Job responsibilities
Helping others improve and turn their lives around theres no better feeling. Its what we do for thousands of people at more than 150 sites across the UK. Be a part of it.
Support Worker
Long Eaton Day Services, NG10 1DS
£13.15 per hour | Monday to Friday | Weekday shifts
Change lives by helping people enjoy fuller, more meaningful days.
At Long Eaton Day Services, support is about much more than completing a list of tasks. It is about getting to know each person, understanding how they communicate and helping them enjoy activities, relationships and experiences that matter to them.
We support individuals with a primary diagnosis of a learning disability, as well as people with complex health needs, physical disabilities and autism. We are looking for an experienced Support Worker who can bring care, energy and flexibility to our team.
What working here can feel like:
Some of the people attending the service communicate non-verbally. That means making a difference can involve noticing a smile, a change in expression, someone holding your hand or another individual response that tells you they are enjoying themselves or that something is not quite right.
Our team describes those moments as some of the most meaningful parts of the role. This is a lively, activity-focused service where people enjoy themed days, music, games, dressing up, movement and other experiences shaped around their interests and abilities.
Your day-to-day responsibilities:
Get to know each person and understand their individual need s, preferences and communication style.
Provide physical and emotional support with patience, warmth and respect.
Help people take part in stimulating, varied and enjoyable activities.
Offer enhanced care through a flexible and individualised approach.
Support individual medical and welfare needs in line with your training and agreed plans.
Notice and report changes in a persons health, wellbeing or behaviour.
Encourage choice, participation and independence wherever possible.
Support personal care and dietary needs respectfully.
Safeguard the people in our care.
Help maintain a clean and safe environment.
Work closely with colleagues to provide consistent, person-centred support.
You are:
Experienced for at least one year in a support setting, ideally working with people with learning disabilities.
Caring, patient and genuinely interested in the people you support.
A strong communicator who understands that communication is not always verbal.
Observant and willing to learn how each person expresses their needs.
A positive team player who will support colleagues during busy or challenging days.
Flexible and able to adjust when plans change.
Energetic, creative and willing to get involved.
Passionate about supporting independence, dignity and individual choice.
Bring your interests and ideas
You do not need to leave your personality at the door. Whether you enjoy music, movement, crafts, games or creating themed activities, your interests could help someone else connect, participate or simply have a brilliant day.
This is a service where ideas can be explored and adapted to suit a wide range of individual needs. The aim is not to take a one-size-fits-all approach, but to help each person feel welcomed, understood and able to enjoy the service in their own way.
A team that supports one another
This can be a fast-paced environment and not every day will go exactly as planned. Teamwork matters. Colleagues talk openly about supporting and motivating one another, learning from difficult days and working together to make the next day better.
Why Cygnet?
£13.15 per hour.
Monday to Friday day shifts.
Paid breaks.
Free parking.
A free DBS check.
Full paid training and induction.
A contributory pension scheme.
NHS, Blue Light and Reward Gateway discounts and benefits.
What could you gain?
Alongside making a meaningful difference, you can develop valuable experience in:
Person-centred support.
Adapting your communication.
Supporting people with complex and varied needs.
Teamwork in a busy care environment.
Recognising changes in wellbeing.
Encouraging participation and independence.
Building trusted relationships.
Colleagues describe the work as challenging at times, but also fulfilling, rewarding and an opportunity to grow in confidence.

If you have relevant support experience, genuinely care about people and want to help create days filled with purpose, connection and enjoyment, we would like to hear from you.

