Job summary
The Consultant Neurologist will play a key role in delivering a General Neurology service. The post holder will provide outpatient consultation service and inpatient liaison neurology input shared with the other neurologists in the department. This involves review and management of acutely ill patients and the facility to access the full available services at the University Hospital Birmingham.
The appointee will be expected to participate in all departmental activities, including audit, teaching, sharing administrative responsibilities and contributing to the further development of the department are essential. The post holder will agree to work within the models of care agreed within the department.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will:
Provide direct input to patients, contribute to multidisciplinary teams and coordinate the care of patients within the Dudley Group of Hospitals.
Assume a continuous commitment for the care of patients and ensure that adequate arrangements are made for leave and off duty periods.
Promote high professional standards of clinical care for patients both through direct patient care and by the maintenance of continuing professional developments.
Develop close links with General Practitioners working in the geographical area and provide advice and guidance for General Practitioner.
Provide outpatient clinics for e-referrals from General Practitioners and other consultants and develop a local specialist service depending on their specialist interest.
Triage outpatient referrals to Neurology and provide advice and guidance to General Practitioners.
Undertake neurology ward consultations.
Perform duties in the occasional emergencies and unforeseen circumstances at the request of the Clinical Directors.
There is no requirement to participate in an out of hours on call rota.

Job summary
Are you an experienced and motivated Speech and Language Therapist ready for a Band 7 clinical leadership role? We have an exciting opportunity to join our Integrated Community Stroke and Neurorehabilitation Service in Blackpool, supporting adults with stroke, acquired brain injury and other neurological conditions in community settings.
As Clinical Lead Speech and Language Therapist, you will provide specialist assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for people with complex communication and swallowing difficulties, alongside professional leadership and support for the SLT workforce. Working with colleagues across acute and community pathways, you will help shape rehabilitation, promote evidence-based practice and support people to maximise independence, participation and quality of life. You will be part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team including case managers, clinical psychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, rehabilitation assistants, a dietitian, an Advanced Clinical Practitioner and another Clinical Lead SLT.
This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician with strong stroke and neurorehabilitation experience who is passionate about service improvement, collaborative working and outstanding community care. Applications for full-time and part-time hours will be considered.
Main duties of the job
As Clinical Lead Speech and Language Therapist, you will provide visible clinical leadership for Speech and Language Therapy within our Integrated Community Stroke and Neurorehabilitation Service, supporting the delivery of safe, effective and person-centred care for adults following an acquired brain injury, neurological diagnosis or stroke. You will bring specialist expertise in the assessment and management of complex communication and swallowing difficulties, while working closely with multidisciplinary colleagues across community and acute pathways. The role also includes supervision and support of junior staff and rehabilitation assistants, contributing to service development, quality improvement and evidence-based practice across the team.

Job summary
The Technical Services department within Pharmacy is looking for an enthusiastic individual to become an integral part of our Aseptic Service team. You will provide support to the Pharmacy Aseptic Unit by undertaking the manufacture and dispensing of ready to use, patient specific, aseptically prepared injections including cancer chemotherapy. You will be required to complete documentation, perform complex calculations and undertake intricate manipulations while working within isolators based in our clean room facilities

The Clinical Site Manager has a pivotal role in the operational management of the acute trust, facilitating the sustained achievement of patient access standards including the national 4hour Trust target. The focus of the role is to manage demand and capacity via the emergency, elective and repatriation pathways.
The role is responsible for managing and allocating patient movement throughout the Trust ensuring patients are allocated to the right place at the right time, the first time. The Clinical Site Manager must have operational management skills in association with acute clinical skills. Main duties of the job
Within hours the post holder will be responsible for actively managing patient demand, dealing with unpredictable events non-clinical and clinical and working closely with the directorate teams including The Integrated Discharge Service. Other responsibilities will involve supporting staff across the site with clinical transfers and liaising with senior medical and nursing management when necessary.
The post holder when working on nights will work in collaboration with healthcare colleagues to provide clinical expertise for developing and enhancing the service and supporting staff across the organisation. They will ensure that evidence-based practice is inherent in all aspects of care and treatment and ensure this knowledge is disseminated throughout the clinical area.
The visible presence of post holders over a 24-hour period 7 days a week will be key in providing high standards of patient safety and care and supporting staff working across the organisation.

