Job summary
Are you interested in joining a dynamic team that provides the best possible care to patients, clients and service users? We are looking for fully qualified Counsellors and Psychotherapists to join our Employee Assistant Programme (EAP) Clinical Team a part- time basis, based in-office at our HQ in Glasgow.
Main duties of the job
Our EAP Counsellors work to help employees resolve personal and work-related issues that may be affecting their health and wellbeing. Our EAP services include short-term confidential counselling, manager support, critical incident and trauma support, legal and financial advice, and referrals to specialist psychological services such as CBT and EMDR.
As a fully qualified Counsellor or Psychotherapist, your working day will include but not be limited to:
- Carrying out initial clinical assessments and triaging client needs, directing individuals to appropriate clinical pathways. This will involve delivering support across the pathway via booked assessment appointments, in-the-moment support, or booked single sessions, conducted by telephone and/or video consultation.
- Carrying out Risk Assessments and following the Safeguarding and Risk Protocol process.
- Managing a caseload of clients requiring structured counselling, which will depend on your contractual hours, as well as the needs of the service.

- Clinical assessment and advice following NHS 111 referrals
- In-hours care coordination, helping patients and healthcare professionals access the most appropriate care pathway
Our services bring together clinical, operational and care coordination colleagues to deliver responsive, patient-centred care. Whether providing advice remotely, seeing a patient at a treatment centre, coordinating care or visiting them at home, our teams help patients access the right support.

We have a range of hours/shifts and can consider permanent weekend shifts, if preferable to you, for a work/life balance (our current vacancies are for 3 or 4 shifts per week).
Our shift patterns are split as follows, based on 3 days:

Key Skills and Experience
As a fully qualified Counsellor or Psychotherapist, our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Professional qualifications as a Counsellor/Psychotherapist (L4 and above in Counselling) with BACP/COSCA (or similar) registered status.
- Previous EAP/Telephone Counselling or time limited assessment experience, ideally in a corporate environment. While it is advantageous, it is not mandatory, as comprehensive training will be provided.
- Good IT skills with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Proficiency in written and oral English language.
- A strong clinical background, with excellent assessment skills.
- An ability to make sound Clinical decisions, whilst holding boundaries.
- Your abilities as a team-player with excellent time management, clinical, communication and organisation skills.
- An ability to be cognisant of clients and the service whilst working under pressure.
- An ability to work within a busy environment.

Hybrid: Glasgow/Remote - Minimum of 1 day based in the Glasgow Office, depending on shift/days worked (mandatory)

Job summary
Are you interested in joining a dynamic team that provides the best possible care to patients, clients and service users? We are looking for fully qualified Counsellors and Psychotherapists to join our Employee Assistant Programme (EAP) Clinical Team a part- time basis, based in-office at our HQ in Glasgow.
Main duties of the job
Our EAP Counsellors work to help employees resolve personal and work-related issues that may be affecting their health and wellbeing. Our EAP services include short-term confidential counselling, manager support, critical incident and trauma support, legal and financial advice, and referrals to specialist psychological services such as CBT and EMDR.
As a fully qualified Counsellor or Psychotherapist, your working day will include but not be limited to:
- Carrying out initial clinical assessments and triaging client needs, directing individuals to appropriate clinical pathways. This will involve delivering support across the pathway via booked assessment appointments, in-the-moment support, or booked single sessions, conducted by telephone and/or video consultation.
- Carrying out Risk Assessments and following the Safeguarding and Risk Protocol process.
- Managing a caseload of clients requiring structured counselling, which will depend on your contractual hours, as well as the needs of the service.

Key Skills and Experience
As a fully qualified Counsellor or Psychotherapist, our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Professional qualifications as a Counsellor/Psychotherapist (L4 and above in Counselling) with BACP/COSCA (or similar) registered status.
- Previous EAP/Telephone Counselling or time limited assessment experience, ideally in a corporate environment. While it is advantageous, it is not mandatory, as comprehensive training will be provided.
- Good IT skills with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Proficiency in written and oral English language.
- A strong clinical background, with excellent assessment skills.
- An ability to make sound Clinical decisions, whilst holding boundaries.
- Your abilities as a team-player with excellent time management, clinical, communication and organisation skills.
- An ability to be cognisant of clients and the service whilst working under pressure.
- An ability to work within a busy environment.