We are recruiting Administrators to join our teams across Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital. You don't need previous NHS experience - we can teach you the systems. What we can't teach is compassion, professionalism and the ability to care about getting things right for patients. That's what we're looking for.
Main duties of the job
What you'll bring:
- A caring and compassionate approach
- Confidence communicating with patients and the public
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Basic IT skills (typing, email, data entry, use of computer systems)
- The ability to work as part of a close-knit team

Patient care is at the heart of everything we do, and our administrative teams are central to making that care possible. If you are organised, compassionate, and want a role where your work truly matters, we would love to hear from you.
About us
The Humber Health Partnership is one of the largest acute and community Partnership arrangements in the NHS, seeing well over one million patients every year and managing a budget of over £1.3 billion.
Made up of two Trusts - Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust (NLAG) and Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (HUTH) - our Partnership has significant ambitions and is committed to delivering world-class hospital and community services for the 1.65 million people we serve.
Together we employ nearly 20,000 staff. Our five main hospital sites are Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, Scunthorpe General Hospital and Goole and District Hospital, for NLAG and Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital for HUTH.
As Teaching Hospitals working with the Hull York Medical School, we both lead and contribute to research in many areas - biomedical research, primary care, palliative medicine, cardiovascular and respiratory medicine, vascular surgery, cancer surgery and oncology.
We believe that by developing a diverse, inclusive, innovative, skilled and caring workforce, we can deliver excellent care to our patients and a great future for our employees, our Partnership and our community.

Job summary
Hub 1B - Band 2 Administrator (Dermatology department)
Castle Hill Hospital - Full time
Have you ever thought about working for the NHS?
Behind every appointment, every clinic, every patient seen - there is someone who made it happen.
Our Administrators are the unseen heroes of patient care. The reassuring voice on the phone. The organised mind behind the clinic list. The calm presence supporting patients in what can often be their most worrying moments. Without them, patients don't get seen. Services don't run. Care doesn't flow.
A caring and compassionate approach
Confidence communicating with patients and the public
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Basic IT skills (typing, email, data entry, use of computer systems)
The ability to work as part of a close-knit team
Calmness in a sometimes fast-paced environment
What you'll gain:
The chance to make a real difference every single day
Full and part-time opportunities with flexible working options
One of the best pension schemes available
Generous annual leave entitlement - because you work hard and deserve proper time off
Structured training and ongoing support
Genuine career progression - many of our senior leaders began in administrative roles

Reference: 2386015
Job summary
This is not just about running an aseptic unit. It is about ensuring some of our most complex medicines reach patients safely.
Following a planned retirement, University Hospitals Dorset has a rare opportunity for an experienced aseptic services leader to take responsibility for our established service and help shape what comes next.
Our aseptic unit prepares more than 25,000 medicine items each year, including chemotherapy and monoclonal antibodies, and supports medicines used within clinical trials.
As our Head of Aseptic Services, you will hold overall accountability for service delivery and operational oversight across pharmacy technical services. You will provide the specialist leadership and assurance needed to maintain the quality, safety and professional standards on which our patients and clinical teams depend.
This is a role with significant professional responsibility, but also significant opportunity. We are looking for someone with the technical credibility, leadership and ambition to develop our people, drive improvement and shape the future direction of aseptic services at UHD.
Relocation expenses will be available for this role in line with Trust policies and subject to internal review.
Base location - Poole Hospital but with occasionally working at Royal Bournemouth Hospital
Advert closes: 1st November 2026
Shortlisting: w/c 2nd November 2026
Interview date: 14th November 2026
Main duties of the job
The quality. The complexity. The opportunity.
You will provide strategic leadership across aseptic services and pharmacy quality assurance, leading the development and continuous improvement of our Pharmaceutical Quality System and ensuring our service continues to meet the required standards.
You will lead inspection readiness, oversee responses to audits, incidents and areas of non-compliance, and ensure our facilities, equipment, systems and working practices support safe and effective service delivery.
But maintaining today's standards is only part of the role.
You will lead service development and improvement, exploring new technologies, equipment and service models and developing capacity, supply and business continuity plans. You will contribute to regional and system-wide work exploring the future of aseptic services and play an important role in our digital transformation.
Working across professional boundaries, you will provide expert advice, manage complex risks and lead and develop our multidisciplinary aseptic workforce.
When standards matter, you will be the person accountable for ensuring they are right.
