This is an exciting time to join Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust as we continue to transform adult community mental health services through our innovative Neighbourhood Mental Health Teams. We are seeking experienced and compassionate Clinical or Counselling Psychologists who are passionate about delivering high-quality psychological care and shaping the future of community mental health services.

We are recruiting several Lead Practitioner Psychologists across a range of localities within our Waverley Complex Needs Service Line. These are influential senior leadership roles for highly skilled Clinical or Counselling Psychologists who are motivated to drive service development, champion psychologically informed care, and support multidisciplinary teams to deliver outstanding outcomes for people experiencing complex mental health difficulties.

These posts will be supported and supervised by the respective place-based Consultant Psychologist.

Main duties of the job

As the senior psychological professional within your Neighbourhood Team, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for psychological practice while maintaining a meaningful clinical caseload. Working alongside experienced multidisciplinary colleagues, you will help shape innovative models of care, embed evidence-based interventions and ensure that psychological thinking is at the heart of service delivery.

Provide professional leadership and governance for a highly specialist psychology service, ensuring safe, effective practice, compliance with legal and professional standards, and high-quality patient care.

Lead and develop the place-based psychological workforce, including supervision, appraisal, recruitment, workforce development, teaching, mentoring, and supporting students and junior staff.

Drive service improvement and strategic development through contributing to partnership working, policy and care pathway development and ensuring equity and inclusion for people with protected characteristics.

Deliver and promote expert psychological practice, including specialist assessment, formulation, intervention and consultation, while leading audit, research, innovation and the implementation of national best practice standards.

Brook House is a small care home located in the village of Ottershaw, near Woking. Conveniently situated close to Junction 11 of the M25, it is approximately a 20-minute drive from Woking town. Job summary

This is a Fixed Term post until May 2027 and the Consultant Psychiatrist will be responsible for providing clinical input & leadership to Liaison Psychiatry for Working Age Adult based at Frimley Park Hospital & working alongside a multidisciplinary team in line with New Ways of Working.

The liaison service has been a well-established service providing liaison inputs for many years. In addition, the directorate offers Liaison Psychiatry services within Surrey's five major District General Hospitals. There has been considerable focus & interest in Liaison services by commissioners, & the post holder will work alongside the managers on directly influencing the delivery of services to the Acute Hospital to suit local needs in East Surrey, Epsom General, Frimley Park, Royal Surrey County & St. Peter's Hospitals.

The Consultant will support the existing staff in assessing, diagnosing & managing referrals for Working Age Adults presenting with mental health problems & to provide medical expertise & support to Frimley Park Hospital staff involved in looking after patients with adult mental health presentations.

In addition, the Consultant will supervise the clinical caseload of the team members & the work of any trainee doctors who may be attached to the service. The role will also support the existing liaison team in deciding the most appropriate intervention for patients referred to the service. This will include facilitating discharge planning & timely communication with Primary Care, CMHRSs or Inpatient Services. The clinical work will involve the assessment & psychiatric treatment of patients directly or through the supervision of other team members.

Job summary

Mind Matters Surrey Talking Therapies NHS are looking to recruit full time Qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners with at least one year post qualification experience working as a PWP within a Talking Therapies service

The post will be a blend of in person and remote working. The post-holder will be required to work up to two days per week in person across Surrey and remotely the remainder of the week. There are opportunities to work with people in face to face clinics and across teams and telephone.

Successful applicants with sufficient post qualifying experience will be given the opportunity for further development in Long Term Conditions Training, Supervision Training and a variety of Champion and lead roles across the Step 2 Team.

All PWPs provide assessments and deliver high volume, low intensity cognitive behavioural therapy guided self-help interventions to clients with mild to moderate anxiety and depression. In addition, all PWPs are trained to offer silver cloud assisted therapy treatment sessions and deliver a specialist group each week.

Main duties of the job

As a PWP, your main duties will be to conduct assessments with people experiencing a range of mental health difficulties, identifying areas for change, and identifying what the most appropriate treatment pathways would be.

This might include making referrals to other services, or offering treatments within Mind Matters.

You will also be providing low intensity CBT interventions to individuals experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties, promoting self-management of their own recovery.

Job summary

We are introducing a new, standardised Physical Health Monitoring Clinic model across all our Neighbourhood Teams to improve safety, quality and equity for people prescribed antipsychotic medication. The role of the Physical Healthcare Community Co-ordinator is a one year fixed term contract and will facilitate the launch of this new model. They will ensure each Neighbourhood Team will run a protected, regular physical health monitoring clinic for people prescribed antipsychotics. The clinics will be supported by dedicated Band 4 Health Care Assistant and will have administrative time, with clear clinical oversight from existing senior clinicians.

The post holder will report directly to the Associate Director of Quality and Assurance and sit within the Physical health team and will hold managerial responsibility for the three Health Care Assistants, supporting and guiding them. They will establish effective working relationships within each of the thirteen Neighbourhood Teams and identify key staff to support the programme.

They will develop key relationships with pharmacy, digital, medical devices and physical health team and will be working with key stakeholders in the project including the Chief Pharmacist and the QI Improvement Advisor.

Main duties of the job

Act as a key member of the project board and project workstreams. Provide guidance on how the physical health clinics should be run, including identifying key responsibilities and roles, and designing the workflow processes including referral, interventions, escalation strategy and recall.

Develop key guides for each of the Neighbourhood teams to ensure consistency in implementation and fidelity with the clinical model.

Provide regular updates with regards to the project and attend key meetings as required.

Identify what training is required and where appropriate, deliver this training to key staff within each of the Neighbourhood teams. This will include training on what physical health interventions need to be undertaken, why and how. As well as how to record this information on our electronic health record system.

Work with the Lived experience lead, to help meet the needs of people who are hard to reach.

Ensure that the culture you develop is not just based on completing checks but focuses on next steps to support people (don't just screen, intervene'). Developing a culture and programme where abnormal results must be reviewed, acted on, and clearly documented, with risks explicitly considered where treatment continues.
