We are delighted to offer an exciting development opportunity for a Family & Systemic Psychotherapist to join our dynamic and compassionate multi-disciplinary team within BCUHB's Tier 4 Highly Specialist CAMHS Service. You will work across both the Kestrel Inpatient Ward and Kite - Intensive Community Support Team.
This post is offered as a Band 7-8a progression role, providing the opportunity for an appropriately qualified and experienced practitioner to develop into a highly Specialist (Band 8a) Family & Systemic Psychotherapist role, supported by structured supervision, competency development, and service leadership opportunities.
Support is available from experienced professionals including the Consultant Nurse/Family & Systemic Psychotherapist and Consultant Family & Systemic Psychotherapist, alongside a thriving North Wales Family & Systemic Community of Practice.
Please note there is no requirement for registration under the Mental Health Measure (Wales) for this post.
Main duties of the job
About the Development Pathway
At Band 7, you will:
Deliver systemic interventions under supervision
Build experience within inpatient and intensive community settings
Work towards defined competencies required for progression
Progression to Band 8a will be supported through:
Demonstration of advanced clinical skills and autonomy
Leadership and supervisory capability
Contribution to service development and systemic practice across CAMHS
Who We're Looking For
We welcome applications from individuals at different stages of their development:
For Band 7 entry:
Qualified (or nearing qualification) in Family & Systemic Psychotherapy
Experience working with children, young people, or families
Commitment to developing specialist skills within a Tier 4 setting
For Band 8a entry (or progression):
Qualified Family & Systemic Psychotherapist with relevant registration
Experience working with complex presentations in intensive settings
Ability to provide supervision, consultation, and leadership

About us
- Registered Nurse or Paramedic with current NMC or HCPC registration.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Senior Administrator- Medical Secretary to support our Consultant's working in Adult Learning Disabilities across Tees Valley and Darlington.
Your role will consist of being responsible for ensuring the provision of a full secretarial service to consultants, junior medical staff, advanced practitioners, and other staff within the multi-disciplinary team.
To undertake non routine activities which may be delegated by line manager, consultant staff or other members of the multi-disciplinary team.
Due to the nature of the role and cross covering sites in the Tees Valley and Darlington area, Wessex House / Flatts Lane Centre, attendance in base is required and therefore remote working would not be suitable for this role. You may be asked to work in any of the Adult Learning Disabilities bases across the speciality to provide cross cover and support to teams during periods of absence.
You must have the Right to Work in the UK in order to be successfully appointed to this role. Please note, this role does not meet the required eligibility criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa and therefore the Trust is unable to offer sponsorship for this particular role.
Main duties of the job
To resolve problems which may be received directly from service users, family or carers or referred by members of the administration team. To always interact compassionately with service users and carers. Service users have a range of mental health conditions or learning disabilities.
To complete secretarial duties for medical team such as meeting minutes, diary co-ordination, setting up meetings and dictation typing.
First point of contact for service users, family and carers dealing with a range of enquiries or concerns in person or over the telephone. This may involve arranging for an interpreter.
Provides a full range of personal assistant duties for medical staff including triaging of e-mails and post, administering annual leave and study leave applications, booking attendance at training events and conferences and liaising with designated staff to ensure accommodation and travel is booked as required.
First point of contact for managers, general practitioners and other healthcare professionals within and external to the Trust, dealing with a range of enquiries, queries or concerns on behalf of consultants and medical team, to support them in communications with all groups or individuals involved in the service.
Cross cover team secretaries and medical secretaries' absence.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and enthusistic individual to join our Antenatal Outpatient team as an Infant Feeding Maternity Support Worker.
This is a fantastic opportunity for those who are interested in maternity care to gain experience and expertise in this important area of maternity services.We are looking for someone who is dedicated, compassionate and eager to develop their infant feeding skills. Youll work as part of a small, supportive team, assisting in delivering high-quality infant feeding support to birting people attending antenatal outpatient appointments.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide care to birthing people and families attending for appointments within our antenatal outpatient services.They will advise on the benefits of initiating breastfeeding and discuss health promotion strategies related to infant feeding methods.The post holder will work as part of the Infant Feeding Team and in line with Trust policies, guidelines and UNICEF standards for infant feeding.
The main duties include:
Providing infant feeding education to women attending for outpatient appointments
Provide infant feeding parent eduction sessions
Promote and work alongside other infant feeding support professionals
Link patients with local family hub resources
Keep data accurately and appropriately on feeding methods and outcomes
Support the specialist infant feeding team with specialist clinics and care
Support birthing people throughtout the antenatal period and follow up with immediate postnatal care handing over to community service support

