An opportunity has arisen for a post Band 2 Health Care Support Worker, within the Main Outpatients Department.
The successful candidate will work in Main Outpatients Department, which involves working in a Main clinic area, assisting Registered Nurses / Medical team with Adult patients. Applicants must have an approachable manner necessary to deal with patients and their relatives and desirable experience of a hospital environment. Applicants will work as part of a team of nurses and undertake patient care tasks under the direct or indirect supervision of a Registered General Nurse responsible for the patient's management.
Following an agreed level of training, the successful candidate will be required to work during Monday to Friday (Hours to be negotiated).
Main duties of the job
Assist the registered nurse/practitioner to deliver a high standard of holistic patient care, ensuring that the patients` dignity and equality is maintained at all times.
Ensure the principles set out in the fundamentals of care are incorporated into daily practice to ensure high quality service for patients and clients.
Assist the patients to maintain their own hygiene and personal appearance.
To perform duties within the plan of care delegated by a qualified practitioner, only for which he/she has the relevant training and assessment.
Prepare ward/clinical area for receiving patients by ensuring area is generally clean and tidy - assist in maintaining the standards in the clinical area and report any untidiness/clutter to the appropriate person.
Assist in the admission of new patients into the department by preparing bed/trolley area, welcoming patient, directing to bed/other area, showing patient around the ward.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Job summary
In line with the government's priority to increase access and availability of mental health and wellbeing support for children and young people, there are new recruit to train positions within the children's mental health services; Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) roles.
These posts are held within Kent and Medway Mental Health Support Teams (MHST). For further information, please use the link below:

EMHPs within these teams provide low-intensity interventions based on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and guided self-help. Trainee EMHPs are taught these interventions while also learning more about the MHST programme and children and young people's mental health.
Advertised EMHP training roles will be within MHST, based in Folkestone, Canterbury and selected positions across Kent.
Applicants need to be ready to start work on 4th January 2027, and posts cannot be offered to candidates unless they can guarantee this start date.
All candidates will need to undertake an initial application process with Kent and Medway Mental Health Trust. If successful in this first stage, then candidates will need to apply to the King's College London University EMHP training programme before the job offer is made.

Education Mental Health Practice PGDip (EMHP)
Main duties of the job
Throughout the training year and under clinical supervision, you will develop knowledge and practice skills to employ a range of evidence-based interventions for mental health difficulties. This is delivered via direct individual and group support for children, young people and their families, in line with NHS and University expectations.
The NHS team uses a blend of face-to-face interventions along with online/digital support as part of what is offered (e.g. support via video and telephone calls). As an NHS employee, you will record your outcomes and contribute to the growing national dataset on what works to support children and young people with their emotional wellbeing and mental health.
During the training year, the role will have both academic and practical elements. These will include face-to-face work in different settings across Kent and Medway, which can include schools and other settings accessed by young people.
Candidates will need to travel between school sites/clinical sites as well as to King's College London in order to undertake the university course and practical elements of the job role (business travel will be reimbursed).
On successful completion of training, Trainee EMHPs will be equipped with the necessary skills, knowledge and capabilities to work as a qualified EMHP as autonomous and responsible practitioners within their scope of practice, alongside their clinical team (MHSTs).

We are looking for a receptionist to join our team for 31 hours a week:

Job summary
We are seeking a Specialty Doctor, who together with 94 Consultant Anaesthetists, 13 Associate Specialists, 33 existing Specialty Doctors and 42 Specialty Trainees will provide a comprehensive anaesthetic service.
This post is based at Queen's hospital with the opportunity to rotate to Royal Derby Hospital by mutual agreement. We are able to support doctors aiming to progress via a CESR route.
The position will comprise of between 10 programmed activities on average per week and there are 3.2 additional PAs available with this post (on joining the on-call rota). These posts offer a variety of interests including, theatre work, obstetric anaesthesia, intensive care and resident on call duties. A willingness to work flexibly is essential. The Specialty Doctors are co-ordinated by a dedicated Consultant and the Trust has also appointed a Tutor to specifically support the educational and developmental needs of the Specialty Doctor group in all specialties.
Main duties of the job
Queen's Hospital Burton has a main theatre suite with 5 operating theatres and an 8 bedded recovery. Most surgical specialties (with the exception of orthopaedics) theatre lists take place here. There is adjacent elective admissions lounge where the majority of patients arrive prior to theatre. There is a specific orthopaedic theatre complex with a trauma theatre and a stand-alone (but on site) Treatment Centre, with 6 operating theatres. The majority of cases anticipated to be day cases are operated on here, including the vast majority of ophthalmic cases. In June 2020 two dedicated Orthopaedics theatres were opened adjacent to the Treatment Centre with a 28 bedded ward.
Following a £5 million investment Queens Hospital Burton now has a new fully refurbished Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The Unit has been expanded from 10 to 14 beds (funded for up to 8 Level 3 patients) that also include isolation rooms to treat and rehabilitate acutely unwell patients. The department is supported by experienced and passionate medical, clinical, and non-clinical teams.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated nurse with an interest in Hepatology to join our clinical nurse specialist team. The clinical nurse specialist (CNS) team works in close collaboration with Gastroenterology Consultants, Surgeons and other clinical nurse specialists within the Hospital. The post holders will play a key role in developing the Hepatology service including nurse-led clinics and supporting other areas of Hepatology including day case, in-patient services and services in the local prison. Successful candidates will be expected to perform autonomously both in clinic and ward environment running nurse-led clinics, patient/staff education and specialist screening/investigations/procedures for Hepatology patients.
Main duties of the job
Comprehensively assesses patients with chronic liver disease, utilising specialised knowledge and expertise via detailed medical history taking and clinical examination. Responsible for delegated responsibilities, undertaking autonomous clinical practise, ensuring optimisation of health within agreed protocols and guidelines.

