Main duties of the job
Main Duties of the Patient Facilitator - Andrew Ward ? Core Purpose
The Patient Facilitator supports the wellbeing, comfort, and experience of patients on Andrew Ward through meaningful interaction, therapeutic engagement, and compassionate communication.
Key Responsibilities-
Distraction Interaction -- Provide patients with engaging activities such as conversation, art, games, sensory stimulation, and time in communal spaces to reduce boredom, anxiety, and isolation.

Mealtime Support -- Assist patients during meal times by offering encouragement, ensuring they have appropriate support, and helping them access drinks throughout the day to maintain hydration and comfort.

Patient Voice & Advocacy -- Ensure patients feel heard and valued during their hospital stay by listening to their concerns, preferences, and wishes, and communicating these to the wider multidisciplinary team.

'This Is Me' Documentation -- Support patients in completing their personal "This Is Me" documentation to help staff understand their background, preferences, routines, and individual needs.

Family Liaison -- Communicate with families to understand and uphold patient wishes, ensuring relatives feel informed, involved, and reassured.

Activity Planning -- Create and deliver activity days that bring variety, stimulation, and enjoyment to patients, helping break up long periods spent within the bay area

You will hold a registered mental health nurse qualification and be able to demonstrate post registration experience at Band 6. You will need to provide evidence of continual professional development.
The teams provide a planned needs lead 9am-5pm five days a week service. The hours are 22.5 hours per week.

Grey Gable Surgery is a multi-disciplinary team with two GP directors. We are a GP training practice based in Inkberrow Worcestershire. The practice has easy access to Worcester, Bromsgrove, Redditch, Evesham and Pershore.

Main duties of the job

These posts provide an opportunity to develop Gastroenterology practice in a state of the art Endoscopy facility at one of the world's leading teaching hospitals, or in IBD care working alongside a world leading team of expert IBD clinicians.
Main duties of the job
The IBD post holder will have the opportunity to gain exposure to all aspects of management of a cohort of around 7,000 patients, including IBD clinics, Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings, joint clinics with colorectal surgeons, cross-specialty MDTs, IBD endoscopy and clinical trials. Working closely with IBD Consultants, the successful candidate will also support the wider Multi-Disciplinary Team, including Specialist Nurses, Pharmacists, Dietitians, Psychologists and dedicated Administrative Staff.
Successful applicant for the Endoscopy post will have the opportunity to develop skills in Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy through service, training and research lists. The primary focus is Therapeutic Endoscopy training. Subject to individual interests and departmental capacity, training may be available in EUS, ERCP or Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy, including EMR, Dilatation, Botox injection, stenting, Balloon Enteroscopy and Video Capsule Endoscopy.

Job summary
This is a replacement Consultant post. The remit of the post holder will be to work within the multi-disciplinary team providing and further developing care for stroke and TIA patients. In addition, the individual will be required to play an active role in the general workload of the Care Group while having a significant commitment to teaching and training of junior staff
Main duties of the job
The post will be based at Princess Royal University Hospital and the proposed Job Plan is attached. This is subject to review within 3 months of the post holder commencing in post.
There is a regular weekday daytime and evening stroke on-call commitment, 1:6 weekend daytime on call rota. We are looking for a highly motivated nurse to join the Experimental Cancer Medicine Team (ECMT) at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust. ECMT supports a growing portfolio of early phase research studies both commercial and investigator led, including first in human drug trials.The post holder will work alongside a team of physicians, research nurses & clinical trial administrators on a portfolio of trials providing support to patients, administering trial treatments & carrying out trial assessments for patients on study.
Research nursing is an exciting and developing role, supported through the R&I division with a good education and development package in place to ensure that staff reach their potential.
Central to this role is the responsibility of assessing and managing the care pathways including the delivery of all specified treatments for participants in research within a multidisciplinary team. Key responsibilities of the post include the coordination of the trial protocols and support for cancer patients.
A background in oncology, flexibility in working, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Experience in clinical research would be desirable but not essential.An informal discussion about the post is strongly recommended with the possibility to spend some time with the team to understand better the requirement of the role.

Main duties of the job
The CRN will be involved in every stage of the portfolio activities including feasibility reviews of new clinical trial opportunities, set-up and activation of new trials, patient recruitment and management, supporting team with data query resolution, reviewing protocol amendments, providing patient-centred insights to the research delivery team by supporting both the patients and the team through all aspects of clinical research of the portfolio.
With support from the team the CRN will ensure that the safety and wellbeing of the patients is maintained within the requirement of the multi-regulatory frameworks for clinical research ensuring compliance with ICH/GCP standards and Trust SOPs.
Line management responsibility for junior staff including supporting them in ensuring research data is collected with compliance to GCP and other regulatory legislation.

Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to train in adult congenital heart disease catheter intervention. The fellowship is for 12 months, extendable up to 24 months and will be based mainly at the Bristol Heart Institute (BHI). There may be access to some sessions in the paediatric cardiac catheterisation laboratory depending on the successful applicant's experience and training needs.
The adult congenital heart disease (ACHD) catheter interventional service has one of the highest case volumes in the UK and offers the whole range of procedures. The team have been at the forefront of innovation in congenital cardiac catheterisation as well as early adopters of new technology and procedures.
The ACHD interventional cardiology team consists of three interventional consultants, supported by two peri-procedural imaging consultants and a cath lab team of skilled nurses, physiologists and radiographers.
The ACHD team consists of 5 full-time ACHD Consultant Cardiologists, 4 congenital cardiac surgeons, 3 ACHD clinical fellows, 4 specialist ACHD nurses, an MDT co-ordinator and full admin support. The unit is closely linked with adult cardiac services and the Paediatric Cardiology Services at the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children.
Main duties of the job
The BHI provides secondary and tertiary cardiac services in a purpose-built environment, with an outpatient department, 3 cardiology wards, a coronary care unit, a cardiac daycase unit, a cardiac intensive care unit, 5 dedicated catheterisation labs (including a bi-plane lab), a full range of imaging facilities and full cardiac surgical programme. We provide congenital heart disease services for approximately 6 million people throughout the south-west of England with additional interventional services for South Wales.
This post is suitable for senior trainees in cardiology or trainees who have completed their training who would like to develop their skills in congenital cardiac catheterisation. Experience in cath lab interventions (congenital, structural or coronary) is mandatory as this is a senior role, designed to train the successful appointee so that they can embark on a consultant career in this field. Skills in echocardiography and an understanding of transoesophageal echo are mandatory. There will be no on call commitment included in this role.
The successful appointee will have the following duties: Two/ three whole days in the cath lab, two weekly outpatient clinics, weekly ACHD multidisciplinary team meeting. They will be expected to liasie with and work closely with Admissions, Clinical Nurse Specialist and National data audit teams. They will be expected to take part in departmental audits and there may be opportunities for research.

We are offering an opportunity for an enthusiastic registered Dosimetrist/Treatment Planning Radiographer to join our Radiotherapy Physics team, at the Cancer Centre in Cottingham, East Yorkshire.
The successful applicant will join the Radiotherapy Treatment Planning team, a section of Radiotherapy Physics that underpins the Radiotherapy service, which is located in an award-winning facility comprising 6 Linacs, 2 CT scanners, Xstrahl SXR, Papillon-50+ SXR, Flexitron HDR and state-of-the-art Varian (Eclipse) treatment planning system.
You will be joining an established team of Healthcare Science professionals, comprising Clinical Scientists and Technologists, and support staff. The team prides itself on high staff retention and has a pragmatic approach to achieving safe and effective service delivery. We are committed to providing a broad scope for the development of all members of staff.
The department was the first Radiotherapy Centre in the North of England to clinically implement the Varian Halcyon linac, to develop and benefit the patient service, and now has 2 of these units. A Varian TrueBeam has recently been installed, to bring the complement to 4. In addition the department has recently installed SGRT across the fleet.
Main duties of the job
Building effective relationships with the multidisciplinary Radiotherapy department, and supporting the Lead Dosimetrist and wider planning team in the provision of the Radiotherapy Treatment Planning and Mould Room service, will be fundamental to achieving the high standards expected from this role.
The department has long-standing evidence of research and collaboration, developments in equipment and clinical service, and high commitment to quality and governance; these include implementation of a new and novel image guided treatment for the direct irradiation of rectal cancers using electronic brachytherapy, innovative use of VMAT, 4DCT and image guided treatment techniques.
Our commitment to the utilisation of technology includes the advanced use of electronic quality management systems and extensive use of the Varian ARIA system, which have allowed us to implement innovative process management and paperless working. The department was the first Radiotherapy Physics service to gain UKAS accreditation to the emerging BS70000 MPACE quality standard, evidencing that commitment to the delivery of high-quality clinical service is a core value of the team, and we continue to maintain ISO9001 certification for the entire Radiotherapy service.

Job Purpose
The Social Prescriber will work as part of the multidisciplinary PCN team to support patients with non-medical needs that impact their health and wellbeing. The role involves person-centred conversations, identifying what matters to people, and connecting them to community-based support, voluntary services, and local resources across the PCN footprint.
The post holder will work across five GP practices, ensuring equitable access to social prescribing services for patients and supporting population health priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Support

Job summary
The PCN Pharmacy Technician will support medicines optimisation and safe, effective prescribing across five GP practices within the PCN. Main duties of the job
- Support repeat prescribing processes in line with local and national guidance
- Carry out medication reviews under the supervision of a clinical pharmacist or GP (where appropriate)
- Identify and resolve medicines-related issues, including:
- Over- or under-ordering
- Synchronisation of repeat medicines
- Medicines adherence concerns
- Support medicines reconciliation following hospital discharge and outpatient clinic letters
- Review and action prescribing tasks, queries, and workflows
- Support cost-effective prescribing and medicines optimisation initiative.
- Respond to medicines-related patient queries (telephone, online, or face-to-face)
- Support structured medication reviews (SMRs) by gathering relevant information
