Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Physiotherapist to work as part of the Community Outpatient Physiotherapy Services . Clinically you will work in the Physiotherapy Department at the Friarage Hospital Northallerton and Community Outpatient Venues across H & R and Tees. Time will be split roughly 50:50 across H & R and Tees.
This is a Fixed Term Contract and secondment opportunities for current University Hospitals Tees (UHT) staff will be considered but they must seek approval from their current manager before applying.
The service receives referrals from many sources including Consultants and GPs and operates from a number of different venues.
Applications are invited from Physiotherapists who have post graduate experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy as well as an interest and enthusiasm in this field. The team is friendly and supportive and senior specialists offer clinical supervision and support.
Successful applicants will be part of the Physiotherapy Service in the Trust and there are opportunities for case discussions and an In-Service Training Programme. Staff are also supported in their continuous professional development through clinical supervision. Participation in audit and research is encouraged.
Main duties of the job
To provide an effective and efficient clinical service to patients referred with musculoskeletal conditions or injuries within the framework of clinical governance.
To perform advanced physiotherapeutic assessment of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions, to provide a diagnosis and develop and deliver an individualised treatment programme to patients .
To hold responsibility for own case load and be responsible for a defined area of the service or a particular patient type, working without direct supervision.
Access to advice and support from Senior Specialist Physiotherapists & Advanced Practitioners is available.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and driven team player to join the rapidly growing pharmacy team at the James Cook University Hospital.
You will be working within the busy pharmacy dispensary team assisting in the provision of an effective and timely service to the patients and staff of South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust under the leadership of the Senior Pharmacy Technician for Dispensary.
Main duties of the job
The role consists of supporting with running of the pharmacy dispensary including covering reception, using the pharmacy tracking system, packaging medication ready for deliveries, putting away stocks into the pharmacy robot and medication shelves, filing prescriptions and paperwork, expiry date checking, and other general housekeeping duties.
Core working hours are Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:00 with weekend working on a rota basis 1 in 5, and late night shift (9am-5.30pm) on a rota basis 1 in 10

North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of Radiographic services in the main hospital sites of North Tees and Hartlepool as well as Community sites in Stockton, Hartlepool and Peterlee. Job summary
To advise patients, staff and visitors on how to quit and / or abstain from smoking during a hospital stay and beyond.
Signpost to appropriate community support so patients can continue their quit journey following an inpatient stay.
Deliver / signpost staff training opportunities.
Main duties of the job
To work with the onsite Tobaccodependency Treatment Service (TDTS) and specialists to provide advice, behavioural support and treatment in relation to tobacco smoking.
To support the day to day running of the onsite TDTS to ensure safe, well organized and evidenced based care is offered routinely to all identified smokers and provided to all that access the service. Provide support in a range of settings as required for the delivery of smoking cessation service.
To support the delivery of the service key performance and reporting indicators for tobacco dependency.
Organise own workload and work unsupervised in a busy team. Maintain a high standard of work and prioritise own workload according to the needs of the service, individual needs including equality, diversity and social inclusion in all aspects of work.
Take referrals, including self-referrals, into the service and work with patients to identify the most appropriate tobacco dependency treatment pathway.
Support individuals to make informed choices about their health and wellbeing and support them in initiating and sustaining appropriate behavioural changes to improve their health.
Record and report activities and results.
Develop and sustain tobacco dependency support and referrals into the service.
Travel is required across the Trust footprint, including occasional regional travel.
The TDTS will operate seven days each week.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Lead Pharmacist, Clinical Trials to join the University Hospitals Tees Research team. This exciting opportunity will support the delivery and development of a diverse portfolio of clinical trials helping patients to have access to innovative treatments and research opportunities.
Working closely with the Specialist Lead Pharmacist, Clinical Trials, you will be responsible for the management, implementation and development of the pharmacy clinical trials service within the University Hospitals Tees. Main duties of the job
Responsible for the management, implementation and development of the pharmacy clinical trials service within University Hospitals Tees.
Ensure full compliance with current legislation, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and all other relevant medicines regulations and ethical requirements.
Liaise with appropriate University Hospitals Tees groups and committees in matters relating to clinical trials
Responsible for ensuring that the feasibility assessment and set up of new trials is completed, including ensuring sufficient capacity to participate in the implementation of this work.
Liaise effectively with all sponsors, relevant parties and stakeholders regarding the initiation, maintenance, closure and archiving of all clinical trials.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of the research delivery team as a clinical trial assistant (CTA) within the University Hospitals Tees Research Department primarily working at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust initially on the Dermatology, Diabetes and Rheumatology Research Portfolios.
We are looking for a motivated, dynamic, organised, flexible person with excellent communication skills, to support patients through their research journey.
Main duties of the job
The main role of the CTA will be to support patients in the clinical environment during their research pathway. Meeting and greeting patient's/relatives discussing research projects, conducting clinical observations for example; blood pressure, pulse, body mass index (BMI), health questionnaires etc.
The role will also support collecting clinical data and recording in relevant paper and electronic databases. Experience with Excel and other electronic systems would be essential for the role.
An induction package will be provided for the successful candidate to support the delivery of high-quality research.

