To do all of this, we need a team of talented, committed professionals who share our vision and are passionate about what they do.

Access to transport is therefore necessary, be it personal or public. All AACC staff are expectedto work flexibly, when required, to meet the needs of the service.
About us
The Integrated Care Board (ICB) has the responsibility to decide what health services are needed in Surrey and Sussex and set out how they'll be provided, making sure hospitals, primary care, and other services work together, rather than in silos, for the benefit of everyone in the community. NHS Surrey Heartlands and Sussex ICB achieve this by working in partnership with local health and care organisations, staff, patients, carers, families and the public, to support three million people across Surrey and Sussex to live healthier lives.
To achieve this, we need a team of people who can think beyond organisational boundaries, strong collaborators, can navigate complexity, challenge constructively, and keep communities at the centre of decisions.
We want everyone to feel welcome at work and are passionate about creating an inclusive, compassionate workplace culture where every colleague feels seen, heard, and valued.
We know through experience that different ideas, perspectives, and backgrounds create a stronger and more creative working environment that delivers better experience and outcomes for our population.
We want our organisation to be a place where diversity is actively celebrated, where safe spaces exist for all identities, and where all voices help shape our direction. We place a high importance on the NHS values - they guide what we do every day, set out how we work, and how we treat each other.

Job summary
The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital is seeking to recruit a Substantive Consultant Spinal Oncology Surgeon to maintain capacity and improve delivery of high-quality spinal surgery to spinal oncology patients referred from General Practitioners, spinal triage services, and other secondary or tertiary care providers.
The spinal department at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital (ROH) is currently made up 13 consultant spinal surgeons supported by registrars, advanced nurse practitioners, extended scope physiotherapists, and Resident doctors. This post is to increase capacity.
The individual appointed to the post will have competed orthopaedic or neurosurgical training and have completed (or be undertaking) a training fellowship in spinal surgery, with particular interest in adult degenerative and surgical oncological conditions of the spine. There is no requirement to lead on spinal deformity cases but assistance may be sought as required.
Interview Date - 03/11/2026.
Main duties of the job
The on-call rota includes 11 of the 13 surgeons and runs 24 hours a day. The on-call referrals are managed through an electronic referral system (ReferAPatient) in line with regional and national guidelines and include secondary, tertiary, and quaternary level referrals. Reference: A1392-26-0001
Job summary
Are you an experienced Practice Nurse looking for your next opportunity or a Registered Nurse considering a move into General Practice?
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and caring Registered Nurse to join our friendly and supportive primary care team at Millbrook Surgery in Castle Cary.
We welcome applications from both experienced Practice Nurses and registered nurses who are new to General Practice and looking to develop a career in primary care.
We recognise that the right candidate may come to us with significant Practice Nursing experience, or with strong transferable nursing skills and a desire to learn. We are therefore happy to consider applicants at different stages of their nursing careers.
For nurses who are new to General Practice, we can provide support, training and development to help you build the knowledge, skills and competencies required to become a confident Practice Nurse.
For experienced Practice Nurses, we want to make the best use of your existing skills and expertise while providing opportunities to continue developing your role.
The salary/pay grade offered will therefore reflect the successful candidate's qualifications, competencies, skills and level of Practice Nursing experience.
Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available, and we also have the opportunity to work across both our practices Millbrook Surgery in Castle and Glastonbury Health Centre.
Main duties of the job
Working within our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based and patient-centred General Practice Nursing care.
Depending on your experience and competencies, duties may include:
Long-term condition reviews and management, including asthma, COPD, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and hypertension, plus spirometry
Adult, childhood and baby immunisations, including seasonal vaccination programmes
Womens health, including cervical screening, contraceptive/pill reviews and injectable contraception
LARC services, including coil and implant fitting/removal where appropriately trained and qualified
Wound assessment and management, dressings and suture/clip removal
Ear assessment, otoscopy and ear irrigation

NHS Health Checks, health promotion and lifestyle advice
ECGs, blood pressure monitoring, injections and other treatment-room procedures
Supporting minor surgery and responding appropriately to clinical deterioration
Maintaining accurate records, clinical coding, infection control and safeguarding standards
Working collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team
You do not need to have all these competencies to apply. Nurses new to General Practice will be supported with training, supervision and competency development. Experienced Practice Nurses will have opportunities to use and further develop their existing expertise.
About us
This role is predominantly based at Millbrook Surgery in Castle Cary, where you will join our friendly and supportive practice team, providing high-quality care to our local community.
Millbrook Surgery works collaboratively with Glastonbury Health Centre, while both practices retain their own identity, teams and patient populations.
For candidates who are interested, there may be opportunities to work across both practices, offering additional variety, shared learning and professional development. This could include developing particular clinical interests or supporting services across the two sites.
Cross-practice working is not a requirement, and Millbrook Surgery will remain the primary base for this role. We are happy to discuss the opportunities available and a working pattern that reflects both practice needs and the successful candidates skills and interests.

Reference: 043-AC162-0926
Job summary
Never has there been a more exciting and challenging time to join the NHS and if you have the desire for a career in NHS leadership, hold a minimum 2:2 degree level qualification (awarded by July 2027) and can apply your passion, curiosity, drive and determination to make a difference then we are interested in you!
The NHS Wales Financial Management Graduate Scheme offers you the opportunity to work across the breadth of the finance function giving you a host of valuable and varied experiences in areas such as financial management, business partnering and financial planning.
The scheme will stretch you and give you the opportunity to develop your financial management and leadership skills whilst studying for a professional accountancy qualification (ACCA). Designed to develop the next generation of finance leaders you will work in complex, challenging environments in partnership with clinicians and other professionals.
Trainees will be supported through formal activities, opportunistic events and be guided by their Graduate Lead. It is expected that the level of responsibility and degree of difficulty / complexity of the work required from trainees will increase over the duration of the programme.
Main duties of the job
If successful, you will be appointed to a finance role in one of our NHS Wales organisations for the duration of the scheme commencing September 2027. For 2027 cohort we expect to have vacancies in the North, West and South of Wales.
As learning is best achieved through putting theory into practice it will be no surprise that the vast majority of time will be based within the finance department of your employing organisation. There you will rotate through a number of placements to gain experience and a solid grounding in all aspects of NHS finance. In addition, there are some centrally provided placements on core financial services such as accounts payable and payroll, provided centrally by the Shared Services Partnership. There are also placements in other NHS Wales organisations to broaden your experience in year 2 and year 3.
You will study for an accredited professional accountancy qualification (ACCA) over 3 years and will be expected to achieve this qualification in order to graduate from the scheme. You can expect first class training and mentor support and a generous study package.
Please see the Graduate Scheme Supporting Information link opposite which has a lot of useful information to support your application, including a FAQ's page and links to our website https://financeacademy.nhs.wales/
If you have any additional queries, please contact the Financial Management Graduate Team at the Finance Academy email address: [email protected]
