This varied and rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a real difference by providing a professional, responsive and efficient service to patients, colleagues and healthcare partners.
Based in Medway, you will manage a range of administrative tasks, including processing clinical correspondence, maintaining patient records and databases, supporting clinic administration and responding to enquiries from patients, clinicians and external healthcare providers. You will review and amend clinical letters generated through our digital dictation system, ensuring they are accurate and ready for distribution. You will also support referrals, imaging requests, MDT outcomes and patient information management, helping services run smoothly and efficiently.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy environment, can prioritise competing demands and deliver excellent customer service.

We're looking for a highly organised and motivated individual with excellent communication and administrative skills. You'll have experience producing professional correspondence, be confident using Microsoft Office applications and have strong attention to detail. The ability to manage competing priorities, maintain accurate records and support a busy team is essential.
You'll provide a professional, friendly and efficient service to patients, clinicians, booking teams and external organisations. You'll confidently manage email and phone enquiries, resolve issues promptly and escalate where required. Strong organisational skills will enable you to maintain databases, coordinate referrals, support clinic administration and ensure actions are completed within required timescales.
You'll be adaptable, reliable and committed to continuous improvement. In return, you'll join a supportive team where your skills and commitment to excellent customer service will make a meaningful contribution to patient care.
If you enjoy building positive relationships, solving problems and keeping processes organised, we would love to hear from you.

For the main duties and responsibilities for this role please read the attached job description and person specification. When completing your application please ensure your supporting statement reflects the criteria set out in these documents by showing how your experience and skills apply to this post.
As part of our vision to have a skilled, diverse and caring workforce, Dorset HealthCare offers support for people getting into work. If you would like or know of anyone who would value this support, please do contact [email protected]
We understand that using AI can be a useful and supportive tool when completing your application. However, we have also seen an increase in the over-reliance of AI tools which is negatively impacting applications as they remove candidates individuality, and it becomes much harder to get a sense of who you are and your authentic experience. If you do use AI, it should be used to enhance your application and not to create your supporting statement in its entirety. If we suspect you have used AI to create your supporting statement and this does not match your experience, we may withdraw your application.

If you would like or know of anyone who would value this support, please do contact [email protected] We understand that using AI can be a useful and supportive tool when completing your application.

Job summary
Please note: at this stage, the role is open only to colleagues currently employed within Kent and Medway NHS Trusts, the Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB) and Medway Community Healthcare or working on the Staff Bank within these organisations. Nursing and AHP vacancies are also open to Student Nurses and Newly Qualified Nurses/AHPs.
Now is the time to be part of a healthcare transformation. The new NHS 10-Year Plan puts community care at the centre of service delivery--shifting resources closer to where people live and promoting prevention over hospital admission.
As a member of a community NHS trust, you'll be at the forefront of this change. Work in integrated neighbourhood teams, delivering joined-up care alongside GPs, mental health professionals, social workers, and voluntary services. Benefit from new roles, clear career pathways, apprenticeships, and personalised development support.
The plan also brings new workforce standards: improved flexible working, mental health support, safe workplaces, and strong protections against discrimination. With greater investment in underserved areas and a focus on reducing health inequalities, your work will have local impact and national importance.
Community trusts are leading the way in digital innovation, using tools like virtual wards to reduce admin and improve patient care.
If you're passionate about making a difference, this is your chance to help deliver a modern, inclusive, and community-focused NHS.
Main duties of the job
Join the Coxheath Community Nursing Service and make a meaningful difference supporting housebound patients across Kent. We deliver personalised, patient-centred care to individuals with complex and long-term conditions, enabling them to remain safe and independent at home. This role offers excellent opportunities todevelop advanced clinical skills, with access to a variety of training to support you in confidently managing a diverse caseload.
Duties will include:

- Medication administration, including IV therapy
- Wound care, such as leg ulcers, post-operative wounds, and drains
- Providing bladder and bowel care
- Supporting health promotion and long-term condition management
We are looking for a compassionate, motivated Band 5 Nurse with a commitment to delivering safe, high-quality care in the community.
Grow your skills, work within a supportive team, and build a rewarding career where you truly make a difference every day
