Job summary
The Chair will provide strategic leadership to the Board of South West London Training Hub CIC, ensuring that the organisation is well governed, financially sustainable and focused on delivering its community interest objectives.
The Chair will create the conditions for effective Board leadership, constructive challenge and robust decision-making while maintaining productive relationships with the Operational Lead, Directors and system partners.
The role requires an individual who can balance strategic oversight with a sound understanding of operational delivery and workforce development within primary care. The Chair will support the organisation through a period of leadership transition, workforce transformation and increasing expectations around organisational resilience and financial sustainability.
Main duties of the job
- Lead the Board in setting and overseeing the strategic direction of South West London Training Hub CIC
- Ensure the Board operates effectively and in accordance with the Company's Articles of Association, statutory requirements and governance framework
- Ensure the Board focuses on strategy, governance, assurance, scrutiny and organisational sustainability, while enabling the operational leadership team to focus on implementation, management and delivery of the Training Hub's offer
- Support the organisation with next years re-procurement of Training Hubs by Heath Education England/NHS England
- Promote the highest standards of integrity, accountability, transparency and ethical conduct
- Foster an inclusive and effective Board culture that encourages constructive challenge, respectful debate and collective decision-making
- Ensure Directors understand and fulfil their statutory and fiduciary responsibilities
- Ensure actual, potential and perceived conflicts of interest are appropriately identified, declared and managed
- Lead regular reviews of Board effectiveness and governance arrangements
- Support the recruitment, induction, appraisal and development of Board members
- Work with the Operational Lead and Directors to shape, develop and oversee delivery of the organisation's strategic objectives
About us
South West London Training Hub CIC is the strategic workforce development organisation serving the six boroughs of Croydon, Kingston, Merton, Richmond, Sutton and Wandsworth. The organisation works across a complex health and care system, bringing together Primary Care Networks (PCNs), GP practices, locality Training Hubs, NHS England, SWL Integrated Care Board, higher education institutions and wider health and care partners to support the development of a sustainable primary and community care workforce
The Training Hub plays a pivotal role in supporting workforce transformation across primary care, including education and training, workforce planning, recruitment and retention initiatives, leadership development, multidisciplinary team development and the introduction of new workforce models. Through collaboration with locality Training Hubs, the organisation provides strategic coordination, system leadership and support to ensure workforce development activity is aligned across SWL.
As a (CIC), SWL Training Hub CIC operates within a rapidly changing NHS environment characterised by evolving workforce priorities, financial pressures and changing commissioning arrangements. To remain effective and sustainable, the organisation must continue to strengthen its governance arrangements, diversify income streams, demonstrate impact and maintain strong partnership relationships across the health and care system.

Hello, my name is Erica Apps, and I am the Lead Nurse for the Pain Speciality at the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust.
We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Band 3 Health Care Support Worker in our Specialist Pain Services. The Pain Service is a specialist team working with people with complex chronic pain.
This role is unique and will be an interesting career development for people at any point in their working lives. The role involves working evenings, nights and weekends to support the patients during their specialist pain rehabilitation.
You will be based in Bernard Ireland House (E2) at the RUH within this department we have accommodation for the patients accessing the specialist pain rehabilitation programmes.
We are a professional and supportive team. We understand the pressures that we all face, and we work together to provide outstanding care to all our patients.

Main duties of the job
Your responsibilities will include supporting our patients with personal care and activities of daily living whilst also maintaining running of the accommodation and clinic/therapy rooms.

You will help provide emotional support to both our patients and the people that are close to them, assist in providing management behaviour techniques and deliver the best care possible to our patients who have significant pain and pain associated disabilities

The job will be a combination of both Obstetrics and Gynaecology care, both elective and emergency work. The job plan has the potential to be tailored to the specialist interest of the successful candidates. The Consultants provides the out of hours and clinic gynaecological ultrasound service so having a good level of gynaecological and early pregnancy scanning skill is desired.

Main duties of the job
o To coordinate all pharmaceutical aspects of oncology and haematology clinical trials across the Trust, and to help ensure the provision of a quality pharmaceutical dispensing and aseptic service to patients of the Trust with regard to these trials.
oComply with specific guidance and regulations relating to clinical trials, for example International Conference on Harmonisation for Good Clinical Practice (ICH E6 R3), the Medicines for Human Use (Clinical Trials) (Amendment) Regulations 2025, and other relevant guidelines, regulations and policies on Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) for Clinical Trials.

Main duties of the job
Theatre Healthcare Assistant
The Theatre Healthcare Assistant is a valued member of our Operating Theatre team, providing essential support to Registered Theatre Practitioners within the department. Working under the supervision and guidance of a Senior Theatre Healthcare Support Worker or Registered Theatre Practitioner, you will undertake a wide range of activities that contribute to the safe and effective delivery of patient care within the theatre environment.
This role offers excellent opportunities for personal and professional development. Successful candidates will be supported to complete the Care Certificate and a range of in-house theatre competencies, enabling them to develop their skills and progress within the department.

