St Bartholomew's Hospital is building a vibrant, ambitious nursing and allied professional (NAP) research culture. We are committed to ensuring every NAP role includes research.We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Clinical Research Programme Facilitator/Fellow to support and coordinate our growing research-in-practice programme. This one-year fixed term role offers an excellent development opportunity for nurses, allied health professionals or healthcare scientists with an interest in research, evidence-based practice and clinicalacademic careers.
Main duties of the job
Working closely with the Interim Director of Clinical Research, you will help deliver key programmes including the Evidence Champion Network, international masterclass series and monthly research newsletter. You will support new initiatives that strengthen research awareness, capability and engagement across the NAP workforce, and act as a visible advocate for evidence-based practice in clinical areas. You will build strong multidisciplinary relationships, contribute to education and training, and support identification of areas whereresearch or evidence could improve patient outcomes and experience. Applicants with a PhD will have one day per week protected for contributing to departmental research-in-practice research activity and developing their own research.

Job summary
We are looking for a highly motivated, innovative, and dynamic individual to lead and head our Radio Pharmacy team based at St Bartholomew's Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing and forward-thinking Division working collaboratively with colleagues to develop radio pharmacy capacity to support an expanding nuclear medicine department and providing to a range of external radiopharmaceutical customers.
The post holder, reporting to the Divisional Director of Clinical Services (St Bartholomew's Hospital), will work closely with Group Chief Pharmacist and wider senior leadership team to maximise the benefits of working within the sites to provide a cohesive radio pharmacy service to patients, the trust and partners.
Main duties of the job
This challenging role requires someone who can demonstrate excellent leadership and organisational skills, can communicate effectively across all levels, and has the ability to prioritise and independently manage their own workload. You will also be highly motivated, enthusiastic to promote new ideas, determined to succeed in a challenging environment, has the willingness to accept considerable delegated responsibility, the ability to remain calm under pressure and a commitment to future developments in radiopharmacy services.
Working in an MHRA licensed Radiopharmacy Production facility, the purpose of this post will lead the strategic development of Radiopharmacy services as Head of Radiopharmacy for Barts Health NHS Trust. As such, the post holder is required to maintain government licenses as the named individual and Quality Controller on the MHRA 'specials' manufacturing licence.
This post has overall responsibility for the manufacture and quality of diagnostic and therapeutic radioactive medicinal products produced by the Radiopharmacy for patient administration. The post provides leadership in the Radiopharmacy and supervision of standards for the Radiopharmacy service. The post holder will be accountable for compliance with Good Manufacturing Practise (GMP) and all other relevant standards. The post holder will also be responsible for recalling products and investigating quality problems when required.

- To triage/accept patients and carry out assessments of patients, develop programmes of care. Ensure that programmes are implemented throughout the 24-hour period within the patients home. Community setting demands continued risk mitigation by assessment

The Neurology Service at UHD covers the whole county and there is an expectation of this job to participate in clinics/ward cover at 2 of the 3 sites (Poole, Bournemouth and Dorchester)
This is a permanent post working 8 PA's per week, with an opportunity for specialists in Epilepsy or Multiple Sclerosis. Both these specialities are well supported by a MDT of practitioners and you would work closely as a team.
Main duties of the job
The post holder would be expected to play a full role in delivery of the Neurology service across Dorset. This includes support to the acute wards for Neurology patients as well as carrying an outpatient case load.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Advanced Cardiac Physiologist - Echocardiographer to join the Cardiology Diagnostics team at Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust.
The post holder will be an independent, accredited echocardiographer, delivering a wide range of routine, complex and specialist echocardiography investigations across inpatient and outpatient settings. You will play a key role in supporting safe, timely diagnosis and ongoing management of patients with cardiac disease, working closely with consultant cardiologists and the wider multidisciplinary team.
The Trust actively promotes the provision of 7-day diagnostic services, and the post holder will be expected to support weekend working.
The post may also be suitable for an experienced Specialist Cardiac Physiologist who is looking to further develop their echocardiography skills. In these circumstances, support will be provided to achieve accreditation, with salary adjusted in line with qualifications and experience.
In addition to delivering high-quality clinical activity, the role includes supporting service delivery, supervising and training junior staff, contributing to service development, and deputising for senior colleagues within the echocardiography service when required. All work will be undertaken in line with professional standards, Trust policies and governance requirements
Main duties of the job
Perform a full range of standard and complex echocardiography studies, including portable ward-based scans, adapting examinations to clinical indication and patient condition
Produce accurate, timely clinical reports, recognising and escalating significantly abnormal findings to cardiology clinicians as required
Participate in advanced echocardiography activity, including stress echocardiography, contrast studies, TOE support and specialist physiologist-led clinics
Work as an autonomous practitioner, exercising advanced clinical judgement in a high-volume diagnostic service
Support the day-to-day running of the echocardiography service, including prioritisation of worklists and deputising for senior staff when required
Provide training, supervision and support to trainee and junior cardiac physiologists and contribute to education of medical staff

