Job summary
Ready for a career that's truly different?
Mountain Healthcare is one of the UKs leading providers of forensic custody healthcare. Working in partnership with the police, and wider criminal justice agencies, we deliver high quality care to some of the most vulnerable people in our communities. We are proud to be guided by our core values of Being Kind and Doing the Right Thing.
We are now recruiting Forensic Custody Healthcare Professionals (RGNs and Paramedics) to deliver specialist healthcare within police custody.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a respected forensic role where no two shifts are the same, no custody experience is required as full accredited training is provided. Your clinical decisions will directly support detainee welfare, safeguarding, and the wider criminal justice process.
If you're an experienced clinician with at least three years' experience in an acute setting who enjoys independent decision making, fast paced assessments, and meaningful work that genuinely makes a difference, this could be the ideal next step in your career.
Main duties of the job
As a Forensic Custody Healthcare Professional, you will work autonomously within police custody suites, assessing and caring for detainees with a wide range of physical health, mental health, substance misuse and vulnerability-related needs.
This is a specialist clinical role where no two shifts are the same.
You will assess fitness for detention, interview, charge and release; respond to acute medical episodes; provide healthcare advice; support safeguarding decisions; and work closely with custody teams, police officers and partner agencies.
Flexible full-time and part-time opportunities are available within a supportive, values-driven clinical team.
About us
Founded by passionate clinicians on a mission to provide expert patient-centred services, Mountain Healthcare leads the clinical forensic healthcare provisions sector in the UK.
A premier partner of NHS England and the police, our unique provisions include Sexual Assault Referral Centres (SARCs), Police Custodial Healthcare, Secure Estate Healthcare and clinical telephone advice.
Driven by our values Be Kind and Do the Right Thing, Mountain Healthcare provides holistic and trauma-informed care that improves the immediate and long-term health outcomes of patients across the criminal justice system.
Through innovative technologies and strategic partnerships, our expert clinicians ensure equal, effective and efficient services to all our patients and always put their health, safety and rights first.
Clinical forensic healthcare is a rapidly growing career path as demand for specialist critical services has greatly increased in recent years.
At Mountain Healthcare, we understand that to provide the highest quality services for our patients and customers, our people must be the best in the field.
We are proud to offer unrivalled staff training and development opportunities such as our unique Forensic Practitioner Gateway, our wide range of accredited and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses, and access to events across the health and justice sector.

Funding Variation Advisory Group - Members
NICE – The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence View all jobs
Posted 18 day(s) ago
Reference: 2431515
Job summary
We are recruiting for professional members to join the Funding Variation Advisory Group (FVAG) in the following professions:
- Clinicians - across a broad range of areas and specialties.
- Commissioners - national and regional.
- Pharmacists.
- NHS finance professionals
NICE updated the process for managing funding variation requests in September 2026 and part of this includes the development of a funding variation advisory group (FVAG).
The Funding Variation Advisory Group will be an advisory body comprising a range of NHS professionals and lay members. The group will review funding variation requests submitted to NICE and provide advice on specific questions posed by NICE's Guidance Executive (GE).Funding variation requests and associated questions will be shared with members electronically, via email.
As this is an exceptional process, it is difficult to predict how many funding variation requests NICE will receive and how they will be distributed across the calendar year. Based on current information, we anticipate receiving approximately 3 to 5 requests per year across a range of clinical specialties.
If you have an access requirement that prevents you from applying online, please contact [email protected] and we can provide MS word versions of the forms to complete.
Main duties of the job
Main duties of the job
Responsibilities:
- Set aside enough time to contribute to the review of the funding variation request and use their personal and professional knowledge to provide additional scrutiny and expert advice to assist the NICE Guidance Executive in assessing funding variation requests.
- Contribute positively to the work of the advisory group and to reviewing the funding variation request.
- Raise any concerns about the process or the details in the funding variation request with NICE, and try to resolve these issues with support from the wider advisory group and NICE commercial liaison team.
- Take full account of the evidence in responding to queries by GE.
- Act in a professional manner, show good manners and be courteous to colleagues and staff at all times (advisory group members should behave in a polite, efficient and respectful manner and without bias or favour, using the highest standards of conduct expected in public life and service while on NICE duty).

About us
Expenses:
Information on reimbursement can be found here. Currently all advisory group contributions will be via email with no committee meetings.
Should this change in the future NICE will pay reasonable out-of-pocket expenses, including train fares and hotel costs when necessary, for attending committee meetings. NICE recognises that in some circumstances individuals will need to arrange for carers or support workers to accompany them to a meeting, or to take over unpaid caring responsibilities while they are at a meeting - this includes childcare or care of a family member with a disability or other additional needs. The circumstances in which NICE can provide reimbursement for such costs are outlined in the non-staff reimbursement policy.
Membership:
Membership will be for 3 years and will be eligible for renewal. The second and further periods of office will be for periods of up to 3 years by mutual agreement, upto a maximum of 10 years. Members may leave the group at any time; however, they must notify NICE in writing and provide a minimum of four weeks' notice.

Programme Manager

Job summary
Help shape the future of NHS People Services
This is an opportunity to be part of one of the NHS's most ambitious workforce transformation programmes. We are looking for three Programme Managers with experience across Digital, Service Design and People Change.
The Transforming People Services (TPS) programme is reimagining how People Services are delivered across the NHS, moving from fragmented and heavily manual processes towards simpler, more connected, digitally enabled and user-centred services. Our ambition is to improve the experience of NHS staff and managers, increase productivity and enable the People profession to focus more of its time on the things that matter most to organisations and their people.
For London, this means translating national ambition into transformation that works across a large and complex health system. The London Programme Delivery team provides the leadership, coordination and delivery capability to make that happen, working across Digital, Service Design and People & Change
Main duties of the job
The opportunity
As a Programme Manager, you will sit at the heart of TPS delivery in London, taking responsibility for turning ambitious transformation plans into tangible outcomes.
You will lead and coordinate a key programme workstream, bringing together senior leaders, subject matter experts, NHS organisations, programme teams and delivery partners. You will create the structure and momentum needed to move from design to delivery, ensuring plans are robust, dependencies are understood, risks are actively managed and progress remains focused on measurable outcomes and benefits.
This is not simply a programme reporting role. We are looking for someone who can get underneath complex issues, bring people together, challenge constructively and make things happen.
About us
Who we are looking for
We are looking for an ambitious, resilient and highly organised programme professional who is comfortable operating in complexity and passionate about delivering meaningful change at scale.
You will bring significant experience of complex programme delivery, transformation or large-scale improvement, ideally within the NHS, healthcare or wider public sector. You will understand how to translate strategic ambition into practical delivery and will be confident working with senior leaders, programme boards and multidisciplinary teams.
We are particularly interested in candidates who bring experience in People & Change, Digital transformation or Service Design.
When applying please confirm which of the three roles you are applying for.
Why join TPS?
Because this is a chance to do more than manage a programme.
