DHC is looking for skilled, self-motivated nurses or healthcare professionals to deliver vaccinations to patients in our East Surrey practices or in their homes. This role involves close collaboration with our friendly teams at East Surrey GP practices, who will administer the service.
This service will contribute to the provision of high-quality care, close to home, for all patients.
Please note: This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship, and the successful candidate must have existing right to work in the UK.
We screen and shortlist suitable candidates as applications are received. We reserve the right to close this vacancy early and without notice if we fill the position. Therefore, we encourage early applications to avoid disappointment.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will be responsible for the safe and effective delivery of vaccines to patients in surgeries and in their homes.
When vaccinating housebound patients, you will be required to collect and transport the vaccine, assess the clinical appropriateness of vaccination, administer the vaccine, and then use a point-of-care system to record your work.
You will work closely with our GP practices and administrative teams, and you will receive statutory and mandatory training from DHC as required.
You must be a confident practitioner, skilled in working with frail patients, and capable of managing your workload independently in a community setting.

Across all of our services, we aim to put patients at the forefront of their care, ensure our services are easily accessible to local people, and reduce waiting times. We are well positioned to influence the wider system in making effective choices for our population.
