Medical Education is an integral part of Barnsley NHS FT, Medical Education works to ensure that Students, Trainees and Medical Staff are supported in delivering safe and efficient patient care through quality placements.
The department is responsible for developing, managing and delivering a range of high quality and cost effective medical educational services within the Trust to specifications required by the General Medical Council, Health Education England, Yorkshire and Humber, Sheffield Medical School and the Trusts Strategic and Operational Framework.
Medical Education has a key role in ensuring the Trust achieves the highest clinical standards. High quality Medical Education supports patient safety, service delivery and the maintenance of up-to-date clinical practice.
Medical Education is regulated by the General Medical Council and Health Education England. The Trust is required to engage with the national quality assurance stipulations via regular quality visits and reports.
Main duties of the job
To provide full and efficient administrative and data management support to the Foundation Programme Director, Director of Post Graduate Medical Education and Medical Education Manager for the delivery of the Foundation Training Curriculum and management of trainee rotations, with particular emphasis on co-ordination, collection, monitoring and analysis of assessment documentation required for the accreditation of F1 and F2 doctors as required in the Operational Framework for Foundation Training.

Job summary
We are seeking to appoint a Specialist Grade in Radiology with aninterest in Breast and/or Gynaecological Imaging to join andstrengthen our established and highly regarded Radiology team. Thisis an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive departmentwhere collaboration, innovation, and service development are activelyencouraged.
This 12-month fixed term post will expand the medicalstaffing establishment in Radiology to 14, further enhancing theresilience and expertise of the service. Multidisciplinary collaborationis a key strength of the service and plays a central role in deliveringhigh-quality patient-centred care.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to demonstrate experience indiagnostic and interventional Breast and/or Gynaecological Imaging,including reporting across plain film, ultrasound, CT, and MRI. Therole also includes undertaking ultrasound-guided breast interventions.
Additional subspecialty reporting skills, such as paediatric radiology,GI, GU and neuroradiology, would be welcomed.
The successful candidate will also provide support to GeneralRadiology services, including participation in on-call and acuteimaging work, ensuring the continued delivery of safe and effectivepatient care.

Job summary
A permanent vacancy has arisen within the Audiology Service for an Audiologist to assist in the provision of a high quality Audiology service to the population of North Wales served by BCUHB. The post holder will perform duties within the Adult Audiology service as described in the job description.

The Elective Care Commissioning Project Manager is responsible for managing defined projects that support the delivery of the commissioning and performance elective care services. Working within an agreed framework, the post holder will lead project planning, delivery and reporting, ensuring projects are delivered to time, quality and cost. The role requires strong analytical, organisational and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across teams and partner organisations to support the successful implementation of strategy in line with national policy, system priorities and organisational objectives. It would be an advantage for the successful candidate to have experience in elective services, particularly head, neck and ophthalmology.
Main duties of the job
- Responsible for commissioning and performance management of elective care services in line with ICB and national strategies, ensuring services meet the needs of Kent & Medway residents. Lead the development of commissioning strategies, needs assessments, policies, commissioning intentions and planning processes across defined areas, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with the Provider Selection Regime (PSR), delivery of value for money, provider performance management and relevant ICB statutory duties. Support strategic partnership working and contribute to planning cycles, assurance processes and delivery of outcomes.
- Manage the team's project support function, including business planning, reporting, risk and issue management, forward planning and delivery of projects and workstreams. Provide high-quality analysis, communication, stakeholder management and administrative support to ensure effective implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programmes.
- Maintain accurate communication and coordination across organisations, preparing correspondence, reports and analysis across a range of specialties and projects. Act as a key member of the team, supporting effective stakeholder engagement and flexible workload management. Operate in accordance with agreed policies and procedures.
- On a rota basis, manage the elective care inbox and the Blueteq system for approving individual funding requests.

This is an exciting opportunity to join NHS Kent and Medway as a People Services Transformation Programme Manager, supporting the delivery of complex transformation programmes that will shape the future of People Services across Kent and Medway and the wider South East. Main duties of the job
You will lead defined workstreams within the Future Workforce Solution and South East Scaling People Services programmes, developing detailed plans, coordinating delivery and maintaining effective governance, risk and assurance arrangements. You will lead organisational readiness and change activities, including change impact assessments, business readiness planning, process redesign and adoption of new ways of working.
You will work closely with stakeholders and subject matter experts across multiple organisations, facilitate workshops and engagement, monitor benefits and outcomes, and identify opportunities for service improvement and standardisation. You will also provide high-quality reports, dashboards and recommendations to programme leadership and support the successful transition of new services and ways of working into business as usual.