Michelham Ward is an acute 20-bedded Gastroenterology ward. Patients treated on the ward have a variety of Gastro needs. We are looking for experienced Clinical Support Workers, hospital experience is desirable but not essential. A minimum of GCSE English and Maths grade C or 4 or Functional skills for English/Maths, Care Certificate and or NVQ2 two in health and social care or the equivalent role. Your role will be to provide delegated clinical procedures such as insertion/removal of cannula, venepuncture, wound assessment and simple dressings, removal of urinary catheter, training will be provided
Successful applicants will be required to complete an Induction course, which will include all the Trust statutory/Mandatory training to join our team inviting them to share their knowledge and experience with the ward; you will need to be well motivated and committed to high standards of patient care and personal professional development.

Job summary
6 month secondment or fixed term opportunity to become an integral part of our dynamic Urology team.
As a member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in independently supporting the clinical nurse specialist team while aiding in the planning of assessments for patients on suspected cancer pathways.
Your responsibilities will encompass a range of vital tasks, including managing systems for handling results, facilitating communications with patients as needed, scheduling appointments, and monitoring and delivering clinical outcomes. Collaborating closely with the Urology CNS team, you'll contribute to enhancing FDS and 62-day targets, ultimately elevating the standard of patient care.
Main duties of the job
- Proactively ensure patients have received eGFR results before MRI and PSA results before review clinic to prevent pathway delays.
- Facilitate care transfers between service teams and across care interfaces.
- Refer and signpost patients for higher-level decisions and support.
- Triage incoming patient calls, initiating appropriate responses based on established protocols.
- Monitor, audit, and report on service, inputting data to Somerset cancer database.
- Conduct pre-planned outbound calls to patients under healthcare professional guidance.
- Contribute to clinical/quality management team reviews of pathway issues. Ensure MDT outcomes are actioned, liaising as needed.

Main duties of the job
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive ward-based pharmacy service across inpatient mental health units. Key responsibilities will include:

- Assessing patients' own medicines for suitability and safe re-use in accordance with Trust policies.

Main duties of the job
As the ward consultant you will deliver direct interventions and weekly review to inpatients including those patients who require use of the Mental Health Act who are difficult to engage. The Lung Cancer Screening Navigator plays a key role in supporting the NHS Lung Cancer Screening Programme and Targeted Lung Health Check pathway. Main duties of the job
The Lung Cancer Screening Navigator will provide administrative and coordination support to the Lung Cancer Screening Programme, ensuring patients receive timely care throughout their screening and diagnostic journey.
Acting as a key contact for patients, clinicians and partner organisations, the post holder will coordinate patients through the Targeted Lung Health Check pathway. Duties include arranging appointments and investigations, monitoring progress, identifying delays and escalating concerns to support timely diagnosis.

Across the Trust, our Endoscopy departments perform a variety of standard and advanced Endoscopic procedures for both out-patients and in-patients including; gastroscopy, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, percutaneous endoscopic gastroscopy (PEG) insertion, oesophageal stenting and ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangio-pancreatography). Other specialist work is also undertaken by individual consultants.
Our departments are presently offer a 7 day service including bank holidays. Our current hours of opening are 8am until 7pm.

- To decontaminate and process endoscopes and other equipment.
- To assist in the delivery of safe patient care, under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- To contribute to the efficient running of the endoscopy unit as directed by the Registered Nurse
- To assist in the induction of new staff as directed by the Registered Nurse.
- To undertake delegated duties related to patient care that contribute to their treatment plans.

Main duties of the job
Key roles include:
- Delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical care to adult cancer in-patients, day-case, and out-patients.

- Clinically screening and checking of systemic anticancer treatments (SACTs), SACT clinical trial treatments and supportive medication prescriptions.

Job summary
We are looking for newly qualified consultants or established consultants with a passion for Frailty. The post offers a new challenge with the ability to be involved in designing an integrated Frailty service, bridging community and secondary care. You must be a capable senior decision maker who will support the rapid assessment of patients including post take ward round for patients, streaming to appropriate pathways and commencement of treatment. Main duties of the job
The Frailty team is a large multi-disciplinary team based in the Frailty Assessment Unit on ward C-16 with in reach into the Emergency Department The team comprises of 1.7 frailty consultants, 1 registrar, 2 lead nurses, 5 clinical nurse specialists and 3 Physicians Associates. The service provides diagnosis, treatment, and facilitates early discharge of frail patients and provides interface with frailty virtual ward (established in November 2022).
We have close links with the Integrated Care Board for Cambridge and Peterborough and are there are plans to work with community partners to develop a Community Falls Hub and other community pathways.