We are seeking a Band 4 Nursery Nurse to join the NICU Team. Working across NICU and Transitional care on the postnatal ward to provide care to our baby's.
The NICU is one of the 3 tertiary centres for the Eastern Neonatal network and part of the East of England Neonatal ODN. The unit admits babies requiring tertiary neonatal care including surgery and neurosurgery.
Lady Mary ward is a 27 bedded postnatal ward caring for families from the birth of their baby until discharge home. The ward also cares for mothers whose babies are on the neonatal unit (NICU).
You will receive training and development in this friendly and dynamic organisation which seeks to innovate and strives for excellence. You will also receive a full and comprehensive orientation package and professional support tailored to individual needs.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for providing safe and effective care to babies within the service under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. This will include all aspects of parent craft and discharge planning.

CONSULTANT IN CARDIOLOGY WSI IMAGING
We are seeking to recruit 2x innovative and progressive Consultants with an interest in Imaging (Cardiac MRI) to join our Cardiology team. The appointees will cover our new hospital Midland Metropolitan University Hospital (MMUH) during the on call with outpatient clinics at City hospital Birmingham and/or Sandwell General Hospital. Applications are welcomed from candidates with CCT (or equivalent) with an interest in Cardiac MRI who are on the General Medical Council's Specialist Register in Cardiology or who will be within six months of obtaining their CCT at the time of interview. In addition, applicants should demonstrate within their application that they are fully trained in general Cardiology, can manage Cardiology oncalls and can perform the imaging modality independently. This job is a substantive post.

Main duties of the job
The appointee will perform first class imaging (CMR) for elective outpatient cases and urgent inpatients where required. The candidate will also perform on-calls for Cardiology wards and general cardiology 1 in 10 (with internal cover).
The appointee will cover clinics (general Cardiology & specialty), ward rounds and administration duties and will also provide flexible imaging cover. The post will be based primarily at MMUH for ward rounds, and oncalls. Based on the imaging modality, the sessions will be either in MMUH, Sandwell General Hospital or Birmingham City Hospital. The Trust has reconfigured its services in preparation for the implementation of the Right Care Right Here Programme and the post-holder therefore is required have outpatient work continuing on at least one of the other sites.
The appointee will take equal responsibility with existing Consultants for the proper functioning of the clinical service, working with clinical and managerial colleagues towards achieving and maintaining national maximum waiting times and developing clinical pathways.

