You will be the first point of contact for patients arriving at our Theatres and will provide a professional and reassuring welcome for those attending for surgery, ensuring a high standard of patient experience.
You will be responsible for the provision of a professional, comprehensive and efficient reception and booking service for patients and members of the department and managing the patient pathway throughout their stay in the theatre suite.

- Receptionist Responsibilities
1. Act as the first point of contact for patients and visitors to the department.
2. Provide comprehensive reception support, to include taking messages and using the department technology.
3. Deal with patient enquiries in a sympathetic and confidential manner, signposting people appropriately and maintain a high standard of customer care at all times.
4. Update Trust patient information systems to ensure accurate patient information and demographics are recorded.
5. Book, amend and check all patients accurately.
Clerical
1. Provide assistance to clinical and administrative staff within the theatre suite and other areas of the trust as part of the patients pathway.
2. Use the appropriate Trust record systems to retrieve, book in or out (track) and send out patient notes to other services as requested.
3. Open incoming post and distribute to clinical and administrative staff as required.
4. Answer the telephone, log, manage and prioritise requests as necessary.
5. Book interpreter services for patients as required.
General
1. Demonstrate high levels of customer care and be an ambassador for our theatre suites and the Trust more widely.
2. Provide a robust administration function that underpins the delivery of a high-quality service and maintain effective working relationships with clinical, nursing and administrative staff.

So what does a day in the life of a clerical officer look like?
You will be performing an ambassadorial role, representing the department and the Trust as a 'front of house' reception service. The post holder will join the RTT (Referral to Treatment) Validation Team within the Patient Administration Contact Centre, supporting a range of administrative and patient pathway activities.
We are looking for motivated, detail-oriented individuals with experience in RTT validation, patient pathway tracking, waiting list management and elective pathway standards.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of NHS RTT rules, consultant-led pathways, clock starts and stops, and validation processes. Job summary
We are looking for a professional, highly effective and personable Medical Receptionist to join our friendly team. You must possess good attention to detail and work to a high standard. Patient focused and a positive attitude is a must. Job summary
The Community Dental Service is seeking a motivated and compassionate Dental Nurse (Band 4) to join our team on a fixed term basis (12-months). The post holder will provide high-quality clinical and administrative support to dentists delivering care to patients who are unable to access general dental services due to disability, medical complexity or the need for specialist care.
You will assist in a wide range of dental procedures, ensuring the smooth running of clinics, maintaining high standards of infection prevention and control, and delivering safe, patient-centred care always. The role involves supporting patients of all ages, many of whom may require additional reassurance, empathy and communication support.
The post is based at St Marks Hospital (until re-opening of original base location- Langley Health Centre), with regular travel to various clinics and sites across Berkshire, therefore flexibility and the ability to travel are essential.
This role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 08:30 - 17:00 and is ideal for a Dental Nurse who enjoys working as part of a multidisciplinary team in a community setting. Opportunities for development and training are actively supported within the service.

Main duties of the job
- To provide comprehensive support to clinicians, throughout a wide range of different types of clinical treatments.
- To provide clinical support as described above within a wide range of settings - including fixed sites and clinics, and other environments which include patients' homes, residential care and nursing homes, hospices and hospitals.
- To support all patients as they undergo dental treatment responding to individual patient's needs.
- To set up and prepare the dental surgery or theatre for use at the beginning of the session.
- To prepare and monitor patients for and during their dental treatment providing pre- and post-operative instruction where needed.

Band 5 Senior Pharmacy Technician - Patient Services (Outpatient)
This post is based on Barnet Hospital of the Royal Free Hospital Trust. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and adaptable Pharmacy Technician with good communication and interpersonal skills to take on this challenging post. Your role will involve working with Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and other health care professionals on providing Medicines Management services at ward level.
The post holder will support the outpatient pharmacists to issue out medicines our patients as per trust's policies. You will support the day-to-day coordination of the outpatient pharmacy by checking medicines for outpatient prescriptions, patient counselling and co-ordination of the supply of medicines to our patients.
You will be an Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT). You must have evidence of registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and have good post qualification experience working as a Pharmacy Technician within an NHS Hospital Pharmacy or a community pharmacy.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will support the co-ordination of the dispensary staff and workflow to provide a high quality and efficient patient orientated service. The post holder will be an accredited checking technician and will participate in the supply of medicines to inpatients, outpatients, wards and departments under the supervision of a pharmacist.
The post holder will be responsible for and organise the day-to-day running of the Out-patient pharmacy. To monitor, develop and deliver the technical elements of the pharmaceutical service for patients in accordance with objectives set by the Chief Technician - Patient Services. This will include overseeing the ordering of medicines, ensuring safe, appropriate supply of stock to the wards and stock control throughout the dispensary.
The post holder will support training and staff development by acting as a mentor/trainer for NVQ qualifications, in-house and external training/ accreditation.
The post holder will line manage pharmacy support workers, and act as an Educational Supervisor and Practice Supervisor for trainee pharmacy professionals in the dispensary and on the wards.
In conjunction with the Chief Technician - Patient Services, the senior technician will also implement and be involved in EDC and control drug room daily management, medicine management initiatives, ensure the cost-effective use of medicines and assist in the implementation of cost saving initiatives.

