There are two vacancies to recruit to.

This post is based in Dragon Square, Newcastle Under Lyme, it will also include some home working to be agreed with operational/clinical lead and some possible home visits.

The post holder will be expected to work with multi-disciplinary colleagues across the existing Autism and ADHD services. The post holder will liaise with other services in North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare where appropriate and with wider professionals and services including charities and educational settings.

The post holder will work collaboratively with children and young people, their parents/carers, and other professionals to provide support for those waiting over 104 weeks for a neurodevelopmental (ND) assessment. This will include contacting them and offering information and guidance and ensuring timely and appropriate signposting to relevant services and sources of support throughout the waiting period.

The post holder could be required to liaise with a wide range of partner agencies and service providers, including Local Authorities, education settings, Specialist Children, Young People and Families' Services (e.g. Speech and Language Therapy), Primary Care, voluntary and charitable organisations, and other healthcare providers, to ensure a coordinated approach to care and support.

The successful candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of local and national support services and will use this expertise to provide effective, person-centred signposting, helping children, young people and their families access the most appropriate support while awaiting assessment.

The pathway navigator will ensure that the children and young people are well while waiting for their Neurodevelopmental assessments by signposting parents, carers and young people to further support. The Autism Assessment Service are looking to recruit to a full time, Band 6 ASD Practitioner.

The successful candidate will:

Hold a caseload providing specialist assessment, formulation and therapeutic intervention to children and young people with a suspected Autistic Spectrum Disorder and/or with other neurodevelopmental/learning disabilities, complex emotional, psychological and behavioural difficulties, and their families.

Provide advice and offering support, consultation and training to staff within the service and other agencies where appropriate. Effectively liaising with all agencies involved with the service user.

Plan, prioritise and manage own clinical caseload and personal programme of continuing professional development. Working autonomously in accordance with professional codes of practice and Trust policies and procedures.

In consultation and collaboration with the Principal Clinical Psychologist, other team members and service users contribute to the ongoing development and provision of services to children and young people with an ASD or suspected to have an ASD.

Are you a Clinical Psychologist who is passionate about delivering compassionate support to families accessing the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit? Are you ready to step into a clinical leadership post?

This is a varied Clinical Psychology role; providing assessment, formulation and intervention to families accessing the NICU; working creatively to support staff teams providing care in a challenging but rewarding setting; with support, developing psychology as part of the NICU MDT. You will also represent the LMNS in the local neonatal workstream and provide clinical supervision to other clinical psychologists working locally.

The post holder would join our friendly multi-disciplinary team based on the NICU, working closely with the perinatal and maternal mental health psychology team (within community perinatal mental health services). Supervision will be provided by a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and the postholder will be supported by the Neonatal Network Lead.

We offer excellent clinical supervision and support. There are a wide range of CPD opportunities available. The post is hospital based and will involve a combination of face to face and remote working.

The Neonatal Unit at Royal Stoke University Hospital, University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust, is a busy and dynamic Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

There are 26 cots in total: 10 x intensive care cots, 6 x High Dependency cots and 14 x Special Care cots. There is a 10 bedded Transitional Care Unit and a Neonatal Community Outreach Team, who support discharge from the NICU and transition to home.

There are approximately 6500-6800 births per year a Royal Stoke University Hospital, at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust.

The Neonatal Unit at UHNM supports approximately 600 admissions per year.

We provide care at all levels, to babies and their families, from within Stoke and Stafford area, regionally within the West Midlands Neonatal Network, and beyond.

We care for babies born at 22 weeks gestation to >42weeks gestation.

Admission to the unit is via the Delivery Suite, directly linked to the NICU, and can be via planned or emergency delivery.

The NICU Team are trained to attend deliveries, to stabilise and transfer the preterm/term infant to the NICU, and then continue to deliver individualised and high quality care, for the duration of the baby's neonatal journey.

We also work to support deliveries in the Interventional Radiography Department and work closely with our colleagues in the Fetal Medicine and Antenatal Screening Departments.

We are excited to launch our brand-new Forensic Liaison Partnership Team within the NSCHT Mental Health Rehabilitation pathway.We are looking to recruit an Assistant Psychologist on a 2 year fixed term basis, to play a key role in the development of this innovative service. We aim to produce a highly skilled team who will support service users transitioning from secure care into the community.

This is a rare and fantastic opportunity to be part of an evolving team that will strengthen the interface between the forensic mental health service and community mental health teams. The Forensic Liaison Partnership team will work to support safe and effective transitions between services and provide support to non-forensic community teams and service users in reducing the risk of readmission to secure care.

To support and enhance the professional psychological care of people within the Forensic Liaison Service.