We are looking for a Senior Speech & Language Therapist / Specialist Speech & Language Therapist, depending on experience, to join our team to cover a maternity leave on a fixed term contract for up to 12 months. Those seeking to further specialise in the field of neurosciences and who enjoy a mix of both acute and community working would be ideal for this role. It would suit either someone already working at Band 6 level, who is ready to take the next steps in their career development or someone already working at Band 7, with advanced skills in managing neurological dysphagia and related communication disorders. The successful applicant should have experience of working with patients with neurological disorders and have post graduate dysphagia training.
The Speech & Language Therapy team is looking for a team player, who can demonstrate an ability to work under pressure and be flexible in their approach to patient care. The individual should be confident working in a busy multidisciplinary team and be able to travel independently for community visits.
The successful applicant will independently manage a caseload of adults with acquired communication and / or swallowing disorders, actively participating in multidisciplinary decision making around patient care and developing service delivery initiatives.
Knowledge of videofluoroscopy would be advantageous but is not essential.
Main duties of the job
You will contribute to the delivery of a high-quality service within the specialist area of neurosciences. The successful applicant will provide out-patient clinics at The James Cook University Hospital, run a group for patients with Parkinson's Disease, with support from an assistant, and provide inpatient assessment for those with Parkinson's Disease. They would also have sessions on an acute neurology and neurosurgery ward, and intensive care, depending on experience. There may be an opportunity to work within other specialist areas eg Stroke / acute wards, depending on service need and individual preference.
Regular support will be provided both from your line manager and through peer supervision. The existing team consists of 4 other therapists, each with different skill sets and responsibilities, and 1 assistant.
You will be encouraged to take an active role in service improvement (both within our own service and our wider healthcare teams), clinical governance and continuing professional development of self and others in leadership and mentorship.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Therapy Assistant Practitioner to join our friendly and dynamic Urgent Community Response (UCR) Home First Team at Redcar Primary care Hospital.
The post holder will be working under the guidance of the Specialist Allied Health professionals and will take responsibility for designated elements of the assessment, therapy intervention and the discharge for patients on the home first pathway of care and within the wider UCR service.
The post holder will have the ability to work independently, carrying out assessment and interventions for a specified and designated clinical caseload identified by a qualified clinician but also be able to work as part of a team supporting the clinicians with patient interventions.
The post holder will be expected to work flexibly to support the seven day rota between the hours of 8am-10pm.
Successful candidate must have access to a vehicle for work purposes to meet the requirements of the role.
Main duties of the job
You will have the ability to work under pressure, be well organised, demonstrate excellent communication skills and be able to work as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team.
The team is friendly and supportive and mentorship for this role will be available from the Clinical Service Lead for both UCR and Hospital at Home, Specialist Therapy Leads and the wider clinical UCR therapy workforce. We have a comprehensive training programme and our staff are encouraged and supported in their continual professional development through regular workshops and clinical supervision

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Plain Film X-Ray Imaging department at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust . We are seeking a Band 6 Diagnostic Radiographer to work within the radiography team. The department includes the provision of plain film x-ray, dental (including cone beam CT) and theatre services as well as specialist modalities, including US, CT, MRI and fluoroscopy/interventional radiology.
The successful candidate will be a role model for demonstrating our Trust's values through their leadership attributes and be committed to providing high quality, patient focused patient care.
Although the successful candidate will be employed by South Tees NHS Foundation Trust, there will be an expectation of collaborative working across the Tees Valley in the future should the need be required. However, this role is primarily for South Tees NHS Foundation Trust Plain Film services. The successful candidate will join the James Cook Plain Film roster.

Main duties of the job
The Radiology service is dedicated in facilitating continuous professional development and role extension/advanced practice. There are more than 30 Advanced Practitioners within the service, with specialist experience in fluoroscopy/interventional radiology, ultrasound, CT, MRI and plain film radiographer reporting.South Tees Hospitals is the largest hospital trust in the Tees Valley with two acute hospitals and services in a number of community hospitals. South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is already nationally recognised as one of the leading healthcare providers in England for the quality of our services. The Trust is a designated regional Major trauma centre with a 24-hour acute admissions unit and specialised services in cancer, neurosciences, vascular surgery, spinal injuries, cardiology and renal medicine.