Dr Vinoda Sharma is currently Specialty Lead for Cardiology; Dr Stavros Apostolakis is the Clinical Director for Admitted Care, of which Cardiology forms a part; Dr Chetan Varma (also an Interventional Consultant Cardiologist) is the Group Director for Medicine and Emergency Care. MMUH has Medical Admission Units adjacent to the Emergency Departments. The Trust runs a ward-based system for general medical patients.
Cardiology day time duties:
The cardiology consultants provide a seven day service for cardiology patients at MMUH. The appointee will participate in day time general cardiac duties as Cardiologist of the Week (COW) at MMUH Cardiology department on a 1 in 10 rota (8am-6pm weekdays), reviewing and managing Cardiology patients, and 8am -2pm on the weekend of the COW week. On the MMUH AMU, there is a daily consultant ward round on the acute medical unit (after initial assessment by the RMO and medical on-take team) in which patients needing prolonged specialist cardiac or catheter lab management are transferred the Cardiology A2 ward. All the patients requiring cardiology management are reviewed by the cardiology team with daily ward rounds on the cardiology wards, acute medical unit and ward referrals. All suspected acute coronary syndrome patients will be seen, as well as those with significant arrhythmias and those with heart failure. AMU Cardiology referrals in MMUH are covered by the Interventional Cardiologists who perform a 1:8 cover Monday to Friday from 08:00-12:30 noon. On call weekend interventional cardiologists do a Saturday morning list for acute ward patients.
Out-patient Clinics at Sandwell and City Hospitals
At Sandwell Hospital, the out-patient department is directly adjacent to the cardiology department and therefore access to exercise testing, echocardiography and rhythm management facilities. At City Hospital, the Birmingham Treatment Centre also provides out-patient facilities adjacent to the Cardiology Department. The appointee would have two cardiology clinics per week. There may be a requirement for the appointee to do outpatient work outside the hospital in line with the Right Care Right Here programme. At present there were a total of about 18000 outpatient attendances per year in the cardiology Dept. Modern IT systems (UNITY) support delivery of service to improve rapid turnover and communication with primary care and all our patient records are electronic.
Cardiac Intervention/Pacing
MMUH is equipped with state of the art Siemens Artis Icono Biplane catheter labs adjacent to each other with a brand new third catheter lab which opened in March 2026 and is dedicated to pacing and devices. Main duties of the job
As a key member of the Finance team, you will be responsible for working in partnership with our directorates as well as corporate Senior Managers to help them manage their financial performance by providing incisive value-adding financial support and insights.
This includes providing expert financial advice, budget management support, and playing a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of the organisations financial plan and cost improvement programmes. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Assistant to support our UKAS accredited department by carrying out a range of routine pre- and post-analytical tasks across various areas including the urgent bench, referrals, miscellaneous, Histology, and routine blood sciences.Full training will be provided, so no degree is required. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in a customer service environment, be computer literate with good keyboard skills, and have strong attention to detail. Flexibility to work shifts in a 24/7 service is essential. This is an excellent opportunity to join a quality-driven team and contribute to vital healthcare services.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will perform a range of routine and non-routine tasks within Pathology including, numbering up clinical samples, liaising with external laboratories to obtain outstanding referral results, entering patient results into the Laboratory system, advising patients and service users on appropriate tests, dealing with private patients invoicing and dealing with the sensitive disposal of foetal remains.

Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Housekeeper to provide efficient high-quality service to patients and be responsible for the co-ordination of all patient facilities in the unit area.
To support the nursing team in maintaining high standards of cleanliness of the ICU, bed areas, equipment, and storage areas. To support in the reporting and monitoring of environmental cleanliness and safety along with the monitoring of quality standards.

You should possess excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise across multi agencies and multi-disciplinary departments.

Main duties of the job
We require a well-motivated and enthusiastic individual to work as a Housekeeper within the Intensive care Unit, this role includes the undertaking of daily organisation, maintaining stock levels, audits, and cleanliness of the environment.

Job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic, polite, confident, resilient and organised individual to join the ENT ODP Service as a Health Care Assistant band 2 or Clinical Support Worker band 3 (depending on experience) .
You will be expected to have good interpersonal and communication skills to deal with the numerous patients that visit outpatients on a daily basis.
Be able to work without constant direct supervision using initiative within the level of competence for the post.

Job responsibilities
- The post holder will work as part of the Outpatient Department at CRH, HRI and Acre
- To assist the multidisciplinary team to provide exemplary and compassionate care within the outpatient setting.
- To actively assist in the delivery of individual programmes of care under the direction of qualified staff and alone.
- To participate as an effective member of the team.
- To follow instructions and report any changes
- To proactively support the provisions of high standards of nursing care in the outpatient setting

- English and Math GCSE grade 9-2 (A*-E) or equivalent or high level of literacy and numeracy skills demonstrated within application
- Competence based level 2 Qualification e.g. NVQ or Diploma in Care or The Care Certificate issued by an employer
- Willingness to undertake any training or development relevant to the role
- Moving and Handling
- Infection Control

- Competent / able to evidence the completion of Health Care Assistant core competencies