The Eating Disorder intensive Service is a community based service, offering an alternative to inpatient care for those acutely unwell with an Eating Disorder.
We work closely with the paediatric team to ensure the physical and mental health needs are met for all our young people.

Job summary
The post holder will work as part of the Babies, Children and Young People Division providing admin support to the Community Children Nurses team. The role is to help support the overall work of the team and support all teams with admin tasks and projects, as well as liaise with the school teams.
Main duties of the job
To ensure all patient appointments for clinics and home visits (CCN's) are booked in accordance with Trust and departmental procedures. Work proactively to achieve high levels of patient attendance in clinic. Maintain accurate waiting and caseload lists to ensure all patients are seen for first and follow-up appointments in a timely manner - escalating as necessary.
Arrange the nurses training schedule for school / nursery staff, carers and holiday clubs. Support the production of accurate and timely service data. Use the data to ensure the smooth running of the service. Be an expert user of the Trust's PAS to carry out the above tasks and support other staff. Support the overall work of the team and provide cover for colleagues as required.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to make a positive impact within The Inclusion Bases within the London Borough of Islington. This newly created post will support a caseload of Primary Aged Children with complex learning needs, the majority of whom have a diagnosis of Autism.
Islington Additional Needs and Disability Service (IANDS) provides a multi-agency team approach to working with babies, children and young people who present with a wide range of needs. The postholder will work within a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency environment, including other Allied Health Professionals, specialist teachers, social workers, psychologists, therapy assistants, nurses and Paediatricians.
The post holder will deliver a highly specialist Occupational Therapy service to children and young people with Education Health and Care Plans within the Islington Additional Needs and Disability Service who have autism, learning disabilities and/or other complex developmental needs affecting participation, learning and engagement. The role will adapt specialist occupational therapy approaches across a tiered service model. This post holder will be based within the Special Schools Team, working primarily at Inclusion Bases within the Islington borough, and may also be involved in supporting the development and delivery of Occupational Therapy interventions to support children & young people with complex needs in other settings.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will manage a specialist caseload, providing assessment, intervention, review and coordinated multidisciplinary working to support children to achieve meaningful occupational outcomes across school, home and community environments. Working closelywith children, families, educational staff and partner agencies, they will contribute to target setting, annual reviews, Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) processes, and the development of Individual Support Plans. They will also deliver Occupational Therapy provision stipulated within EHCPs.
A key aspect of the role will be working closely with education staff within the Inclusion Bases to support the implementation of Occupational Therapy strategies and interventions within daily classroom routines and activities. The post holder will model practical approaches, provide advice and training, and work collaboratively with staff to develop their knowledge and confidence in meeting the needs of children with complex needs within the settings.
In addition to delivering clinical interventions, the post holder will coordinate Occupational Therapy provision across the two inclusion-base settings, working collaboratively with school leaders, school improvement partners and multidisciplinary colleagues to identify emerging needs, promote consistency of practice, monitor outcomes and evaluate the impact of the service.

Job summary
We are looking for committed and motivated radiographers who are skilled in MRI and/or CT and who can contribute to the delivery of safe, high-quality imaging services within a busy community setting.

As a Band 7 Radiographer, you will be expected to rotate across both modalities, provide senior clinical support within the department, manage the work area when required and offer professional advice and supervision to radiographers, students and radiographic assistants. The role includes responsibility for maintaining safe clinical standards, supporting patient flow, reviewing image quality and contributing to the daily running of CT and MRI services.
The post holder will also contribute to the development of radiology services across the Trust, supporting audit, quality assurance, training and service improvement. There will be opportunities to take on line management responsibilities, including rostering, appraisal, staff development, performance management and sickness absence management.
Main duties of the job
Delivering high-quality MRI and CT examinations, ensuring appropriate patient preparation, positioning, image quality and adherence to departmental protocols.
Assessing imaging referrals, acting as an IR(ME)R Operator and working within delegated Practitioner responsibilities where applicable.
Administering IV contrast, including cannulation, use of pressure injectors and assessment of patient suitability for contrast examinations.
Maintain ILS competency and provide an immediate response to clinical emergencies, including recognising deterioration and initiating appropriate emergency care.
Providing senior clinical support and leadership within the department, including supervising junior radiographers, students and radiographic assistants.
Reviewing image quality, identifying urgent or unexpected findings and ensuring appropriate escalation before the patient leaves the department.
Supporting audit, equipment quality assurance, protocol review, staff training and service development across CT and MRI.
Supporting the day-to-day running of the service, including workforce allocation, maintaining patient flow and working within the six-day shift rota.
Contributing to appraisals, staff development, recruitment and line management activities where required.

