Main duties of the job

The post holder will have overall accountability for the day to day management of the nursing service across the Whipps Cross Hospital Dermatology Outpatients department. We are excited to announce a new opportunity for an experienced Critical Care Nurse to join our dedicated team as a band 7 Senior Sister/Senior Charge Nurse in our world class Adult Critical Care Unit at St Bartholomew's Hospital.

We care for patients following complex cardiac, aortovascular, and thoracic surgery, complex cardiology, with one of the busiest Heart Attack Centres in Europe, ECMO and Oncology patients within our specialist centre. We have 50 critical care beds across 4 areas - with rotations available between the units. We have plans to expand our bed base making it an exciting time to join our team!

Must be able to work a mixture of long days, bank holidays and nights to meet service requirements.

Main duties of the job

To provide the highest standard of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individualised, holistic patient care in conjunction with the inter-professional team.

As a proficient practitioner in critical care, the post holder acts as a professional role model and clinical teacher. They will also provide effective mentorship and supervision, participating in the education and training of nursing and non-nursing staff.

Main duties of the job

The job involves working in the Community Persistent Pain Management Service, based at Whipps Cross University Hospital in Waltham Forest. There will be an opportunity to develop assessment skills by observation of Clinical Psychologist.

As with other roles, the qualified Clinical Psychologist will retain clinical responsibility for clinical work carried out, provided that the clinical work is within the care plan specified.

The post holder will also be involved in the Pain Education sessions and Pain Management Programme, by adding to the discussions and presenting some material under supervision.

There will also be involvement in developing service resources and managing waiting lists, audit, service evaluation and research. Specific duties will be determined on the basis of skills and experience and operational service requirements, which may vary occasionally as service needs and priorities change.The main approaches used in the service are Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy and Systemic approaches. The post holder will receive 30 minutes' supervision every week but will also have an opportunity for informal supervision while joint working.

Clinical Fellow - Job Advert (12 Month - Maternity Leave)

This is one-year post with a possibility of extension for a second year depending on clinical and research assessment.

The post holder will be trained in all aspects of general fertility and assisted reproductive technology (ART). Activities will include outpatient assessment, ultrasound scanning, monitoring of ART treatment (ovulation induction, intrauterine insemination, IVF treatment, ICSI, ovum donation, surrogacy etc), transvaginal oocyte retrievals and tubal patency assessment; including hysterosalpingograms and Hycosys. The Radiotherapy Department is state-of-the-art, housed in a modern, custom-designed building in the heart of the City of London. It has five linear accelerators and a Cyberknife and is supported by a team of 41 Therapy Radiographers. Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Specialist Medicine Dietitian to join our friendly and enthusiastic Adult Dietetics Department at the Royal London Hospital.

The position offers an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and ambitious Dietitian to lead the Dietetics service for Specialist Medicine and provide complex nutritional support on the specialist medicine wards. This includes a number of specialist areas including infection and immunity, complex endocrinology and respiratory. The successful candidate should have expert knowledge and experience within the area complex nutrition support and should be able to provide advice for parenteral nutrition. Preferably the successful candiate will also have experience working with people with complex mental health and social needs including exposure to people with eating disorders.

We are looking for applicants who are extremely motivated and hard-working with previous experience of managing a very busy caseload along with experience of leadership and successful line management. There is scope to expand and develop the services and the successful candidate is expected to engage and lead in service development. Excellent communication skills and multidisciplinary working is required. Evidence of undertaking quality improvement initiatives and service development is also essential.

Main duties of the job

To be the lead dietitian for dietetic interventions within specialist medicine - this includes infectious diseases and immunity, endocrinology, respiratory medicine and care of the elderly.

To support the Clinical Lead Dietitian with provision, performance and development of the specialist medicine dietetic service.

To be responsible for providing expert level dietetic assessment, treatment and advice to a specialist caseload with complex nutritional support requirements including complicated endocrinology, infection and immunity, HIV, respiratory diseases and cardiology. This may include enteral and parenteral nutritional support.

To support junior dietitians in the provision of dietetic support within these clinical areas, and to assist their development and career progression through supervision, one to ones and training.

To use advanced clinical reasoning skills to provide specialist support and advice to dietetic and other clinical staff within Barts Health.

Working within the multidisciplinary team to provide an effective dietetic service to a variety of medical patients. This includes initiating and engaging in best interest discussions for patients who lack capacity.

To be responsible for planning and delivering specialist nutrition training to medical staff, nurses and students and other health care professionals on intensive care.

Partake in the development of trust wide policies, protocol and guidelines.

Applications are invited for Clinical Fellow posts in Critical Care Medicine at The Royal London Hospital (RLH), part of Barts Health NHS Trust, for trainees at ST4+ level or equivalent.

RLH is home to one of the busiest and most dynamic critical care units in London: a 44-bed general ICU/HDU on the 4th floor, alongside a further 12-bed post-operative surgical HDU on the 3rd floor. The unit manages a broad case-mix, including tertiary referrals in Neurology, Gastroenterology, Hepatology, Renal and Stroke Medicine, high-risk surgical patients, and major trauma, supported by London's HEMS base and a busy Emergency Department.

Main duties of the job

There are 2 types of posts. The first are 12 month long Specialist ICM posts with interests in either Trauma or Critical Care Follow up. The holders of these posts will receive dedicated clinical time to pursue projects related to these sub-specialty interests. The second are 18 month long CESR posts for trainees with significant experience in Anaesthesia (minimum 2 years) and Critical Care medicine. These posts offer the possibility to achieve documentary evidence in 11 of the 14 HiLos required for CESR accreditation in Intensive Care Medicine with the GMC. The 18 months would include 12 months General, Neuro and Trauma Adult Critical Care on the Adult Critical Care Unit at RLH, 3 months of Paediatric Critical Care at the PICU in RLH, and 3 months of Cardiac Critical Care ate Barts Hospital.

Job summary

We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, ambitious and motivated Diagnostic Radiographer to join our highly skilled and friendly imaging team, delivering excellent patient care at Barts Health NHS Trust.

Applicants must hold a BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or the Diploma of the College of Radiographers, or an equivalent recognised qualification. Applicants must also be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

The post holder will be required to participate in the department's 24/7, 365-day Agenda for Change (AfC) shift pattern, including out-of-hours, weekend and night working as required.

We welcome applications from both experienced Band 5 radiographers and newly qualified radiographers looking to begin and develop their careers within a large, diverse and supportive NHS organisation.

Main duties of the job

• The successful candidate will have the opportunity to consolidate and develop their radiographic skills while working as part of an experienced and supportive multidisciplinary team.
• Working within a multi-disciplinary team the post-holder will contribute to the safe and effective running of the imaging department and will be able to perform a wide range of x-ray examinations to a high standard.
• The post holder will be required to rotate through ED and general x-ray, fluoroscopy, and theatres and they will participate in the delivery of a 24/7, 365 service. The post holder will offer supervision to assistant practitioners, imaging assistants, students/apprentices and visitors to the imaging department.
• The post holder will ensure patient flow in the trust by actively participating in the the flow of emergency and in-patients to ensure same day imaging.
• The post holder will be key in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and experience. The post holder at all time will demonstrate a high level of professionalism and act in accordance with the HCPC standards of proficiency. Furthermore, they are expected to establish and maintain positive interpersonal relationships with other staff members characterized by trust, mutual respect and open, honest communication.
