Job summary
An exciting opportunity for a Community Physiotherapist to join our team is available within the Ipswich West Community Team.
The position is full time, fixed term until 31.5.27
You should be an experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist who is passionate, committed, innovative, enthusiastic and highly motivate to delivering high quality care within patient's homes.
We are fortunate enough to be co-located with our nursing, social care colleagues and the out of hours REACT, admission prevention and discharge to assess teams.
This is an opportunity to work within a knowledgeable experienced team and wider MDT. You should be flexible, motivated and willing to work within a changing environment. We will provide support through in-service training and professional forums, Mandatory training, 1:1 and personal development meetings as well as clinical rolling skills training via the practice development facilitators. We facilitate students on training and have close working relationships with neighbouring community teams in Health and Social Care.

- To provide high standard patient care in hospital settings and patients homes
- To ensure a more seamless flow for patient care between hospital and community settings, enabling patients to be cared for in their own home environment
- To provide supervision and support to more junior staff
- To triage referrals to the community team

An exciting opportunity has risen for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our Reactive Emergency Assessment Community Team (REACT) as a Senior Registered Nurse. The REACT team is a multi-disciplinary integrated community service within ESNEFT incorporating OPAT (Outpatient Parenteral Antibiotics Therapy), OOHs (Out of Hours) and Virtual Ward pathways patients.
Our team delivers excellent patient focused care to patients in the East Suffolk community. Could you be a valued key member of our team? We will offer an individually tailored induction, training and support for the successful candidate.
The role involves travelling throughout East Suffolk delivering acute care in patient's home as a part of REACT nursing team, both during core hours and out of hours. The post holder will be working in an internal rotation. The successful candidate will be expected to work a mixture of shifts that include the following: 11-11 triage shifts, early (0800-1600), late (1500-2300), twilight (1800-2300) and night shifts (2230-0830) including weekends and bank holidays as the service requires. During out of hours between 18:00-8:00 the Nurse will be accompanied with a Health Care Assistant. Pool cars are accessible for staff to use and it is essential that post holder has valid driving licence.
Main duties of the job
In this role, during the core hours, teams' main responsibilities include working in partnership with the OPAT (Outpatient Parental Antibiotic Therapy) to administer intravenous antibiotics via PICC line or cannula for patients receiving antibiotics in community. Core hours will also include assessment and delivery of care to patients in crisis to allow admission prevention. During the out hours main responsibilities include routine and emergency response to wound care, catheter care for all types of catheters, diabetic care, End of Life care, Anticoagulant medication, Pressure Area care, Venepuncture and Sub cut Fluids in order to ensure 24 hours Nursing care cover in community. You would be liaising with District nursing service to ensure continuity of care and another community services where needed.
The role will also include being the shifts team lead, triaging and co-ordinating case load, scheduling visits, carrying out appraisals and clinical supervision for more junior staff. Part of this role is also to support senior management in daily running of the team and promoting change. We are looking for a Pathology Service Desk Analyst to join our Pathology service desk team on fixed term contract until 31st October 2027.
You can join our team to deliver innovative, high-performing pathology services that is focused on our service users and delivers high quality and fully compliant services. In this role you will be expected to:
- Provide an efficient and courteous first line support service to a range of Healthcare professionals, patients and service users across the Pathology and NHS service
- Provide support for Pathology IT systems and applications, managing and escalating incidents in accordance with Service Level Agreements in conjunction with Trust support staff and third party support organisation

Main duties of the job
- Maintain up to date technical knowledge of operating systems and applications
- To process service requests from user
- To undertake general administration duties
- To respond to emails sent to the Service Desk generic mailbox as set out by the Customer Service Desk Manager
- Develop an understanding of the Pathology IT applications in order to be able to advise users on any problems encountered, including understanding the functions within the service
- A wide range of customers and clinical colleagues may need to be communicated to regarding sensitive and complex
- Calls and incidents are to be resolved in a timely manner as set out within the SLAs and escalate as appropriate
- Use own initiative to prioritise workload and monitor own incoming call traffic (calls waiting/dashboard)
- Initial line support, receiving calls and emails, acts as first line customer liaison
- Booking blood tests for patients and clinicians on their behalf via the telephone
- Recording and tracking incidents and complaints
- Initial investigation of incidents
- Closing Incidents and Customer Service Requests once agreement with the individual
- Test results are to be provided via various (LIMS) Laboratory Management information systems
- Where possible customer service desk staff should provide the appropriate information to callers seeking clinical advice or test information as requested