You'll be joining a team which provides a range of high quality medical physics services to the Trust and external organisations. The team are an integral part of the Imaging Physics Group, which also includes Clinical Measurement Services. In this role you will also work closely with Salisbury Foundation Trust.
The Imaging Physics Group is a friendly team of clinical scientists, clinical technologists, and administrators. The vital importance of research, development and innovation is recognised and there is active involvement in clinical trials and various research projects both internally and with external partners.

Main duties of the job
As a Medical Physics Expert for Diagnostic Radiology you will work with Clinical Consultants, Medical Physicists, Radiographers and Nuclear Medicine Technologists.
You will provide scientific supervision and management to other scientists and apprentices in the RUH Imaging Physics Group and at Salisbury Foundation Trust.
The role requires detailed scientific knowledge and technical expertise in radiation physics and dosimetry and its application to healthcare, and you will provide advice to ensure the safety of staff, patients and visitors.
You will also be responsible for developing and delivering appropriate training in radiation safety for Trust staff in line with Trust policy and legislation.
This role will require regular work at both Salisbury District Hospital and The Royal United Hospitals Bath.

This is a varied role that will require attention to detail, high levels of concentration, and a desire to enable the smooth running of our services. We are looking for a full time candidate with the opportunity to work from home for one day per week.
Main duties of the job
- Provide a complete and comprehensive medical administrative service for allocated Clinicians and their patients.
- Ensure that correspondence from clinicians is typed, edited and sent promptly and accurately, and keep track of diagnostic reports to ensure that patients receive their results in a timely manner.
- Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, sharing responsibility for the smooth running of the administrative service to deliver safe patient care

Main duties of the job
- Provide a complete and comprehensive medical administrative service including Referral to Treatment (RTT), patient correspondence and editing and formatting letters.
- Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, sharing responsibility for the smooth running of the administrative service to deliver safe patient care
- To be a first point of contact, answering all telephone enquiries, taking and relaying messages in a polite and helpful manner, and using own judgement to establish the priority of issues and taking action as appropriate.
- To deal with incoming correspondence via email from patients, GPs and other departments, using initiative as appropriate to expedite issues and administer patient appointments when necessary.

Main duties of the job
As a HCA on the evening team you will be allocated via our electronic system onto a handheld tablet, patients to visit in their own homes, primarily across the South of the county. These would normally be within a geographic area, but some flexibility is expected to cover patients countywide. The role of the HCA is varied, in supporting patients in their own home with personal care, mobility, and simple wound care and catheter care. All appropriate training will be provided as part of the induction process. You will work independently but also as part of a team, with some visits requiring 2 members of staff. You will be supported during the shift by a senior nurse on triage.

Job summary
The post-holder will work as a senior specialist member of the safeguarding team, with support from the Head of Safeguarding Childre/Child at Risk and Director of Safeguarding and Public Protection. The post-holder will be responsible for leading all the specialist aspects of safeguarding linked to Midwifery services. The post-holder's role focuses on the most complex cases, where specialist knowledge and significant expertise will be required to ensure best practice is in place. The post-holder will act as Named Midwife. Additionally, the post-holder, with support from the Head of Safeguarding Children, will take operational lead for violence against women, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence (VAWDASV) not only within the Women's Division, but also across BCUHB. This will require clear links with Strategic Leads.
The post-holder will be required to provide high quality specialist reports, root cause analyses; expert advice and/or clinical information to relevant partners and to work in close collaboration with other Specialist Midwives/Specialists in Domestic Abuse across England and Wales. The post-holder will be required to provide clinical supervision to midwifery specialists within the safeguarding team and other colleagues and support and supervise staff who may be working on complex cases or requiring specialist advice.
Main duties of the job
To have a management role which includes the management of Safeguarding Specialist Midwives.
To work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team and partner agencies to ensure that babies and their families who come into contact with services at BCUHB are safeguarded.
Together with members of the Safeguarding Team, contribute to the Health Board's safeguarding policies, procedures and strategies.
Actively participate and lead on quality assurance processes, audits and report writing in accordance with the safeguarding agenda.
To give obstetric and maternity safeguarding assurance to the Director of Safeguarding and Public Protection and North Wales Safeguarding Board as requested.
To contribute in line with BCUHB responsibilities relating to the Single Unified Safeguarding Review (SUSR) process, ensuring recommendations are implemented and audited.
Ensure that BCUHB meets its statutory obligation to safeguard and promote the welfare of all unborn babies, children, young people and vulnerable pregnant women who access services within BCUHB.
The post-holder will need a strong grasp of clinical and safeguarding risks associated with midwifery, and the VAWDASV agenda and the associated legislative requirements.