This role involves providing a range of therapeutic interventions and treatments to patients and liaising with patients and family / carers in discharge planning and prevention of falls.
The post-holder will be expected to identify and support the physical limitations of a patients disability and their functional problems to support the therapy team to deliver early routine assessments and rehabilitation. There will be a requirement to develop strong links with the multidisciplinary teams working in the acute and community settings. The caseload will be patients who are recovering following admission to the acute medical and respiratory wards and are being assessed for discharge home or to their normal place of residence. There will be a strong Occupational Therapy focus within the role and an expectation to support both professions on a daily basis.
Members of the team will be expected to work across all areas or the Physiotherapy service as required and be available for the shifts across 7 days including weekends and bank holidays.
The role comes with the added benefit of being in a modern city with a wide range of leisure activities and entertainment facilities. Based within the heart of beautiful Devon and just off the M5, Exeter has a lot to offer, with a stunning coastline and picturesque moors within throwing distance of the city.

Transformation Manager (12 month fixed term/secondment opportunity)

Main duties of the job

You will be part of a team responsible for the 24/7 running of the routine Haematology & Blood Transfusion section and have the opportunity to play an integral part in introducing new methodologies and technologies and providing a service of the highest standard to our service users.
You will be working 37.5 hrs per week with ashift pattern of 3 consecutive twelve-hour night shifts with 3/4 nights rest period before the next set of night shifts. The rest period between each set of night shifts will vary to accommodate the working hours.

Job summary
We are looking for a passionate and motivated individual to come and join our team of technologists and radiographers working in Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT at the Royal United Hospital NHS Trust in Bath.
We are proud to have been the first department in the UK to install a Veriton SPECT-CT gamma camera; which has advanced our protocols to include more and more SPECT-CT imaging over the past 5 years. We have recently moved into a new department in the Dyson Cancer centre in Bath, which included the installation of a new GE 870 gamma camera. We image with contrast CT for vulval sentinel node and parathyroid imaging and are looking to advance this further to other images.
We are also in the process of funding for a new PET CT camera and increased department size in the next few years.
We are looking to increase our capacity through PET CT by extending working days from 8am to 8pm. This will be discussed how your full time hours can be adjusted to suit this at least once a week.
Main duties of the job
We provide diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including non-imaging tests. The role includes; quality assurance of equipment, ordering of radiopharmaceuticals, dispensing from multi-dose vials and administration via injection, inhalation and ingestion. The majority of imaging of patients is with SPECT-CT and sometimes includes contrast CT. The role requires regular training and auditing of skills as well as involvement with updating of documentation. Safe use and handling of radioactive materials is important.

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Receptionist to join our Emergency Department Reception Team. This is a busy, 24-hour service where you will play a vital role in supporting patients arriving via GP referral, ambulance, or self-presentation.
The Emergency Department operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, including bank holidays. The role therefore requires flexibility to support a range of shift patterns across these service hours.

Main duties of the job
- To provide an efficient and comprehensive administration and reception service, supporting the Emergency Departments clinical teams.
- To provide front of house services to patients and relatives in a professional and sensitive manner ensuring confidentiality at all times
- To deal with all Emergency Department telephone and email queries
- Book in and direct all patients who attend the Emergency Department, carrying out a basic triage of patients, taking into account the severity of the complaint, and ensure clinical staff are aware of their arrival as necessary.
- Provide empathy when dealing with highly sensitive areas, such as relations of very poorly or deceased patients, or with sensitive health conditions.
- To undertake any clerical duties as deemed necessary and reasonable, working autonomously and without direct supervision to prioritise and complete the workload, using established practices and procedures, seeking support if appropriate.

We have an embedded Transitional Care pathway, and an established Outreach service. We are actively involved in the South West Neonatal Network. We have a team of AHPs including a Psychologist who all offer fantastic added support.
Main duties of the job
You will also have excellent management and communication skills and take charge of the unit. Able to demonstrate effective clinical skills of a high quality, looking after special, high dependency and Intensive care babies. Able to demonstrate professional expertise and knowledge acquired through post registration academic study and clinical, leadership and management development. Managerial responsibility and accountability in the absence of the Lead Nurse, for the Neonatal Unit for the twenty four hour care delivery and management of the ward/area of work, including the supervision of staff and students. Expected to maintain a visible presence in the ward/area of work and provide a clear focus for effective clinical leadership to the nursing team . This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified BMS for the role of Expert Scientist Dissector. You will be a HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist, with extensive experience in Cellular Pathology with a membership or Fellowship with the IBMS. You will have completed or be working towards the IBMS Diploma of Expert Practice in Histological Dissection.
The role of an Expert Scientist dissector will predominantly be based within cutup, supporting the service, along side our Consultant Histopathologists and Specialist Trainees. Completing dissection of a range of Histopathology sub-specialties and achieving/maintaining competency in the dissection of category A, B and C specimens.
You will develop agreed protocols and policies and co-ordinate their implementation in the specimen reception and dissection area.
You will play a key role in service development for the dissection area, striving for and maintaining best practise. In liaison with the senior BMS team, the post holder will ensure a timely workflow and assist in maintaining high scientific and technical standards.
You will be active in the training of BMS team members learning dissection both at in-house level and DEP level.
To qualify for this role candidates must hold the DEP in dissection. However, candidates will also be considered if they are currently working towards this qualification.

Shift options to suit your lifestyle:
We offer a variety of shift lengths ranging from 3 to 7.5 hours, making it easy to fit around your lifestyle and we have the following shift patterns:
- Afternoon shifts: 11:30am -7:30pm or 2pm -10pm
- Weekend shifts between: 7am - 10pm
