Job responsibilities
As part of the pharmacy anti-infectives team you will work closely with pharmacists, clinical teams, divisional sustainability leads and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in implementing medicines optimisation initiatives across the Trust. These projects include reducing unnecessary intravenous medicines use through IV-to-oral antimicrobial and paracetamol switching programmes, supporting patients to transition from liquid medicines to tablets where clinically appropriate, and identifying further opportunities to improve the sustainability of medicines use. These initiatives are anticipated to deliver substantial savings while reducing the carbon footprint associated with healthcare delivery.
The post holder will provide specialist medicines management support, review patients to optimise medicines use, undertake audits, collect and analyse data, develop training materials, deliver education to clinical teams and support service improvement programmes. An exciting leadership opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Lead Radiographer within the Breast Imaging team at the Primrose Breast Care Centre, University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust.
Working alongside the Lead Radiographer, you will support the delivery of a safe, effective and high-quality breast imaging service while contributing to the ongoing development of the team. You will help train and support new staff and trainee mammographers, supervise junior colleagues and maintain high standards of imaging and patient communication.
You will work with imaging equipment including two Siemens mammography units with tomosynthesis and contrast-enhanced capability, a prone stereotactic unit, three ultrasound rooms, a mobile screening unit and a city-centre site. Competence in mammography equipment is desirable, with opportunities to be involved in new techniques. Occasional travel to the mobile unit and some weekend working may be required.

Main duties of the job
The Deputy Lead Radiographer will support the Lead Radiographer in the operational management of the Breast Imaging Department and mobile screening service, ensuring safe, effective, high-quality care across static and mobile sites. In their absence, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the service.
You will deliver high-quality screening, symptomatic and assessment mammography in line with NHSBSP standards, support interventional procedures, and provide compassionate, patient-centred care.
The role includes supervising Radiographers, Assistant Practitioners, Clinical Support Workers and trainees, contributing to training, mentorship, appraisal and recruitment. You will manage rotas, staffing levels and skill mix, and coordinate mobile unit logistics, site readiness, QA and risk assessments.
You will ensure compliance with NHSBSP standards, Trust policies, radiation protection and health and safety legislation, and quality management systems, while participating in audit, clinical governance, research and service improvement.
Responsibilities also include equipment quality control, fault reporting, supporting commissioning and servicing, maintaining QA documentation, and accurate data entry on NBSS and CRIS. You will contribute to policy development, risk management and continuous improvement.

Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Advanced Practice Reporting Radiographer (Planar).
The post holder will need to be an autonomous individual, accountable for their professional actions within their scope of practice. We are looking for someone with reporting experience in one or more reporting anatomical areas. We can offer you a preceptorship programme and the opportunity to undertake further reporting.
Reporting at UHS provides a unique opportunity to report on areas of specialism including major trauma, oncology, cardiology, neurology and many more.
You will be expected to undertake all 4 pillars of advanced practice. This is a dynamic post with a balance of clinical, management and reporting duties. The reporting team undertakes autonomous planar reporting across all patient groups. All members of the reporting team are allocated protected reporting sessions per week (min 50%) with allocated radiographer reporting offices. Hours of work and work pattern can be negotiated at interview.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the busy and dynamic team working within the Sexual Health and Contraception Service in Brighton. Thisintegrated serviceoperates across three sites within the city, with outreach to other parts. We are a multi-professional progressive team providing a comprehensive, evidence based and patient focused service for Contraception and Sexual Health.
We are looking for an experienced registered nurse to fill the role of Band 6 Sexual Health and Contraception Nurse. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of an effective and efficient service in a professional and sensitive manner, and it is essential that the post holder has a recognised qualification and experience in the provision of contraception as well as qualification/experience in sexual health care.
Experience within safeguarding and working with vulnerable young people is essential.A letter of competence in the insertion and removal of subdermal implants (or working towards) would be desirable, as would arecognised post graduate basic teaching qualification. Excellent communication and team working skills are imperative. Flexibility in working hours is expected including weekend & evening working.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be able to:
- Support patients with distressing, sensitive and personal information in a skilled and knowledgeable manner, utilising well developed communication skills of listening, responding, engaging and empathising.
- Deliver bad news, including positive sexually transmitted infection results and pregnancy test results.
- Discuss sensitive sexual health issues with patients to support decision making including condom use, unexpected or unplanned pregnancies, sexual practices, sexuality issues, sexual assault and infections such as hepatitis, syphilis and HIV.
- Work within cross agency agreements to provide access to emergency contraception for young people within secondary schools across Brighton and Hove.

Job summary
Working with a supportive community nursing team, you'll provide high-quality care to people in their own homes so they can stay as independent, safe and well as possible. Based on the role of Community Staff Nurse, you will assess needs, plan care and build trusted relationships with patients, families and other health and care professionals. Job summary
Post holders will be expected to undertake training to ensure a basic knowledge or level of competence in sexual health appropriate to the role and to be able to work across all sites of the integrated service according to service needs. Flexibility in working hours is expected including weekend & evening working.