Future Focus is an innovative new service at the forefront of 'At Risk Mental State' treatments in Early Intervention (EI) Team. We have an exciting opportunity for a CBT Therapist or Psychologist to lead the team into new innovative ways of working.
Future Focus works with people between 14-35-years-old who may be 'at risk' of developing psychosis due to past trauma, adverse life events, and/or a family history of mental health difficulties. In leading the team, you will hold operational and clinical oversight of a team of 6, made up of Care Coordinators, Recovery Coordinator, Peer Support Worker and Psychological Therapists. You will carry out line management and ensure staff wellbeing and continual professional development are prioritised within the team. You will promote strong working relationships and a sense of psychological safety, prioritising inclusion and intersectionality needs.

The Reception and Appointment Clerk works across a number of sites providing reception, administrative and appointment booking support for Haematology and Oncology services. The role is an integral part of the multidisciplinary team supporting both outpatient and day unit services
Main duties of the job
Communication:
o To welcome patients to the department, ensuring that patient information held is correct (address, telephone numbers, GP details, Next of Kin details), and that the attendance is recorded on Medway/Mosaiq.
o To liaise with patients, wards, clinical staff, GPs and Trust support staff in person, via telephone and email as and when necessary.
Patient Care:
o To show a caring and professional approach towards patients, relatives and carers. This may require acting with resilience to deal with sometimes distressed patients and relatives in an empathetic manner
Organising and Planning:

Scope
The Domestic Services Department plays a vital role in support of the above by maintaining a pleasant, hygienic and comfortable environment for patients via the provision of high quality domestic services.
The department provides a cleaning service to wards, departments, communal areas and staff residences as well as providing an internal postal and a central wash up service. It employs approximately 45 members of staff through the combination of permanent, bank and agency domestic staff.
Additionally, a housekeeping service is provided at ward level via the employment of Ward Technicians who are responsible for the provision of food and beverage, kitchen hygiene and clean laundry distribution services.

Set in a stunning Grade II listed Victorian building, the RHN provides adult person-centred services across the entire care pathwayfrom post-acute rehabilitation to end-of-life carefor people with complex neuro-disabilities and their families. We are currently looking to recruit 3 reliable and flexible Domestic Assistants to join our bank team.
We are looking for individuals who are flexible, dependable and able to work on a regular basis, including weekends and Bank Holidays. The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the wards and general areas.
Key Requirements:
- Reliable and punctual
- Flexible with working days and hours
- Able to work regular on an agreed schedule High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail.
- Previous domestic/cleaning experience is desirable but not essential
- Professional and respectful approach

Scope
The Domestic Services Department plays a vital role in support of the above by maintaining a pleasant, hygienic and comfortable environment for patients via the provision of high quality domestic services.
The department provides a cleaning service to wards, departments, communal areas and staff residences as well as providing an internal postal and a central wash up service. It employs approximately 45 members of staff through the combination of permanent, bank and agency domestic staff.
Additionally, a housekeeping service is provided at ward level via the employment of Ward Technicians who are responsible for the provision of food and beverage, kitchen hygiene and clean laundry distribution services.
Person specification: Essential and Desirable
- Able to contribute to Domestic Service / organisational aims and objectives.
- Able to engage with the RHN IPR process that identifies own personal and development training needs.
- Able to conduct self in a professional manner towards all service users and management.
- Understand the importance of ensuring confidentiality at all times in accordance with data protection, Hospital policy and good practice.
- Be reliable, willing and conscientious and have the ability to work flexibly either individually or as part of a team.
- Be experienced in or able to demonstrate a good understanding of excellent customer service, together with good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be punctual / a good timekeeper.
- Be able to problem solve with support / use own initiative.
- Have the ability to be reflective and self-critical and be able to take constructive criticism positively.
