About us
The list size is around 16 800 patients, with no nursing homes in our catchment area, although we do cover a few specialists learning disability homes. There is a total of 11 GPs - 8 partners and 3 salaried GPs at full recruitment. We have a wide range of skills and experience and would be happy to accommodate for GPs with specialist interests. We are experienced in teaching and do take short term placement for training. We are also happy to support and mentor newly qualified GPs.
We try to keep paperwork to a minimum and have a team of administrative staff who will type letters and complete forms on your behalf. We also have a dedicated prescription lead who deals with most of the repeat scripts, TTOs and queries to help reduce the time spent dealing with prescriptions. We try to be as fair as possible with sharing work out you will not be expected to take on any additional work without prior agreement, and the partners will share out the visits equally amongst all the doctors on the day. On average there are 1 visit per doctor each day. On average GPs are on call once every 2 weeks. We meet for coffee every morning after surgery to have a catch up and an informal chat. There is a weekly clinical meeting every Thursday morning.