Experience in venepuncture and/or diagnostic microscopy is desirable but not essential as all necessary training will be given to the successful candidate/s. We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed Specialty Administrator Team Leader to join our Colorectal and General Surgery team at Yeovil District Hospital (YDH). This is a full time role - 37.5 hours per week.
You will provide comprehensive administrative support to the specialty team, including consultants, registrars, and other healthcare professionals. In addition to managing day-to-day administrative tasks, you will take on a leadership role within the admin team, acting as the Team Leader for the Specialty Administrators. You will follow admissions processes accurately and ensure waiting lists and theatre lists are managed effectively to support safe and timely patient care.
Main duties of the job
Schedule patients into appropriate theatre lists, ensuring the surgeons requirements are followed, hospital systems are checked for essential booking information, there is a suitable anaesthetist, all equipment will be present and available, any special bed requests are ordered, and the order of the theatre list is suitable for the surgeon, along with managing the patients' social needs and availability.
Follow and implement waiting list policies, paying particular attention to the 18 week RTT national rules, clock rules for diagnostic tests and the Trust's Access Policy. Negotiate with patients when they wish to cancel admission dates so that they understand that any further cancellation or delay may result in their being removed from the waiting list following the Clinical Review process. Ensure information conveyed to the patient and Clinical Reviewer is clear and accurate so that a fair and appropriate decision can be made on the patient's future care.
Communicate effectively and in a timely fashion with patients/parents/carers as the need arises. Use reassurance and negotiation skills with tact on a daily basis over the telephone and face to face: patients are often very anxious at the prospect of admission to hospital for operations and procedures, so a calm and empathic approach is essential.
Overcoming barriers to understanding, either because there is a language difficulty or because the patient simply does not comprehend the nature and purpose of their admission.

The Faster Diagnosis Administrator plays a key role in supporting the early stages of the cancer pathway by ensuring all cancer referrals are processed promptly and accurately in line with the 28 Day Faster Diagnosis Standard. We are looking for two Faster Diagnosis Administrators to join our friendly and supportive team, based across Musgrove Park Hospital and Yeovil Hospital.
We can offer between 28 and 37.5 hours per week for the right candidates providing flexibility to suit individual circumstances
Main duties of the job
- Process and manage all cancer referrals promptly in line with departmental policy and Cancer Waiting Times targets including the 28 Day Faster Diagnosis Standard.
- Liaise with GPs and other referrers to obtain complete and accurate information to support effective patient triage.
- Work closely with Faster Diagnosis Nurses and Coordinators to support efficient and timely triage and pathway management.

Main duties of the job
The Associate Director of Commercial and Business Development will lead the development and delivery of HBL ICT Shared Services commercial and business growth strategy. The post holder will identify, evaluate and implement new commercial opportunities and be accountable for the development of strategic partnerships
Operating within an ITIL framework, you will be delivering enterprise-wide solutions across a customer base of circa 10,000 across various NHS organisations within the HBL partnership.

We are looking to appoint a full-time substantive Consultant Gastroenterologist to join the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Directorate at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, based across the Royal Hallamshire Hospital and Northern General Hospital. Job summary
Come and join our great Home Visiting Team in Canterbury! We work in an integrated and collaborative way with Canterbury GP Practices. We are proud of the services we provide and passionate about improving them further.
The visiting practitioner will work as part of the PCN visiting team undertaking both pre-arranged and same day visits to housebound patients and to those living in care settings. The role requires the practitioner to be able to assess and treat patients within their scope of practice as well as liaise with the patients' GP practice.
The team will be primarily in the community but based at out premises, The Annexe, Ethelbert Road Surgery and the focus of the role includes:
- Working with patients and their carers and the wider neighbourhood team
- Keeping patients at the centre of collaborative integrated neighbourhood working
- Delivering Care Home rounds under the supervision of the aligned practice
- Delivering a home visiting service to housebound patients across Canterbury
- Providing effective care planning and comprehensive assessments
- Supporting the development of effective systems and processes to ensure well-coordinated, high quality care that meets contractual requirements.

Job summary
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, self motivated, experienced secretary to provide comprehensive secretarial support to the Community Paediatric team.
It is essential that applicants possess a high level of audio typing skills, hold a Medical Secretarial Qualification or have sufficient medical secretarial experience, and are qualified to a minimum of RSA Stage 3 (or equivalent experience).
The successful applicant will be able to work on their own initiative and be able to work as part of a team.
The post holder will be able to work within time constraints and be able to meet deadline whilst being able to demonstrate good organisational skills and the ability to maintain good and reliable records. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
The Senior Medical Secretary Function Provides:
An accurate, confidential and supportive administration service for patients, clinical teams, carers and internal and external agencies (e.g. Local Authority, Third Sector, CAIS) in order to: Provide a safe and efficient patient pathway and provide information and appropriate support to families and carers.
The post holder will ensure the delivery of a comprehensive high quality medical secretarial and administrative service to the consultant, doctor and junior medical team and specialist nursing teams, other health professionals.
The post holder will be responsible for the guidance and direction of the team dealing with appropriate day to day issues to oversee the smooth running of the department and providing support to the line manager.
