Job summary
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Sonographer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking to develop a career in medical ultrasound imaging. You will receive comprehensive on-the-job training and mentorship from experienced sonographers while working in a supportive and dynamic environment.
This will involve theoretical and practical study through the completion of a Post-graduate Diploma in Ultrasound. This is a challenging, yet rewarding programme of study offering the opportunity to develop high-level skills required of an autonomous Ultrasound practitioner in multiple areas of Ultrasound practice.
We are a forward thinking department, committed to training, encouraging and supporting personal development. We have a lead sonographer in place to support the sonographers and help develop the ultrasound service.
Main duties of the job
You will be a flexible team player with excellent communication skills and able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will be required to organise your workload according to demand, scanning inpatients, outpatients and GP referrals. We expect a high quality of patient care to maintain our efficient and cost effect service. The Ultrasound department operates 7 day working. On completion of training, you will be expected to participate in the weekend and bank holiday rota. The service supports flexible working arrangements the majority of our team contribute to extended days through flexible contracts.Although based at the Westmorland General Hospital, you will be required to provide cover at all Trust Sites as the service requires.
About us
We operate from three main hospitals - Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community health care premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.
FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.
WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.
All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.

We have an exciting new opportunity for 2 professional and experienced Radiographers with a passion for reporting plain film imaging to join our friendly and dynamic reporting radiographer team at The University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS FT.
The post is advertised at Westmorland General Hospital but the base can be flexible and will include mainly reporting with a maximum of 1 day per week clinical radiographer duties.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidates will have completed Post Graduate training and qualification in Radiographic reporting, training to develop specialist clinical and technical knowledge and experience to be able to report Radiography examinations including Chest reporting. Candidates will be expected to be able to undertake own caseload, interpret findings, make detailed reports, and feed back to the referring consultants / relevant MDT.
Ongoing clinical assessment and audit of reporting practice will be required to ensure competence and ongoing sensitivity and specificity accuracy
The post holders will be able to demonstrate expert clinical practice and contribute to the education of radiography colleagues.

We are looking for a qualified or trainee Technical Instructor who is able to complete the Assistant Practitioner Apprenticeship training. You will work within our friendly therapy team, alongside registered therapy colleagues delivering high quality rehabilitation.
The therapy team consists of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Technical Instructors, Therapy Assistants and Admin colleagues.
You will carry a caseload delegated by the nominated clinician, and be responsible for interventions with patients. You will carry out the assessment of an individual's level of function and consider the persons activities of daily living.
Applicants must have a genuine interest in people and be enthusiastic and motivated in enabling people to regain and retain their independence.The Community Therapy team covers the Lancaster District of Lancashire, based at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary.
Service hours Monday - Friday 08:00 - `18:30 and Saturday and Sunday 08:30 - 16:30 on a rota basis.

The post holder will work as a member of the Integrated Community Therapy & Rehabilitation Service - North Lancs toprovide assessment and rehabilitation asa partof the wider multi-disciplinary service.
The post holder will provide assessment and treatment to patients with diverse health needs,mainly within peoples ownhomes and the residential rehabilitation unit , butwith flexibility to work in other areas asrequired.
Youwillassistqualified Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy staff in the education and training of staff from own and other disciplines within the multi-disciplinary service, including training to care and other support staff.
Provide feedback to the qualified Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist and recogniseown limitations.
Will engage in regular informal and formal supervision.
Be responsible formanaging a delegated caseload on aday to daybasis includingprioritisationof tasks.
Assess, provide and check the provision of aids, equipmentand exercises to patients on your defined case load.
Work in the community as a lone worker in line with Trust and departmental Lone Working Policy.
Adhere to the code of ethics and conduct for Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy and Allied Health Professional standards of practice, as required by the team.

o The Clinician Support Officer providers secretarial and administrative support to clinicians and is accountable to the Care Group Service Manager.

Job summary
The role is a 1-year fixed term opportunity (or possible secondment) with the aim of securing further extension into a permanent role with the successful implementation of the service. The service offers a consistent, evidence-based therapeutic intervention to young people presenting with high-risk behaviours including self-harm, suicidal ideation, and emotional dysregulation. The primary aim is to reduce inpatient admissions and A&E presentations, support timely transitions from inpatient to community settings, and enhance the long-term emotional wellbeing of young people and their families. The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of a high-quality, structured fully comprehensive DBT-A programme, including individual therapy, multifamily group skills training, telephone coaching and active participation in the weekly DBT consultation team. They will work closely with other DBT therapists, CAMHS colleagues, crisis teams, schools, Tier 4 providers, and other community stakeholders to ensure effective engagement, risk management, and continuity of care for young people accessing the pathway.

The role includes contributing to the coordination and implementation of the DBT-A model within a multi-disciplinary framework, providing specialist DBT assessment and intervention, supporting trauma-informed care planning, and offering consultation and training to professionals across the local system. Join our dedicated Integrated Care Team as a Community Nurse, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care across the local community. Main duties of the job
As the Interventional & Fluoroscopy Radiology Manager, you will lead the provision of a high-quality, efficient and cost-effective service, managing colleagues, facilities and resources to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients. You will work closely with Clinical Specialists, Radiologists and the wider senior management team to develop and enhance services in response to future healthcare demands.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing the Interventional Radiology and Fluoroscopy team, including radiographers, assistant practitioners and learners.
- Supporting service delivery across Interventional Radiology, Fluoroscopy, Cardiac Catheter Labs, Hybrid Theatre and Endoscopy.
- Managing demand and capacity, ensuring waiting times and vetting processes meet national and local standards.
- Driving service improvement, quality standards, audit activity and innovation.
- Leading recruitment, workforce planning, training and succession planning initiatives.
- Undertaking specialist interventional, fluoroscopy and cardiac procedures whilst maintaining the highest professional standards.
- Supporting the department's Quality Standard for Imaging Services (QSI) accreditation and governance programmes.

Act as the Trust's expert practitioner for adult enteral and parenteral nutrition.