Part and full time rota patterns available
Working from our Telford Headquarters and/or from one of our Primary Care Centres, as an Independent, autonomous Prescribing Clinician you will work as part of our multidisciplinary team to deliver safe and timely care to those accessing our Integrated Urgent Care Service, providing a variety of shift opportunities to include:
- Face-to-face shifts based at one of our Primary Care Centres across the Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin locality.
- Mobile shifts undertaking home visits to patients who are unable to travel to a primary care centre, supported with a fully equipped medical car.
- Triage shifts based at our regional Head Office.
Our service works to coordinate health and care services to patients and where clinically appropriate, utilise alternative pathways to emergency admission.
About the role
Our Clinical Practitioners provide care through the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge or referral of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed injury/illness, or acute exacerbation of existing conditions. You will assist in the development of an integrated approach to the delivery of patient care across the whole system of health and social care, working in partnership with all relevant stakeholders.
The key elements of the role include but are not limited to:
- Working as an autonomous practitioner providing clinical assessment, diagnosis (where possible), and treatment (where appropriate) for adult and paediatric patients invited to attend our Primary Care Centres or during remote consultations.
- Accurately triaging & prioritising all patients, demonstrating the use of a variety of techniques to elicit the history of an event / illness including past medical and drug history.
- Undertaking home visits to patients who are unable to travel to a primary care centre, supported with a fully equipped medical car and a driver.
- Referring patients to alternative care settings, where appropriate.
- Supporting our Care Coordination Service from our regional Head Office.
- Supporting with triage of calls that have come via the NHS111 pathway during the core daytime surgery opening hours.
Please note that the support of a senior clinician is always available remotely during your shift.About you
You will be a registered nurse, paramedic, or other allied health professional, with a non-medical prescribing qualification in the context of a broad scope of practice.
Skills and experience
- Ability to work autonomously both in-hours and out of hours.
- Achieved or working towards an MSc in Advanced Practice.
- Evidence of an equivalent accumulation of relevant experience and knowledge.
- Training and experience of physical assessment and clinical reasoning with patients of all ages (including paediatrics).
- Ability to demonstrate a wide knowledge base and competency in clinical practice.
- Understanding of the emergency care pathways.
- Knowledge of primary health care issues affecting a diverse local population.
- Will have at least 2 years worth of prescribing experience.
- Completion of a clinical reasoning module e.g. PADRIP or equivalent

We operate a 24/7, 365 days a year service, on a rolling 4-week rota pattern to be agreed following a successful interview, providing care to our service users. The role will involve non-clinical support to clinicians and patients who use the NHS 111 and GP Out of Hours service.
A degree of flexibility will be required, and there may be the occasional opportunity to work outside of your contracted hours to facilitate the smooth operational running of the service.
Our Urgent Care service operates across Wiltshire, with bases in Chippenham, Keynsham, Salisbury and Swindon. If successful your rota may include a variety of the below hours:
- Monday Friday 18:15/18:30 23:00 (Evenings)
- Monday Friday 23:00 08:00 (Overnights)
- Saturday - Monday 0800 - 08:00 - (Encompassing AM/PM/Evening or Overnight Shifts)
Please note that overnight working will be required as part of this role and will make up part of the required working rota (23.00-8.00)
Your key duties will include:
Driving
- Driving Clinicians to the patient's home in a safe and legal manner adhering to current driving regulations.
- Perform basic vehicle checks at the beginning and end of shifts ensuring they are roadworthy, fuelled and fully equipped.
- Accurate recording of all medications and consumables used while on shift.
Base
- To be the first point of contact for the patient or carer/relative in our designated Treatment Centres.
- Supporting Clinicians while you are on shift.
- Communicating with patients both in person and via the telephone (comfort & welfare checks).
- Ensure the Treatment Centre is kept clean and tidy.
Medication and Stock Management:
- Using a variety of computer systems to accurately maintain stock levels of medication and consumables.
- Replenishing car stock at the end of your shift.
- Understand stock rotation and expiry dates on weekly delivery of medications and consumables

The Urgent Care Assistant role is variedand requires a flexible and resilient approach. You will be expected to undertake a broad range of duties, including periods of prolonged sitting (for example, at a reception desk or in a vehicle), alongside more physically demanding tasks such as moving and carrying emergency equipment and delivering CPR at floor level when required.
As part of the role, you must be comfortable working in both clinical and mobile environments, responding to the needs of the service as they arise.
Please note that all successful candidates will be required to undertake and pass a drivers medical in line with role requirements.

