department. Primary duties include the initial diagnosis, resuscitation and overall clinical management of all patients arriving to the A&E Department. Appropriate follow-up, referral for admission, transfer or discharge to GPs care is an important part of the work along with liaison with colleagues in the community, i.e., GPs, Health Visitors, and District Nurse for the proper continuity of care. There is an opportunity to get involved with teaching simulation- including a bimonthly teaching for the SHOs and Middle grades including multi-disciplinary teaching with other specialties.
It is expected that you will supervise the junior doctors in the department whilst working on the shop floor, advising and reviewing their patients as necessary.

This post is within the Kent Oncology Centre, based in Maidstone, providing services to patients from West Kent.
The post holder will join our team of medical and clinical oncologists to take a major interest in Urology, providing Oncology services from a West Kent base.
As a member of the Kent Oncology Centre, there will be a commitment to participate fully in a Kent-wide approach to the delivery of cancer care. This includes attendance at governance meetings, multi-disciplinary team meetings and the practice of cross-referral with other site specialists.
Main duties of the job
To provide a high standard of care to any patient for whom you have clinical responsibility. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic multidisciplinary team providing intensive community support to adults with learning disabilities who are experiencing mental health crises, behaviours that challenge, or increased risks that could lead to unnecessary hospital admission. You will have experience working with people with learning disabilities, autism and/or mental health needs in a health or social care setting. You will also have:
- A relevant Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (or equivalent ).

Main duties of the job
As a Band 4 Clinical Assistant, you will work alongside learning disability nurses, Mental Health Nurses, psychologists, psychiatrists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists and other health and social care professionals to deliver high-quality, evidence-based interventions in community settings.
The service operates 7 days a week between 8:00am and 8:00pm, and you will participate in a flexible rota that includes weekends and bank holidays.

Contribute to the implementation and administration of computer data collection systems ensuring information is recorded accurately and on a regular and timely basis.
To ensure the provision of an effective and efficient secretarial and administrative support to the wider clinical team including dealing with telephone enquiries, relatives, GP'S, social workers and other agencies maintaining good communication between all of the Adult Inpatient Teams and Services.
To maintain and co-ordinate annual leave and study leave for the Consultants ensuring the service is adequately covered.
When required to maintain confidential files concerning patients' correspondence, reports and departmental matters in line with NHS procedures
To collect and submit statistical returns for the teams.
To maintain up to date data scanning and filing system and provide statistics as and when required.

Job summary
Are you a relational therapist/counsellor looking to be part of an innovative and dynamic Talking Therapies service, joining part of an already well established Relational Therapies Team? The post holder will provide high intensity therapies to patients who have experienced anxiety disorders and depression as a result of relational difficulties. They will also have the opportunity to undertake Talking Therapies compliant training to qualify in an accreditable specific relational modality.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to carry out telephone and face to face assessments, individual and group work as part of their case load. We value experience of delivering therapy in a group format as well as being dual trained in more than one modality.
The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and work in various community settings (including GP surgeries) and psychological treatment centres or Children's Centres. At present, the majority of clinical work is delivered remotely, with a small provision of face-to-face contacts being offered from our clinical bases across the county.
As a Talking Therapies service we seek to provide ease of access for service users and to this end there will be a requirement to work flexible hours between 8am and 8 pm based on service requirements, including one late evening per week.
Whilst this post is based in Bedfordshire you may, at times, be required to provide cover and assistance to other East London Foundation Trust Talking Therapies teams, for example supervision by the medium of Teams, cross service trainings, etc.

Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust are seeking to recruit a Band 5 (developmental) or Band 6 Community Mental Health Nurse to work our well-established Ferndown and West Moors Older Persons Community Mental Health Team.
If you are a RMN with experience working with people suffering severe mental illness whether this be inpatient, or community based we would love to hear from you.
This post is 30 hours per week (non working day must be a Tuesday or Thursday). This post is being extended to allow for applications from newly qualified nurses, or those practitioners currently working at a Band 5 and looking to develop with support towards a Band 6 whilst working in the community.
The Service is a specialist team providing assessment, treatment and support for individuals suffering from organic and functional mental health illness. Experience of working with older adults with organic/functional mental illness in an inpatient or community setting would be an advantage.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, self-motivated and hard-working, with a positive approach to delivering high quality care to patients and be willing to work collaboratively with carers and other professionals. You will carry a defined caseload and manage this with the support of the team leader and the wider team.
Main duties of the job
We work with a multitude of services across Ferndown and West Moors and surrounding areas to ensure the mental health needs of the older adult population is met.
We are a busy CMHT and we are looking for someone who is reliable, committed and motivated with excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to prioritise their caseload whilst balancing service demands. In return we are ready to offer you comprehensive and structured management supervision, management you can approach any time and peer support.
The post holders will work as part of an established integrated multi-disciplinary team. This team is made up of a Psychiatrists, Occupational Therapists, Clinical Psychologists, Nursing staff, Support Time Recovery Workers and Business Support Team.
The primary role responsibility is to act as dedicated Care Coordinator for a caseload of patients with whom you would provide person centred, holistic care to assist in aiding their wellbeing and recovery.

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Community Consultant in General Adult Psychiatry to join the Stafford Integrated Mental Health Team (IMHT) based in Stafford.
This role is part of a functionalised model in which patients requiring inpatient care, crisis or home treatment have their care temporarily transferred to the relevant pathway.

Main duties of the job
- To support the triage and assessments of individuals who referred into the service alongside the wider multi-disciplinary team that includes community mental health nurses, psychology, consultant psychiatrist, occupational therapists, peer support (lived experience) workers, health care support workers and housing and financial advisors.
- You will be responsible for undertaking assessments individually, alongside the wider team and/or alongside our partners in order to establish the person's goals, needs, risks and strengths to generate a formulation based plan of care with the individual and their support network
- You will alongside wider colleagues in the team acting as a point of contact to provide clinical advice and guidance to patients and families where needed, as well as partner services for those being referred to the service
- There will be opportunity where felt appropriate to provide brief interventions to individuals referred into the service to support their recovery and where it may prevent a need for more long term involvement from the service.
- As part of the local mental health alliance network you will have opportunity to attend our weekly meetings to provide opportunity to look at how best as services we can work together to support individuals who are presenting with multiple needs, risks and complexity. Job summary
First Contact Mental Health appointments provided to patients registered at our four practices. Offering initial review, onward referral to external service providers, appropriate prescribing eg SSRIs and follow-up appointments. This is a new position within the PCN structure and would work alongside existing mental health services offered. Although we would welcome candidates with previous Mental Health experience, this is not necessarily required. Main duties of the job
Assessing patients experiencing mental health concerns in a primary care setting. This will be face to face in clinic or via telephone consultation but will not include home visits
