Band 4 Respiratory Physiologist
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and develop to become an Assistant Clinical Respiratory Physiologist.
This is a period of ever expanding service for the department and this is an opportunity for you to be involved in the continued development of a laboratory where scientific process, data quality and patient experience are at the core of the daily activities.
Main duties of the job
You will train to perform a range of respiratory function investigations under the supervision of the Respiratory Physiologists. You will also gain skills in performing basic diagnostic procedures and treatment provision in our sleep and ventilation service. Once in post, you will undertake an in-service training program and when ready to do so, will complete a professional qualification exam. For the right candidate, there is also the possibility for future study whilst in post.

Job summary
Band 5 Respiratory Physiologist
The provision of diagnostic assessment services in Respiratory Physiology and the therapeutic monitoring of patients with lung disease and sleep disordered breathing.
Applicants who are invited for interview should be prepared to discuss various relevant aspects of running a respiratory physiology service. Interpretation of full lung function, sleep studies and CPAP data may be required.
Applicants will also be required to provide a 10 minute (8 slides maximum) PowerPoint presentation covering the brief - 'Next steps in community diagnostics'.
A short practical assessment may also be performed covering one of the following measurements: FeNO, Spirometry, simulated bronchodilator response, TLCO, static lung volumes.
Main duties of the job
To perform respiratory physiological measurements in accordance with ARTP/BTS National Guidelines and Departmental Standards at various trust locations.
To train and supervise department staff to perform the basic respiratory physiological measurements in accordance with ARTP/BTS National Guidelines and Departmental Standards.
The maintenance of equipment, stocks of consumables, accurate record keeping.
The instruction of student nurses and doctors, trainee physiotherapists and pharmacists, junior doctors, staff nurses, GPs and practice nurses, etc., in lung function testing.

Non-Smoking Policy
The Trusts approach to smoking is in line with the governments on-going initiatives for an eventual smoke-free environment. It aims to adhere to the Worcestershire Health Community Campaign to help Worcestershire stop smoking.
A no smoking environment policy exists within all Trust premises including entrances and exits to hospital buildings and on other Trust property. In June 2014 a ban was implanted which meant staff, contractors and volunteers were no longer permitted to smoke in any of the hospital grounds, including car parks.
Further to this, The Alexandra, Kidderminster and Worcestershire Royal Hospitals, have all become smoke free to all patients and visitors as of 17 June 2015. This means that, as well as staff, members of the public, patients and visitors are not allowed to smoke in any of the acute hospital grounds, including car parks.

Non-Smoking Policy

Newcastle Hospitals Skills Academy (NHSA) is the commercial training academy for Newcastle Hospitals, facilitating CPD training to internal colleagues and fee-paying learners from across the wider health-care system.

The Family Health Worker will work within the Plymouth Public Health Nursing Team; which includes Health Visitors, School Nurses and Family Health Workers. Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 8a Practitioner Psychologist or Psychotherapist to work with COAST (Croydon Early Intervention Service). This is our Early Interventions for Psychosis (EIP) service, offering a psychological therapy service to service-users and their networks. This is a fixed term temporary position for 12 months. It could be a secondment arrangement.
This is a newly created position to help reduce waiting times and create a more responsive psychological therapy service.
We are looking for a motivated clinician who is passionate about working in an early intervention service with people with a diagnosis of psychosis and with their families and networks. The successful applicant will have good engagement skills, think creatively, work flexibly and have a range of skills in working collaboratively alongside others. Croydon is a racially and ethnically diverse borough and we are looking for a clinician who can work with cultural humility and will actively support our anti-racism agenda.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will contribute to the work of the COAST team providing direct and indirect psychological therapeutic interventions for service-users, groups and families. Direct, evidence-based, interventions include CBT for psychosis, trauma-focussed CBT, EMDR, and family interventions. Our longest waiting times are for CBT and trauma-focussed interventions - tf-CBT and EMDR, and we welcome applicants who are skilled in these approaches.
The post would ideally work Thursday and either Monday or Friday and the other half day remotely.

