Job summary
L5 are looking for a highly motivated Activity Coordinator.
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our highly acclaimed and well-established team on Ward L5 as an Activity Coordinator.
As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will help deliver and encourage our patients to participate in socially interactive activities.
You will identify a varied and interesting activity programme for our patients. You will document the engagement to activities by the service users and record in the electronic patient record (EPR).
You will ensure the activities available on the ward are appropriate for the patients. You will support alongside the nursing team to ensure patient fundamental care needs are met and dignity is maintained.
You will actively be involved fundraising for the ward with support from senior staff.
You will network with appropriate and relevant partners and agencies to promote healthy relationships between community and acute services.
You will actively lead publicising the activities and monthly campaigns on the ward.
You will contribute to the maintaining a safe and effective working environment being assigned duties from the Ward Manager.
Main duties of the job
With support from then nursing team you will contribute to providing a range of social interaction and well-being activities, e.g., activity groups, and on an individual basis, with minimal supervision.
In collaboration with the patients and the ward manager maintain and develop the activity timetable for the ward and for each patient on an individual basis.
Document all engagement in the patient electronic notes to ensure the clinical team is kept up to date with patient participation in activities.
Contribute to the regular updating of individual activity timetables for patient which offer a range of activities on an individual and group basis dependent on the patients needs. This can be subject to regular change.
Demonstrate safe and competent moving and handling skills, asking for support with complex cases. Undertake safe and competent equipment provision for stock items, asking for support with non-stock needs.
You will support learners in the workplace by providing an opportunity for shadowing with the activity co-ordinator to observe activities being planned and delivered.

At Salford we currently have 23 clinical areas over two floors covering major complex Neurosurgical and Spinal Surgery, Renal access surgery, Pain Service, complex ENT procedures, Neuro X Ray including a 24 hour stroke service, MR Scan supporting scans for complex patients requiring general anaesthetic, General surgical procedures including upper and lower GI, Gynaecology and Urology, Orthopaedics, as well as two 24 hour emergency theatres.
- Salford Royal is one of the largest neurosurgical centres in the UK, carrying out some of the most complex neurosurgical procedures in the country
- The home of the Greater Manchester Major Trauma Hospital
- Salford Royal leads on Intestinal failure reconstruction in the UK
- One of the leading for surgery and development including investment in robotic surgery
The off duty covers a 7 day week using early and late shifts running from 07:30 to 20:00 with emergencies running 24/7. Due to the nature of the specialities variation to shift patterns may be required; some rotation onto nights will be a future development. Shift patterns can be discussed at interview.We are committed to lifelong learning through our learning and development team.
Main duties of the job
You will work as part of the multidisciplinary theatre team, rotating between Anaesthetics and the Post-Anaesthetic (Recovery) according to service and patient needs. You will contribute to the delivery of a safe, effective and seamless service for patients throughout their theatre journey.
You will provide high-quality, compassionate and patient-centred care in accordance with Trust policies, professional standards and agreed clinical competencies. You will assess, plan, deliver and evaluate individualised care, recognising and responding appropriately to any change or deterioration in a patient's condition.
Effective communication and collaborative working are essential to this role. You will work with patients, anaesthetists, surgeons, theatre colleagues and the wider multidisciplinary team to support safe, efficient care. You will maintain accurate clinical records and ensure that relevant information is communicated promptly and appropriately.
As an experienced practitioner, you will act as a positive role model and support junior colleagues, newly appointed staff and students. You will contribute to a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment, helping colleagues to develop their knowledge, confidence and clinical competence.
Applicants must be a Registered Operating Department Practitioner or Registered Nurse with the relevant qualifications. Where development is required in either area, you will be expected to engage with the relevant training.