Job summary
To assist the ward manager/senior charge nurse in the responsibility of the delivery, standards and management of patient care on the ward or department.

Job summary
We are looking for a compassionate, motivated, and reliableNepali-speaking Community Maternity Support Workerto join our Community Maternity Services across East Kent. This is an important development role within our enhanced care pathway, supporting Nepali-speaking women, birthing people, babies and families throughout pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period. The role has been developed to help improve access to maternity care for families who may experience language barriers, social isolation, digital exclusion, unfamiliarity with NHS services or practical difficulties attending appointments. Working alongside community midwives, you will provide practical, culturally responsive support in women's homes, community hubs, clinics and Trust sites. You will help women and families understand how to access maternity services, attend appointments and scans, engage with parent education and infant-feeding support, and know when and how to seek urgent advice. You will provide delegated antenatal and postnatal care within your assessed competence, including practical support with newborn care, infant feeding, maternal wellbeing and health-promotion information. You will work under the direction of a registered midwife, who remains accountable for clinical assessment, care planning and decision-making.
Main duties of the job
This role will contribute to reducing inequalities in maternity care and improving the experience and outcomes of women and babies from communities that may be at greater risk of poor outcomes. You will work closely with community midwives, specialist maternity teams, health visitors, GPs, safeguarding services, approved interpreting services and local voluntary and community organisations. Your ability to speak fluent Nepali and English will be central to helping families feel welcomed, understood and able to engage with care. However, the role does not replace independent professional interpreting services. Professional interpreters will continue to be used for clinical assessment, consent, complex discussions, safeguarding, mental-health concerns, emergency triage and other sensitive conversations. The postholder will be required to work independently in community settings, in line with Trust lone-worker procedures, and will need afull UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. The role involves travel across East Kent and may include occasional weekend work to meet service needs. This post is offered initially atBand 2. Subject to successful completion of the NHS Care Certificate, agreed community maternity competencies, lone-working requirements and demonstration of safe and effective practice, the postholder will progress toBand 3.

The Patient Pathway Coordinator (formerly titled Medical Secretary) will work as part of an administrative team, to support the multidisciplinary clinical and administrative teams to provide a high quality administration service, a positive patient experience and the highest levels of customer service.

Job summary
The Community Adult Haemoglobinopathies Nurse will support the delivery and development of a specialist community service for adults with sickle cell disease, thalassaemia and related conditions across North Central London.
The post holder will provide expert nursing care, coordinate care pathways, and act as a key worker for patients across community, primary, secondary and social care settings.
They will lead nurse-led clinics, support transition into adult services, promote self-management, deliver health education and improve treatment adherence.
The role will focus on reducing health inequalities, preventing avoidable hospital admissions through early intervention, and supporting patients to manage the clinical, psychological and social impact of their condition.
The post holder will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, person-centred care and improved patient outcomes.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide specialist nursing care and support to adults living with sickle cell disease, thalassaemia and other haemoglobinopathies, acting as a key worker, advocate and clinical resource for patients, carers and healthcare professionals. They will undertake holistic assessments, develop and review individualised care plans, and coordinate care for patients with complex physical, psychological and social needs.
The role includes leading nurse-led clinics, promoting self-management, treatment adherence, vaccination uptake and prophylactic medication. The post holder will deliver targeted interventions for patients with frequent hospital attendances, helping to improve outcomes, reduce complications and quality of life.
Working with primary, secondary, community and social care services, the post holder will coordinate patient pathways, facilitate timely discharges, support transition into adult services and reduce avoidable admissions. They will provide education, health promotion, psychosocial support and signposting, empowering patients and carers to manage their condition effectively.
The post holder will contribute to multidisciplinary team working, maintain accurate clinical documentation, participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives, and support staff and patient education. They will promote evidence-based practice and deliver safe, effective person-centred haemoglobinopathy care that meets local population needs.