Main duties of the job
You will work with the MDT on the ward to provide excellent care to patients admitted to the ward. You will work with other acute in-patient services in Langley Green and with local community teams.
- Providing specialist psychiatric assessment and treatment to inpatients.
- Leading ward rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Acting as Responsible Clinician for detained patients under the Mental Health Act.
- Supervising junior medical staff and contribute to teaching and training.

Job summary
To assist in the delivery of high-quality healthcare to cancer patients in East Kent. Transporting the HGV Class C Mobile Chemotherapy unit to set community locations to support the delivery of chemotherapy treatments to patients closer to home. The driver is responsible for ensuring the general maintenance of the vehicle, daily inspections and other legal requirements of drivers in accordance with industry standards and relevant road traffic law. They will also be involved in the non-clinical care of the patients by supporting the nursing team and ensuring that patient activity is recorded on the patient booking system.

Main duties of the job
To operate all aspects of the vehicle and on board non-medical equipment (access lift, air conditioning, generators.)
To liaise with medical engineering regarding repairs and servicing of on-board medical equipment.
To organise and Co-ordinate Trust service for cleaning of clinical area.
To organise and Co-ordinate cleaning of external body of mobile unit.
To Co-ordinate general maintenance of vehicle with associated service provider.
Daily vehicle checks.
Drive the Vehicle to different locations across East Kent.
To check that required equipment and supplies are on board.
To ensure that patients are attended on arrive and discharged with next planned treatment dates scheduled.
Complete all documentation required of them, i.e. Fuel reports, daily log sheets and any other paperwork.
Ensure all servicing reports are sent to EKLS manager as part of Operational Licence requirements, and for inspection by VOSA. (sent via the departmental manager)
Ensure that CPC training is kept up to date.
The driver must report any defects with the vehicle to the relevant manager.
Extra hours to cover the service will be expected
Arrange and co-ordinate the safe connection of the electrical hook up, keeping in line with the Trust Health and Safety Policy.
Maintaining all relevant mandatory training.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone who is enthusiastic and passionate about patient safety and the management of medicines.
This is a challenging and rewarding role involving the development, education, leadership and support of healthcare professionals working with medicines across the central secondary care site and liaising with other sites and teams across the Health Board.
You should be self-motivated with excellent communication, time management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with and influence senior clinical staff, members of the multidisciplinary team across all directorates of the site. You must have a comprehensive understanding of current medicines management initiatives within the NHS modernisation agenda and also an understanding of legislation governing medicines management, e.g. Patient Group Directions and Non-Medical Prescribing.

Main duties of the job
You will manage and develop the Children's Community Services Team (5-19) and contribute to the development of services to deliver the commissioned service specification.

Job summary
We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic highly motivated team member to work alongside our SPA/Admin Team
The role is for 21.5 hours a week working remotely and from either admin bases at Stubley Medical Centre or Ripley Hospital.
Children's 0-19 Community Services provides health visiting and school nursing services to the children, young people and families of Derbyshire.
In addition you must be able to prioritise your daily workload and provide efficient and reliable administrative support.
We require enthusiastic individuals who are organised, methodical and able to use their own initiative.
Also, you should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, good computer skills and be flexible.
You will need to be able to work as part of a team and a good knowledge of SystmOne is desirable. (training available)
Main duties of the job
To contribute effectively to the organisation of Children's community services, you will be required to:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support for the children's community services 0-19 teams from a centralised admin contact point.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support for children's community services as part of the Single Point of Access (SPA)
- Have a flexible approach to undertake duties and travel to sites in Derbyshire on occasion to support administration functions when required and to cover sickness and annual leave.
- To be competent and confident to input information/records within guidelines onto SystmOne, scanning paperwork and action tasks in a timely manner within a 24 hour window.
- Effectively communicate with staff groups across Derbyshire by email, text, and telephone
- To liaise with parents/carers in order to capture essential information, for example name of school attended.
- To manage tasks on a rota basis within the admin hub including collection of mail, processing domestic violence, A/E, MIU, and midwifery information etc
- Support the countywide delivery of Children's community services admin function; cover sickness and absence.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, proactive administrator to join our team at Sexual Health Dorset in the Weymouth hub.
The position is 36 hours per week Monday to Friday.
The successful candidate will ideally have some previous experience of working within a similar role.Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team would be an advantage.
This role is key to the smooth running of the Sexual Health Dorset, you will be communicating with and supporting patients for appointments and other queries and dealing with all the admin for the clinical teams, including typing and processing clinical letters, managing referrals, organising appointments face to face and via a busy phone line and covering reception.
The role is a varied and busy one. You will need to have strong multitasking skills, patience, resilience, along with good computer and organisational skills. The need for confidentiality is essential in this role as is the attention to detail.

Main duties of the job
Telephone reception to service to patients, GPs and other agencies managing bookings, triaging patients and managing queries.