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated nurse to join the Colorectal Team at Ipswich Hospital as aStraight to Test - Colorectal Nurse. You will play a key role in the early colorectal cancer pathway, supporting the delivery of a safe, effective and timely Faster Diagnosis Standard (FDS) service. The role will involve clinical triage of referrals, telephone assessment, assessing fitness and suitability for investigation, identifying appropriate diagnostic tests & coordinating patients through the diagnostic pathway. We are seeking a nurse with a good clinical background & an understanding ofcolorectal disease, comorbidities, anticoagulation, frailty, functional status & overall fitness for investigation. Knowledge of the colorectal FDS pathway, suspected cancer referral criteria, clinical triage & the ability to apply guidelines & protocols is desirable. You will use electronic systems to assess referrals, request investigations & communicate with the multidisciplinary team, including colorectal consultants, CNSs, Endoscopy, Radiology, Cancer Hub and GP practices. The STT Colorectal Nurse will play a key role in the early assessment & management of patients referred through the colorectal suspected cancer pathway. Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and clinically triaging referrals in line with the colorectalFaster Diagnosis Standard pathway, referral criteria, local protocols and national guidance.
- Assessing clinical information and undertaking telephone assessment where required to establish relevant history, comorbidities, medication, anticoagulation, frailty, functional status and fitness for investigation.
- Identifying the most appropriate diagnostic investigation and arranging or requesting this through electronic systems in a timely manner.
- Recognising patients requiring further assessment or senior clinical review and escalating appropriately.

We are excited to advertise two new posts within the respiratory medicine Department at Ipswich hospital. These are enabling us to increase our inpatient bed base and offer seven day working.
These will be predominantly based in general respiratory medicine with some on-call cover of General Internal medicine.
Consultants would be encouraged and supported to develop a sub speciality interest. Applicants with interests in airways disease and education would be very welcome but we would look to accommodate any sub speciality as the rest of a job plan allows.
Applicants will have completed CCT or equivalent (Portfolio Pathway) and must be on the Specialist Register or within 6 months of completion.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will join a rota looking after the 2 respiratory wards, the high dependency unit and referrals. Each consultant currently only looks after half the inpatients on a ward at any time. The expectation would be the successful candidates would cover inpatients 28 weeks per year and referrals/the high dependency unit 7 times per year.
The post will include a respiratory hot clinic and pleural or bronchoscopy intervention sessions.
The successful candidate will join the respiratory rota providing 7 day cover to our high dependency unit. Alongside this the post includes a slot on the general medicine on call rota (will be 1:17).
This is a full time post however candidates wishing to work part time will be considered and the responsibilities and timetable adjusted accordingly.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and forward thinking Administrator within our Integrated Therapies administrative team. You will be working within our Dietetics team. You will be required to work on your own initiative to ensure the smooth running of the administrative functions of the Department.

Main duties of the job
Acting as the first point of contact for patients, carers, clinicians and external agencies, responding to telephone, email and face-to-face enquiries in a professional and compassionate manner.
Managing patient appointments using Epic, including booking, cancelling, rescheduling and maintaining clinic utilisation.
Coordinating patient pathways from referral through to discharge, ensuring actions are completed accurately and within agreed timescales. Monitoring referrals, work queues and electronic tasks, escalating issues where appropriate.
Supporting clinicians with the maintenance of electronic patient records and administrative aspects of patient care.
Producing correspondence, clinic letters, reports and other documentation using Microsoft Office and Trust systems

We are looking for Medical Laboratory Assistants to join our specimen reception team in the Blood Sciences Pathology Department at Colchester Hospital.
This role is based in our pathology labs and you will work with the team and be responsible for receipt and pre-analytics processing of pathology samples which are then passes on to our other specialities.

Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity within our Aseptics Unit for Senior Pharmacy Assistants to support the growth of the department.
You will work as part of a team, within the Aseptic department, providing a high quality, flexible and responsive service.
You will aseptically prepare injections ready for patient administration, including chemotherapy (cytotoxic), radiopharmaceuticals and general intravenous drugs.
Previous experience of working in a cleanroom environment is desirable, but not essential.
We are committed to provide a supportive environment with opportunities for training and personal development. In the future there is a possibility for a Science Manufacturing Technician apprenticeship to enhance career progress.
Consideration will be given for strong candidates who may not meet the essential criteria to undertake this role on a developmental basis with set competency targets. Roles offered on a development basis will be banded lower than originally advertised until competency targets are met.

Main duties of the job
Aseptically manufacture named patient and batch products following procedures and worksheets.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a fixed term Senior or Junior Community Physiotherapist (Depending on experience) to join the North East Integrated Neighbourhood Team. The role is based in Leiston. A full driving licence and access to a car for work are essential.
Community experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided. Our team is motivated and forward-thinking, consisting of Therapists, Nurses, Social Workers, and Support Staff. We recently merged our Health and Social Care teams to form an Integrated Team, offering a new model of care and innovative ways of working.The primary focus of the therapy team is to provide short-term rehabilitation in the community, supporting timely hospital discharge and preventing unnecessary admissions. This is achieved through tailored exercise programmes, equipment provision, and functional interventions that promote independence. We visit patients in their own homes, care homes, and nursing homes, as well as offering rehabilitation within the gym at Aldeburgh Community Hospital. We also run clinics, such as GLINT (Geriatric clinic) and community OP clinic.
Our team works closely with local GP practices and benefits from a wealth of experience and knowledge among its members.We are looking for a motivated and committed Physiotherapist who is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred care in a community setting.

Main duties of the job
- To be an active member of a multi-disciplinary, integrated community team.
- To manage a defined caseload of complex individuals, using evidence based/person centred principles.
- To assess, plan, implement and evaluate therapy interventions.

- To provide clinical supervision to band 5 physiotherapists and supervise band 3 and 4 support staff.
