Our Integrated mental health and substance Misuse team at HMP Stafford is looking for a dynamic and experienced registered mental health nurse. Our team is innovative, forward thinking and works within trauma informed principles. This is an exciting and diverse role for an individual who is passionate about providing excellent quality nursing care. You will have the privilege to influence and shape the provision of high-quality mental health care to those within a custodial environment. Would you like to develop your skills and build your confidence in dealing with a wide range of situations and working with partner agencies to provide the best care to people within the prison. Are you enthusiastic about working within an ever changing prison environment, do you enjoy collaborating and working within a full multi-disciplinary team to ensure varied and comprehensive interventions are delivered in-line with the stepped care model, do you have an excellent working knowledge of the Mental Health Act and its application to a custodial setting where transfers to hospital may be required, then this is the job for you!
Main duties of the job
Working effectively within the team you will provide evidence based interventions. You will manage a caseload and will be required to undertake assessments and reviews. Provision of mental health interventions to Service Users within the prison establishment across wellbeing, primary and secondary mental health. This will involve being responsible for managing their own caseload, including assessments, care planning, delivering interventions and reviewing care of patients located within the prison with a mental illness, within the framework of the multi-disciplinary team and Care Programme Approach. Post holders are expected to work as an integral member of the multidisciplinary, multi-agency team to provide advice and support to primary health care based within the prison and to liaise with, and provide advice and support to statutory and non-statutory agencies. To provide specialist mental health interventions to service users in the prison.Delivering groups on a variety of mental health interventions using trauma informed principles.Provide where need has been identified 1:1 psychological based intervention's.

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Working in an identified adult community eating disorder pathway.Delivering a high-quality clinical service to patients and their families.

This is a unique opportunity for a motivated individual who has personal experience with the Criminal Justice System or prison custody.
The position is perfect for someone eager to use their Lived experience in prison and the Criminal Justice Service to assist others who have faced similar challenges. You will help them connect with support networks.
The outreach Service covers Shropshire, with its base being in Shrewsbury.
Training will be given and Experience of support work is desirable but not required as the role depends more upon your ability to use your personal experience to support others and your desire to do so whilst being part of a NHS team that is supportive, approachable and dedicated to the role.
The ability to commute independently across the Shropshire area is essential.

Job summary
We are pleased to offer a Band 7 Psychologist post to a newly qualified or soon to be qualified Clinical or Counselling Psychologist, in our vibrant and friendly team based in Burton.
We are an integrated mental health team serving adults in our local community, made up of a range of professionals who are passionate about implementing psychologically informed care through shared goals and initiatives. Psychology is embedded in the team through Psychologists, Psychological Therapists, Clinical Associates in Psychology and Assistant Psychologists to deliver evidence-based individual and group therapies. We also support the team to deliver psychologically informed care through consultation, training, supervision and service development. As the psychological professionals in the team we work together closely, including regular psychology meetings to offer shared reflective space and opportunities for learning and development. Psychologists are part of the leadership both in the service and the wider Trust. The development of psychological services throughout the trust is supported through regular meetings, supervision and an annual conference for psychological services.
Main duties of the job
You will work closely with other psychology staff who use a range of approaches including CBT, EMDR, ISTDP, CFT, ACT and MBT. We have strong links with the Clinical Psychology Doctorate course at Staffordshire University and regularly offer trainee placements and teaching.
There are frequent opportunities to develop our clinical and leadership skills. The Trust has robust in-house training in a range of areas including staging the full range of accredited EMDR training and the leadership training. Training and interests are further supported through a range of supervision and interest groups including in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Therapy (ISTDP), EMDR and Compassion-Focused Therapy. We are actively supported in our development through a robust and collaborative appraisal process.
Applicants should have previous experience of working in mental health teams in the NHS and knowledge and skills in working with people who present with severe and enduring mental health difficulties.