About the role:
As an Urgent Care Assistant, you will be required to undertake a dual role of driving and reception work to support the efficient operation of Integrated Urgent Care services across the South West locality.
We operate a 24/7, 365 days a year service, on a rolling 4-week rota pattern to be agreed following a successful interview, providing care to our service users. The role will involve non-clinical support to clinicians and patients who use the NHS 111 and GP Out of Hours service.
A degree of flexibility will be required, and there may be the occasional opportunity to work outside of your contracted hours to facilitate the smooth operational running of the service.
Our Urgent Care service operates across Wiltshire, with bases in Chippenham, Keynsham, Salisbury and Swindon. If successful your rota may include a variety of the below hours:
- Monday Friday 18:15/18:30 23:00 (Evenings)
- Monday Friday 23:00 08:00 (Overnights)
- Saturday - Monday 0800 - 08:00 - (Encompassing AM/PM/Evening or Overnight Shifts)
Please note that overnight working will be required as part of this role and will make up part of the required working rota (23.00-8.00)
Your key duties will include:
Driving
- Driving Clinicians to the patient's home in a safe and legal manner adhering to current driving regulations.
- Perform basic vehicle checks at the beginning and end of shifts ensuring they are roadworthy, fuelled and fully equipped.
- Accurate recording of all medications and consumables used while on shift.
Base
- To be the first point of contact for the patient or carer/relative in our designated Treatment Centres.
- Supporting Clinicians while you are on shift.
- Communicating with patients both in person and via the telephone (comfort & welfare checks).
- Ensure the Treatment Centre is kept clean and tidy.
Medication and Stock Management:
- Using a variety of computer systems to accurately maintain stock levels of medication and consumables.
- Replenishing car stock at the end of your shift.
- Understand stock rotation and expiry dates on weekly delivery of medications and consumables

You will work across our Care Coordination service in hours and to support our Urgent Care service out of hours. Our Care Coordination shifts are based at our Chippenham Head Office and our out of hours sessions will be based at one of our Primary Care Centres.
The Role
As a Prescribing Clinician within our Care Coordination function, you will:
- Act as a senior clinical decision-maker, supporting the triage, assessment and redirection of patients across the wider health and care system
- Work collaboratively with ambulance services, primary care, community services and secondary care, ensuring patients are safely managed in the most appropriate setting
- Provide real-time clinical support to ambulance crews, identifying suitable alternative pathways to avoid unnecessary conveyance to Emergency Departments
- Deliver clinical assessment, diagnosis and prescribing, where appropriate, through a combination of remote consultations, face-to-face care, and home visiting
Alongside care coordination responsibilities, you will also support our wider urgent care service through a variety of shifts, including:
- Triage shifts based at Head Office, reviewing NHS111 and system referrals
- Face-to-face shifts at Primary Care Centres (Chippenham, Salisbury, Keynsham and Swindon)
- Mobile/home visiting shifts, supporting patients unable to travel, with access to a fully equipped vehicle and driver

- Support system-wide patient flow, ensuring timely access to appropriate services and reducing pressure on urgent and emergency care pathways

We have an exciting opportunity for an independent, autonomous Prescribing Clinicians to support our Urgent Care service within the out of hours (OOH) period both during the week and on weekends across the Bath, Swindon and Wiltshire locality.
Working from our Chippenham Headquarters and/or from one of our Primary Care Centres, as an Independent, autonomous Prescribing Clinician you will work as part of our multidisciplinary team to deliver safe and timely care to those accessing our Integrated Urgent Care Service, providing a variety of shift opportunities to include:
Face to face shifts based at one of our Primary Care Centres in Chippenham, Salisbury, Keynsham or Swindon.
Mobile shifts undertaking home visits to patients who are unable to travel to a primary care centre, supported with a fully equipped medical car.
Triage shifts based at Head Office in Chippenham.
Our service works to coordinate health and care services to patients and where clinically appropriate, utilise alternative pathways to emergency admission.

About the role
Our Enhanced Clinical Practitioners provide care through the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge or referral of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed injury/illness, or acute exacerbation of existing conditions. You will assist in the development of an integrated approach to the delivery of patient care across the whole system of health and social care, working in partnership with all relevant stakeholders.
The key elements of the role include but are not limited to:
Working as an autonomous practitioner with the support of an Advanced Clinical Practitioner or GP, providing clinical assessment, diagnosis (where possible), and treatment (where appropriate) for adult and paediatric patients invited to attend our Primary Care Centres or during remote consultations.
Accurately triaging & prioritising all patients, demonstrating the use of a variety of techniques to elicit the history of an event / illness including past medical and drug history.