Main duties of the job
This is a patient-facing role requiring clinical assessment and treatment using specialist medicines knowledge across specific disease areas. You will be registered with the GPhC or about to complete your foundation training in order to register as a Clinical Pharmacist with the GPhC. The role involves proactively supporting patients with complex polypharmacy, particularly older adults and those with multiple long-term conditions. Job summary
This is a new position that would suit a medical oncologist with a significant interest in early cancer diagnosis working primarily at The Royal Marsden but in close collaboration with ICR and research partners in the AHSC.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder would focus on early detection research in Sarcoma (with an opportunity to develop research that crosses into other departments, notably genetics). They would also be involved in research in secondary prevention and early detection of recurrent cancers or second primary cancers. The post-holder will work closely with the Consultant Respiratory Physician with an Interest in Early Cancer Diagnosis, and BRC Early Diagnosis and Detection Centre leads, and together would serve as champions for early detection research and innovation more broadly within the RM/ICR BRC. They would work in close collaboration with Imperial researchers interested in this field through under the AHSC umbrella and with other BRCs with cancer research themes. This is a combined position between the Acute Oncology Service (AOS) & the Sarcoma Unit. They will report and be accountable to the Director of Clinical Research and the Chief Medical Officer.

Job summary
We welcome enthusiastic and committed Therapeutic Radiographers to apply for this position within our innovative and friendly working environment.We are a large Radiotherapy department within the south west providing both local and regional services to both adults and paediatric patients. We have 5 Elekta linear accelerators and within the pre-treatment area there are 2 dedicated CT scanners, Raystation and a mould room.
All staff are involved in the development of the service and we actively encourage continual professional development including opportunities for post graduate learning to develop skills to promote patient centered care.
As a senior Therapeutic Radiographer within pre-treatment you will have pre-treatment experience and be able to provide accurate planning of radiotherapy treatments with appropriate patient care. You will also be required to assist the Team Lead Therapeutic Radiographer in charge of the area and to deputise when necessary.

Main duties of the job
To ensure accurate planning of Radiotherapy treatments as prescribed, with appropriate care of the patient with a cancer diagnosis

Main duties of the job
Speech and Language Therapists are core to the efficient service delivery that we provide to children, young people and their families. As a Speech and Language Therapist in our service, you will deliver care to children, young people and their families in the community, schools and in the clinic setting. Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Integrated Care Team -Therapy for Band 3 Senior Therapy Assistant in the West of Sheffield. The Therapy Team assess and offer person centred rehabilitation for people referred from various sources: the Hospital, GPs, District Nurses, other Health and Social Care teams. ICT Therapy treat people from the age of 16 to older adults with a variety of conditions and therapy needs in their home environment.
Senior Therapy Assistants work with Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, to carry out rehabilitation programmes and manage their own patient caseload. They are supported by the team and have regular training and supervision.
The successful applicant should have extensive and relevant experience of working in rehabilitation in the NHS, have NVQ III in Diagnostic and Therapeutic Care or Health and Social Care (with therapy specific units) or equivalent qualifications or experience. The applicant must have daily access to a car and have a valid driving license.
This is a seven-day service and covers weekends and Bank Holidays.

Main duties of the job

Main duties of the job
The ultrasound department at BTHFT is split across the two main sites of Bradford Royal Infirmary and St Luke's hospital. On the BRI site we have the maternity ultrasound department in the women's health unit, a two room vascular ultrasound department in medical physics and the six room main ultrasound department in radiology, where a range of interventional procedures, both radiologist and sonographer lead, take place.
The two room ultrasound department at St Luke's hospital is mainly an out-patient service.
In addition, we have a brand new two room ultrasound department in the Bradford community diagnostic centre.
As a qualified sonographer you will work in some or all of these departments, depending on your individual skill mix.
As part of the team you will be responsible for managing the daily operation of the area in which you work, using good time management and clinical judgement to prioritise patients and to deal with situations as they arise, in order to deliver an efficient high quality patient service.
Experience in scanning and reporting in your ultrasound speciality is essential.
As an independent practitioner you will be required to mentor and supervise students, trainees and newly qualified sonographers.

Accountable for the provision of transport services to patients travelling for non-urgent and non-emergency treatment within a specified area, ensuring all operational resources employed in the delivery of the service are clinically appropriate to patient needs, ensuring that standards of patient and staff safety are adhered to, and that quality and performance targets are met.
The PTS Operations Manager will ensure the development and maintenance of strong local collaborative working and stakeholder engagement with senior managers across organisational boundaries, and the effective management of the local reputation to ensure ongoing deliverability and sustainability of the service.
The PTS Operations Manager will be directly responsible for the effective management and visible leadership of Team Leaders, Ambulance Care Assistants and volunteers within the service delivery, responsible for ensuring delivery of a high quality, safe and efficient service to patients and stakeholders, ensuring operational risks are effectively managed.
The post holder will mainly work Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00hrs under NHS Agenda for Change guidelines. PTS operates seven days a week therefore occasionally the post holder may be required to work unsocial hours, including Bank Holidays. Flexibility is an essential requirement for the role.

North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport.
Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed. We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.
Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.
We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West. NHS 111 replaced the NHS Direct in 2013. This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. It provides non-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