The post holder will support the delivery a high quality, comprehensive mental health service for children and young people with emotional health/mental health difficulties. The role involves managing a defined caseload with a focus on working with children and young people and their families who experience a complex range of needs and difficulties. Acting as a key member of the team, the post holder will provide assessment, psychosocial, evidence-based interventions using a collaborative approach and will be skilled at risk assessment and management. They will provide supervision for other team members in an area of interest such as family work, safeguarding, SEND as agreed with the Operational Manager.
They will lead on supporting the team with the whole school approach developments and evaluation and offer liaison, advice and consultation with schools and a wide range of external agencies.
Main duties of the job
Take responsibility for the management of a complex caseload, which includes, specialist assessment (within service specification), and care planning in conjunction with service user and carer, evaluation of individual treatment plans for CYP with mental health needs.
Responsible for participating in the setting of quality standards, including the auditing, monitoring and reviewing of practice in line with current clinical guidance practice and policy.
Assess patient's individual care needs, develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care.
Deliver a range of interventions in accordance with the agreed plan of care and Pathway guidance.
Complete and contribute, where appropriate to robust risk assessments and risk management plans. Deliver and promote positive risk taking, where appropriate, to improve quality of life and maximise occupational performance/independence.
Maintain an effective reporting system by observing and reporting verbally and in writing on patient conditions.
To encourage and support service user and carer involvement and participation.
To attend and contribute to MHST business and development forums.
Utilise agreed outcome measures to review the effectiveness of interventions, as part of the care planning and evaluation process. Assist in ensuring that the aims and objectives of the service are fulfilled and to identify factors which may inhibit these from being achieved.

Ascend is an evidence-based, psychological service, working in partnership with localvoluntary sector services (Staffordshire Women's Aid/Survive), and alongside existing NHS services, including Talking Therapies and secondary mental health services.
The PWP role is to assess and support people accessing the Ascend service, undertaking patient-centred interviews which identifies areas where the person wished to see change and or recovery, and makes an accurate assessment of risk to self and others. The role will use a range of information and support for evidence based psychological treatments, providing Step 2 interventions in the form of both 1:1 treatment and groups.
The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities
Main duties of the job

Accept referrals via agreed protocols within the service.

Assess and support people accessing the Ascend Service, a service for people aged 16 and above who have experienced sexual assault or abuse.

Undertake patient-centred assessments which identifies areas where the person wishes to see change and or recovery and makes an accurate assessment of risk to self and others.

Make decisions on suitability of new referrals with appropriate levels of supervision, adhering to the service's referral protocols, refers unsuitable clients on to the relevant service or back to the referral agent as necessary.

Provide a range of information and support for evidence based psychological treatments. This work may be face to face, telephone, workshops or via other media.

Adhere to an agreed activity contract relating to the overall number of client contacts offered, and clinical sessions carried out per week in order to minimise waiting times and ensure treatment delivery remains accessible and convenient.

Provide a minimum of two hours per week step 2 treatment with patients aged 16+ within an adult service. This clinical practice must include both assessment and 1:1 treatment, groups via live interventions

- To accurately maintain and keep secure patient health and staff records/systems in line with policy and standard operating procedure, to ensure data quality, confidentiality and compliance with the current Data Protection Law.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding information concerning patients, staff and sensitive Trust Business at all times.
- To carry out reception duties including meeting and greeting service users, carers, relatives and visitors, as requested by the Admin Support Supervisor and/or the Admin Team Leader.

An opportunity for a motivated Nurse to join our established School Aged Immunisation Service (SAIS) delivering the School Age vaccination programme in schools and community clinics in Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent
The successful candidates will demonstrate enthusiasm, energy and a passion for delivering the best care possible and have knowledge of the childhood immunisation schedule. The job role requires good time management, leadership and IT skills and you will be expected to work on your own initiative as well as within a team. You will promote vaccination and where appropriate, the health of children aged 0-19 within the Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent areas through the public health agenda, thus enabling each child to reach his/her development, and educational potential.
We are looking for applicants who can work the core hours of 8am - 4pm Monday - Friday but with flexibility to be able to work evenings and/or weekends to meet the needs of the service.

- To adhere to and apply the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Code of Conduct and all other relevant guidance from the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) and the Trust. To be professionally accountable and responsible for all aspects of own work.2. To undertake appropriate health assessments prior to Immunisation, in line with national guidance, Immunisation policy and the best evidence based practice. - ADHD assessment involving the interpretation and integration of complex data from a variety of sources including psychological and where appropriate self report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi structured interviews.Autism assessment involves contributing to and leading on specialistassessments for children with complex social, interaction and communication difficulties.
