Job summary
Job overview We are delighted to be able to offer an opportunity for a highly motivated, ambitious individual to join the Intensive Care Medicine team at The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust. This is a 1-year fixed term Specialty Doctor role, in line with the Specialty Doctor Contract 2021. The successful candidate will work within our on-call rotas covering Intensive Care. There will be the opportunity to cover elective surgical lists across the spectrum of clinical anaesthesia in a district general hospital during their time within the department. The duties will include assisting with the care of the patients on the ITU and on-call work, including resuscitation calls. There is the possibility to undertake a full range of obstetric anaesthesia pre, intra and post-operative management of surgical patients within the anaesthesia team during the day, as the rota allows if the successful candidate also has qualifications within anaesthesia. This post will offer training opportunities as per the Royal College of Anaesthetists and the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine training guidance.
Main duties of the job
Main duties of the job Provide expert clinical care in Critical Care Medicine, including managing a 10 bedded busy ICU and HDU department and on-call services. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions in hospital and community settings. Contribute to the development and implementation of integrated clinical guidelines and protocols. Supervise and support junior resident medical staff. Engage in clinical audit, quality improvement, and research activities. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Collaborate with colleagues across departments and external partners.

Job summary
We are looking to recruit a Receptionist/Care Navigator for our busy GP Surgery in Southampton.
You will be working as part of a busy team where you will be the first point of contact for all enquiries. You will be answering the phone to patients, professionals and clinicians and will be a key link within the team. The duties are many and varied and include answering the telephone, covering reception, booking appointments, sorting mail and using Systm1 (an electronic patient record), and working with the workflow and back office teams.

This is a 6 months fixed term post. We have full time (37.5 hours per week) and part time (18 hours per week) contracts available. We require somebody with the ability to work a mixture of early shifts with a 7.45 a.m. start and late shifts with a 6.30 p.m. finish. Answering all incoming telephone calls, booking appointments, dealing with enquiries, and taking messages for staff or providing information to callers as appropriate.
Ensuring all new patients complete relevant paperwork, details are inputted onto TPP Systm1 computer database correctly, and that correct procedures are followed regarding patient notes. Deducting patients as appropriate, printing out summaries and photocopying paper notes.

The Unit admits 800-1000 patients yearly comprising 300 severe neurologicaltrauma (brain/spinal injuries, complex polytrauma), 300 acute stroke (subarachnoid/intracerebral haemorrhages, ischaemic), 300 neurosurgical cases (100 emergency/200 elective) and neurological (demyelinating polyneuropathies, autoimmune encephalitis etc),medical and surgical cases.
Resident Airway Fellows participate in a 1:9 rota. The post is well supported by Consultant input.
Successful applicants will have competence in airway management and experience working in anaesthesia and/or critical care. Full attainment of the anaesthetic Initial Assessment of Competence (IAC) is mandatory. Applicants with training backgrounds in anaesthesia, critical care and ACCS are welcome. Most successful applicants join at ST3 or above.
Support for study leave will be given. Ongoing research trials within Wessex present opportunities for presentation at national and international meetings. Our sub-speciality team recently won ICS Team of the Year. Our Unit is recognised nationally by the UK ICM speciality training committee. Evidence of competence will be required. Prior attainment of the anaesthetic skills demonstrated in the full Initial Assessment of Competence (IAC) certificate or its equivalent - is mandatory. Job summary
The Critical Care Transfer Service Operative is responsible for safely transporting critically ill patients between intensive care and other treatment centers. The role involves driving specialist vehicles, including under emergency conditions using blue lights and sirens, while supporting the clinical team with patient care, monitoring and reassurance.
The post holder works alongside trained clinical and transfer team staff, follows relevant London Ambulance Service policies and UK Ambulance Services Clinical Practice Guidelines, and ensures patients are transferred safely, efficiently and with dignity. Main duties of the job

Job summary
Harbourside Family Practice is looking to recruit a friendly, motivated and reliable Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our expanding clinical team on a part-time basis.
This is a varied and rewarding role supporting our patients with a range of clinical services, including phlebotomy, wound care and dressings, blood pressure monitoring, ECGs, NHS Health Checks and other routine healthcare procedures. The successful candidate will work closely with our GPs, nurses and wider practice team to provide high-quality, patient-centred care.
Previous experience within General Practice or a healthcare setting would be an advantage, and phlebotomy experience is particularly desirable. We are also keen to hear from candidates who are enthusiastic about developing their clinical skills, as appropriate training and competency assessment can be provided for additional aspects of the role.
Main duties of the job
The Healthcare Assistant will provide a range of clinical services to our patients, including phlebotomy, wound care and dressings, blood pressure monitoring, ECGs, NHS Health Checks and smoking cessation support. Package Description: We are looking for a compassionate, patient, and reliable Care and Support Assistant to provide dedicated support to one gentleman with autism. This role is primarily focused on building a trusting relationship with him, understanding his individual needs, and helping him to live a fulfilling, independent life. Main duties of the job
The role involves supporting a gentleman with autism, focused on building a trusting relationship and understanding his needs to help him live an independent life. Developing a professional relationship with his family, and liaising for a consistent, person-centred approach is key. Besides supporting this individual, you will provide care to other service users, promoting independence, aiding in daily living activities, and ensuring the wellbeing and dignity of those you support.
