Main duties of the job

Your day-to-day...

• Full end to end pay cycle processing, including:

• Adding starters, leavers, contractual and personal detail changes
• Processing of statutory payments
• Changes to pensions including opt in/out and employee requests
• Processing of salary sacrifice arrangements ensuring NLW compliance
• Processing of pay relating to hours worked, allowances, bonus and other amounts as requested by the business
• Processing of deductions as required and in line with any applicable regulatory requirements
• Monitor cycles for breaches in NLW
• Review pay cycle information to identify and resolve any inconsistencies, errors or inefficiencies
• Identify and report any over or underpayments to thePayroll Manager providing sufficient evidence
• Ensure that all payrolls have the appropriate level of authorisation at local level
• Process supplementary payments ensuring that back up documentation is present where required
• Where manual payments are raised outside the pay cycle, these are then processed correctly in the subsequent run

Summary of the site

Cygnet Taunton is a 51 bedded mental health hospital which provides emergency acute admission services for men and women, a pathway for men with a diagnosis of learning disability and a ward for men with Neuro cognitive conditions. The Occupational Therapy team of 7 work across all wards when required, to provide high quality and person centred therapy sessions. Cygnet Taunton are developing co-produced and therapeutic spaces across the site and extensive grounds, allowing multiple opportunities for staff and patient development and engagement, from a service user led caf to conservation/horticulture area on the grounds, as well as on-site gym and external therapy rooms. The hospital is in a small hamlet in the countryside just on the edges of Taunton, close to numerous national parks including Exmoor and Dartmoor as well as being 40 mins from a small fishing village Watchet and Minehead.

Main duties of the job

Your role: In this role you will assess, implement and develop an OT treatment programme according to service users diagnosis and identified needs. This will be based upon findings from assessments including associated risks, in order to develop treatment plans accordingly. You will work with a full multidisciplinary team in a coordinated way to support each service user to develop their skills and move through our clinical model of care from admission to discharge. You will have the support of an Occupational Therapy team and work closely with other therapists from different disciplines, including nurses, psychologists, psychology assistants, occupational therapists, social workers, speech and language therapists, and psychiatrists as well as 24/7 support from the nursing team. We are seeking an experienced full-time Consultant Psychiatrist and Medical Director who will work at Cygnet Hospital Kidsgrove and provide senior medical cover on Crocus Ward, our 20-bed female emergency acute inpatient service.

Crocus Ward provides a safe and stabilising environment for women who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require an emergency admission. Burleigh Ward provides specialised support for women with a personality disorder and other complex needs.

The post holder will be the Responsible Clinician and have overall medical responsibility of patient treatment, whilst liaising closely with the Multi-Disciplinary Team (Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Registered Mental Health Nurses, Social Workers etc.)

The post holder will be expected to act as a positive role model, maintaining and demonstrating a positive attitude towards patients, their families, visitors and other staff.

Main duties and Responsibilities

As a Consultant Psychiatrist you will:

• Lead on the provision of high quality care to the service users admitted to Crocus Ward
• Act as a positive role model, maintaining and demonstrating a positive attitude towards patients, their families, visitors and other staff.

• To ensure and maintain regular communications with the Site Medical Director and Hospital Manager
• To communicate effectively through regular contact with patients, relatives, staff, directors, and any other concerned bodies; maintaining appropriate reports.
• Attend and contribute to academic meetings and adhere to the professional standards for CPD as set out by the GMC, the Department of Health and the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
• Contribute to the Second On call rota in line with the needs of the region.

As a Medical Director you will:

• Ensure optimal clinical outcomes for the people in our care