Our Service

The role offers the opportunity to apply advanced dysphagia skills within a holistic framework, working closely with families and carers to support safe, functional, and meaningful eating and drinking in everyday environments.
We serve children and families across the West Essex area (Uttlesford, Harlow and Epping Forest), working in partnership with local communities, schools, and services to deliver responsive and accessible care.
As part of an integrated service, we work closely with a wide multidisciplinary team. We routinely liaise with consultant paediatricians, community nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, health visitors. The role also involves liaison with external services. We are a supportive and collaborative team who value clinical excellence, curiosity, and reflective practice. We strive to create an environment where clinicians feel supported, valued, and able to develop their specialist skills while maintaining a healthy worklife balance.
Job Responsibilities
This is a community-based post, with the majority of clinical work taking place in service users homes and across mainstream and specialist educational settings. It is essential that you hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to a car for work purposes.
The post holder will be responsible for:
- Leading on the development of the dysphagia service with paediatric dysphagia colleague
- Leading and supporting therapists and assistants working within the dysphagia team
- Line management of designated colleagues within the SLT team

Phlebotomist provide high standard of cleanliness whichis imperative in our daily routine.

The department of Acute Medicine at West Middlesex University Hospital are looking to recruit an additional consultant to compliment the well-established and forward thinking team. The successful candidate will broaden the collective skill set and will actively contribute to, and support true multi-disciplinary working in line with the Royal College of Physicians and the Department of Health's strategy for modernising acute care within the NHS.
Main duties of the job
The Acute Assessment Unit (AMU) at West Middlesex University Hospital is comprised of 64-beds; 58 inpatient beds & 6 enhanced care beds.Telemetry is provided for those patients requiring it and the ITU is located on the same floor. The Ambulatory Emergency Care (AEC) unit offers high quality same-day emergency care (SDEC) and is comprised of a trolley-based area for assessment and treatment; treatment chairs & rooms - alongside allocated outpatient clinic space.
Emergency medical admissions are rapidly assessed in the Emergency Department and then if admission is required, directly transferred to the AMU for further management. All cases, unless requiring CCU or critical care, are managed on the Unit until discharged back to the community or transferred for further in-patient care to the appropriate speciality area.

In this rewarding role, you will manage a varied community caseload of children and young people aged 0-18 years, supporting them and their families across a range of settings. You will provide assessment, intervention, consultation and training through clinic appointments, educational setting visits and home visits, helping children achieve their communication potential.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Senior Developer to join the Transaction Services team within Primary Care Services (PCS), NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership (NWSSP).
The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, development, maintenance and support of business-critical systems that support the prescribing, dispensing and management of medicines and devices across primary and secondary care settings in NHS Wales. Job summary
The post is for an Urgent Community Response therapist who will have extensive clinicalskills required to help support people in their usual place of residence with an urgent healthcareneed (within 2 hours) which will involve an assessment and short-term interventions.
The post holder will also work in partnership with 111, 999, community teams, care homes, socialcare staff and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide appropriate patient focused care.There is an opportunity to rotate between Integrated Community Services and Integrated UrgentCare.
This is a part time post of 23 hours per week. This is a fixed term role and for those with current NHS service, the role will be offered on a secondment basis only. Please obtain permission to be released on a secondment before submitting an application.

Main duties of the job
You will be a key member of our UCR service working in a holistic multidisciplinary team including, Paramedic Practitioners, Senior
Physiotherapists/Occupational Therapists, Paramedics and Assistant Practitioners. The service provides a 2-hour response to patients who are experiencing a health crisis with the aim to support them in their own homes (including care homes) rather than being admitted to hospital.
A high level of skill and autonomous decision making is required when assessing, caring and managing the risk for unwell patients in their homes and supporting families and carers. You will work closely with multi- disciplinary colleagues and provide support and guidance for staff.
The post holder will be required to liaise with their team colleagues in the other localities covered by the service to ensure cross cover can beprovided according to demands on the service.
The team works to prevent avoidable hospital admissions, and refers onto local ICRT hubs for on-going intervention to support the patient remaining in their own home.
