We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic healthcare professional with a keen interest in digital healthcare, ideally with experience in the management of medicines, chemotherapy and research protocols. Our team also supports the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH) and will play an important role in future Epic Connect partnerships. The successful candidate will join an experienced and diverse team of analysts who support UCLH's digital infrastructure.
The EHRS team seek to improve patient care and staff experience through the effective use of our digital solution, Epic. The team modify Epic to reflect and support these working practices. We test changes to ensure that they fulfil organisation requirements, are safe, and work as expected. We provide support to end-users using our specialist application knowledge through regular meetings and through incident investigation and resolution. The NHS is currently experiencing a revolution in which digital technology is being used to improve delivery of care. UCLH requires innovative and creative individuals to support these changes within the EHR team.
The banding/starting salary of this post will be dependent on previous experience and qualifications. If the individual appointed to the role is currently working at a band 7 level and is not certified in Epic Willow Inpatient or Beacon modules, they will be required to start on a band 6 salary; progression back to their existing band 7 will be dependent on achieving certification and demonstrating competence across all elements of the role. This typically takes 9-12 months from appointment and includes support to study the relevant Epic modules and exams, and training in UCLH's build standards and system governance.