Job summary

Job Summary
1. Work as a member of the Health Visiting service within a designated locality supporting the Health Visiting Team to deliver on public health priorities in Somerset to children and families in line current national Public Health Agendas, working to National and Local objectives as defined by Service Specifications under the supervision and guidance of a Health Visitor.
2. Work with vulnerable children and families in line with national and local policies relating to safeguarding children and to provide specialist support and advice to children, families and schools regarding the health and wellbeing needs of children. Reporting to Health Visitor.
3.Work in partnership with other agencies, particularly the Local Authority, including children social care and early years settings. Support the delivery of programmes of intervention for individual children and families.
4. Deliver national and local programmes on an individual, group and community level. Supervise and guide the Health Visitor team assistant practitioners and administrator.
Key Responsibilities under supervision and guidance of the Health Visitors
5. Participate in the delivery of the National Healthy Child Programme 0-5 years, including developmental checks as allocated, attendance at baby clinics.
6.Identify need through Family Health Needs Assessment and provide personalised advice, support and interventions to parents and carers regarding health and social issues. Complete contemporaneous electronic record keeping including report writing and client records in line with the organisations policies and NMC code of Practice.
7. Participate in the promotion and delivery of young people's clinics in partnership with the educational and community establishments to promote general health and wellbeing of children and young people.
8. Work collaboratively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team with other agencies to maximise the Health Visiting service contribution to health improvements in the local community.
9. Facilitate and deliver targeted groups in a variety of settings.
10. Contribute to the delivery of health and social learning programmes for young people with identified needs.
11.Contribute to the delivery of care programmes for vulnerable children in conjunction with the Health Visiting team, families, school and other professionals.
12. Liaise with Health Visiting teams regarding children who may have additional needs relating to transition between pre-school and school and support the transition.
13. Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced midwife to join our Fetal Medicine Unit team as the Preterm Birth Specialist midwife. Only midwives with 3 years post preceptorship experience will be considered. You must have completed a UK preceptorship.
Main duties of the job
The role requires you to:
- ensure that the preterm birth service is offered and delivered appropriately to the cohort of women/birthing people who are at risk of preterm birth.
Provide clinical midwifery care to women/birthing people at risk of preterm birth. Triage referrals and ensure the allocation of women/birthing persons on to the appropriate care pathways, this may involve autonomous review of some women/birthing people who meet the criteria for review of cervical length images performed and facilitating the appropriate follow up care, including discharge for women/birthing people with measurements within normal limits.
Provide appropriate counselling and able to cope with highly distressing or emotional circumstances e.g. on diagnosis of a high risk of having a preterm labour and birth. Guide and support junior staff in this situation.Support the clinical teams and work clinically as required during periods of increased activity. Be visible and accessible in the clinical area to support the multidisciplinary team in undertaking their role. This includes reviewing women/birthing people on the antenatal, labour and postnatal wards and liaising with the relevant professional in the multiprofessional team.
Act as a resource for colleagues and provide expert knowledge.

A part-time vacancy has arisen in our Academic Directorate of Cardiology & Cardiothoracic Surgery to support the Research Coordinator. The role involves providing administrative support to the cardiology research team and data coordination of cardiology research studies. This is a blended role, both elements of social prescribing and health & wellbeing coach are required.

General Practice is moving towards a neighbourhood model of working and the work carried out within our health inequalities teams plays an important aspect as we work towards this.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a wider team across both Preston PCNs covering the Heart of Lancashire GP Federation footprint.
Main duties of the job
You will be part of our health inequalities team, the role will be a mix of social prescribing and health and wellbeing coach.
Our approach to social prescribing is to support patients referred via a clinician with access and signposting to empower them to make better choices and enable them to access services who can support addressing their health and social needs.
As part of our Targeted Demand Management strategy, this will require more intense support of particular cohorts of patients, offering them more 1:1 advice, guidance and assistance to achieve an improvement in their health.
There will also be a requirement to liaise with community groups, attend events and offer general health advice and information. This will require simply tests such as blood pressure, height & weight etc. All equipment and training will be provided.

Preston North & East is a large Primary Care Network (PCN) made up of 8 practices and covers a registered population of approximately 108,000 patients.
We have recently become part of the newly formed Heart of Lancashire GP Federation and work closely with our neighbouring PCNs, both in Preston and across Central Lancashire.
Issa Medical is the lead practice for the PCN and will host this role. We have 2 practices, 1 in Deepdale and1 in Fulwood. the remaining PCN practices are in the Ribbleton, Avenham, Longridge and Fulwood areas.
You will be required to work across more than one practice and attend events across Preston.

The post holder will play a key role in supporting patients to improve their health, wellbeing and independence through a personalised, person-centred approach.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Corporate Partnerships Manager to lead the development and growth of our corporate fundraising and trusts and grants income streams. This is an exciting opportunity to secure vital funding that enables us to provide outstanding care and support to patients and families across Sheffield. You will develop and deliver ambitious income generation strategies, build meaningful partnerships with businesses, trusts and foundations, and maximise opportunities to generate sustainable income growth. You will also provide leadership and support to the Corporate Fundraiser and Trusts & Grants Manager, helping to create a high-performing and collaborative team. This role would suit someone with experience in fundraising, business development, account management or partnership management who thrives on relationship building and achieving results.
Main duties of the job
The successful postholder will: Develop and implement corporate fundraising and trusts and grants strategies to achieve income targets. Identify, secure and grow partnerships with local and national businesses, trusts and foundations. Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate supporters and funders through excellent stewardship and engagement. Develop compelling funding proposals, presentations and partnership opportunities. Monitor income performance and provide regular reporting against agreed targets and objectives. Lead and support the Corporate Fundraiser and Trusts & Grants Manager, providing effective supervision, motivation and development. Work collaboratively with colleagues across St Luke's to maximise fundraising opportunities and demonstrate the impact of supporter contributions. Represent St Luke's at meetings, networking events and partnership activities across Sheffield and the surrounding area. The role involves regular travel across Sheffield and the surrounding area, with occasional evening and weekend working. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
