As a staff nurse on the ward, you will work closely with service users and their relatives/ carers as part of a multi-disciplinary team - you will lead the way as a role model within the team, demonstrating compassionate leadership through the Trust Values and Behaviours. You will be a core part of the team for the ward, supporting and developing a collective approach to leadership and the development of the ward in conjunction with the team, patients and carers.
The successful postholder will improve the lives of those with mental ill health by minimising the impact of their condition through delivery of excellent services to promote recovery.

Job overview We are delighted to be able to offer an opportunity for a highly motivated, ambitious individual to join the Intensive Care Medicine team at The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust. Public Heath Wales Microbiology operates as a network of laboratories with Regional Laboratories across Wales.
The Band 4 Associate Practitioner post based in the Anaerobe Reference Unit at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff provides supervision and support to a team of laboratory support workers and undertakes reference laboratory procedures with supervision. The successful candidates will gain experience in a reference laboratory service using molecular and conventional microbiology techniques.

Main duties of the job
Duties will include preparing, checking and processing of samples as well as data entry into the laboratory information system. The Rotherham 0-19 Childrens Public Health Nursing Service are looking to recruit a dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated Specialist Community Public Health Nurse with initiative and drive in order to deliver high quality public health nursing.
You should be able to demonstrate a commitment to collaborative working with a focus on the child, be committed to achieving positive health outcomes for children and families in Rotherham, as well as a keen interest in developing services.
You will need to have excellent communication and organisational skills, be willing to facilitate and support change in service delivery, have the ability to work autonomously and as part of an integrated skill mix team. We offer flexible and agile working options.
An in depth knowledge of the current health agenda relating to children's services is essential.
The successful applicants will work in a well-supported team with close links to other professionals both internally and externally to the trust.
You will have an important role in recognising and protecting vulnerable children and liaising with our partner agencies.
The successful candidate will work across the 0-19 service ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and high-quality services to a caseload of babies, children, young people and their families - using research-based evidence to inform practice with agreed professional standards.

Main duties of the job
- To provide a consistent, effective, accessible and appropriate 0-19 Service for children, young people and their families
- To work in partnership with agencies and families
- To signpost to partner agencies where assessed as required
- To lead the delivery of public health and universal and targeted interventions across the 0-19 years age range for a defined population and will be delivered in line with the National and Local guidelines and public health priorities.
- The team will work proactively using a partnership approach to promote health and contribute to tackling health inequalities within the level of competencies required for the post.
- You will work with children, young people and families within the home environment, school or other identified community setting.

Nightingale House is a 13 bedded, mixed gender rehab unit within walking distance to both Westbourne shops & the beach. We support people who have chronic mental health problems that may be treatment resistant, often providing a stepping stone for those who have previously spent long periods in hospital
We work to provide a seamless transition from inpatient into the community, ensuring the patient is supported on this stage of their recovery. Staff work to facilitate further recovery, that can include supporting self-medication, gaining skills for more independent living such as cooking, shopping, budgeting & supporting individuals to access community activities
Our vision is to provide a service that is fully integrated with the local community & the resources it can provide
This role requires a registered professional who is motivated, driven and passionate about developing an outstanding service
Induction will be provided plus additional & varied training opportunities
This is a fulltime (37.5 hours per week) post that covers both days, nights and weekends on rotation
This is a fixed term role and for those with current NHS service, the role will be offered on a secondment basis only. Please obtain permission to be released on a secondment before submitting an application.
Main duties of the job
To assist the Ward Manager in providing high quality nursing care and treatment of patients in conjunction with other professionals through the service's multi-disciplinary assessment, treatment, interventions and care programmes, which will include close liaison with family, carers, community teams, GP's, and other professionals involved in theperson's care, enabling them to move on to the community as soon as is practicable.
To work with people to help them acquire or regain the skills and confidence required for them to ultimately live in the community. Focusing on addressing and minimising the symptoms and functional impairment that people may have, with an emphasis on achieving as much individual autonomy and independence as possible.
To develop therapeutic relationships with individuals and engage them in collaborative and effective partnership working to achieve agreed goals.
To contribute to the provision of a daily structure and range of effective clinical interventions, so as to balance the therapeutic needs of the person with the need for support and security, and to promote their individuality and autonomy in the least restrictive environment.
